A herta is common sticking phrase used in drumming. "RLR L" or "LRL R".
By using this pattern in different ways we can come up with creative and cool-sounding fills.
Practice the fills in this video to get some ideas.
Adjust the playback speed to suit your skill level.

You should do some odd meter stuff? Like maybe some ?/8. 9/8 is really helpful because it’s very easy to compare it to 3/4 and 12/8. But 9/8 can be accented in such a way that it can help to learn 7/8.
9/8 can of course be accented as 3+3+3. But in songs like blue rondo ala Turk, there’s that 2+2+2+3 type accenting which can lead one to learn 2+2+3, which is 7/8
Sorry if this a lot but I feel like you could make some really good exercises in odd time. Love this channel please keep going
