Windows 10 user. The 192 | 4 interface is very noisy. Last driver was put out in 2021…thanks to this interface I have learned that I should check the support page of any device I’m interested in before purchasing, to see if they’ve abandoned it like this one. Anytime I move my mouse I get digital noises. There is always static that some noise gates can’t even eliminate. I HATE having to return stuff 😂

I was having annoying clicks when listening to music on my M-Track 2x2M with MacOS. I'm not using a DAW, just using the interface as a DAC. The solution was simply to turn down the volume in the music player and this fixed the problem.
Unfortunately it's not really a proper fix as it means you need to reduce your volume on every piece of software you use (MacOS does not let you adjust the volume in the OS when using a DAC). And if playing music directly through Finder, there is no volume control. Would be nice to see some drivers from M-Audio for MacOS that would allow adjusting the OS level volume rather than just relying on Apple's audio drivers.

Have you solved the case anyhow?
Got the same situation with M-Audio Air 192/6. Lowering the volume should never be the solution. My previous Focusrite didn't have this issue, so I believe we just bought the brand we shouldn't. If I won't find any reasonable solution, will change back to some other Focusrite interface definitely.

If I play a sound from my Daw and then another one from TH-cam or even clicking the windows volume bar, it makes horrible glitching no matter the driver, buffer size, rate etc.... Do you get the same issue seeing you are using a DAW? I also get pops from simply opening an audio player and closing it.

I'm using an Mtrack MkII and for some reason the default buffer rate went changed. I downloaded the driver after that and set it to my preferred buffer rate but everytime the audio console says its streaming (usually when I use it in discord) my applications start to become unable to recognize of hear my inputs

What I want to know is why the gain stages on my AIR 196/2 are far too low even with phantom engaged, whether with a Lav or an AT2040.

I was having an issue where my IEM was sounding noisy in my interface but not when connected directly to PC's headphone jack. Also, this issue wasn't present on my headphones. I noticed that the noise wasn't permanent. I mean, the noise starts (with a subtle pop) when there's an audio signal, stays for a few seconds, then turns off (with a subtle pop) as of the actual headphones amp on my interface is turning on and off. I noticed that my headphones volume on the interface was 100% while on the OS it was just 20%. I set both the interface and OS volume to 50% and the noise is inaudible now (though I can still hear the very slight pop sound of the amps turning on and off. ( I know the volume in OS is supposed to be 100% and should be controlled by the interface, but I like to control volume from the OS because I am lazy, and also because of the fear of wearing out the potentiometer.

    any tips here?
my Air 192 8 + windows 10 will not keep the bitrate or depth. Seems windows keeps reverting it AUTOMATICALLY upon playback/recording. It causes immediate and continuous dropouts. I've been able to record small bits, but upon saving+reopening, my DAW has a hernia, and the Windows sound settings reverts the bit depth and sample rate to an incorrect setting, the M-Audio control panel keeps flashing "streaming/not streaming" as Windows and M Audio fight tug of war for the sample rate/depth... Idk what to do!

2:52 In the device dropdown I have the m-audio ASIO driver but when I select it it does not find the hardware. I have the latest drivers and re-installed it hundreds of times and it makes no difference. ASIO4ALL causes the DAW's to lag and

This line of 192 audio interface is considered the best in quality for its price range but they have worst driver and they does nothing to fix it and their last updated driver was in 2021. I believe many user has email them to fix the driver but they just don't care. As for me, I will never again buy their audio interfaces no matter how great is their marketing ads.

still have Clicks, Pops and Drops off. Even when I watch video, I have freezes in video and audio. When switch back to the built in audio, no problems occur (video plays smooth without freezes, audio has no any sort of distortions). Also tried to do some trick. I've connected a mick to the input of Air interface, and out was set to the built in audio card. Sound was from microphone was clean. Switched output back to Air 192.6, got distortion, and all other sorts of nasty things :/
