That keyboard player beating the shit out of the bones is the legendary Reese Wynans. Reese still performs today, most often as a member of Joe Banamassa's band. I have seen them 5 times so far, and Reese can STILL burn the house down on the keys. He is a beast!

This is the life of a ROADIE. It's their job to pay attention when something happens to any instrument. There wasn't a signal from Stevie. The ROADIE was paying attention and did his job. That simple.

It's likely his roadies were watching for a broken string (it's not an SRV
concert without string sacrifice), and ran the guitar out when he signaled.

Try Life by the drop. It’s basically just Stevie and an acoustic guitar and some really nice singing.❤ it’s not flashy, but it’s got some really good old-school blues vibes in it.❤ maybe a little country sounding, I don’t know he’s from Texas.

SRV is amazing. Glad you enjoyed him. Yes he passed in the early 90s, his helicopter crashed into a mountain after a concert. Sad thing is he wasn't supposed to be on it. Eric Clapton traded him seats so he could get back to his girl faster. If I'm remembering the story correctly.

At this point in his career, Stevie would have passed on having a drink with you. Nothing personal, and I'm sure he'd have still fun to hang with. He had some serious addiction problems that he was successfully overcoming when this was recorded. He was one of a kind musician.

Steve ray, was the greatest fan of Jimi Hendrix 😭Jimi Hendrix, broke a string at WOODSTOCK, Hendrix only broke strings twice, which is really strange, when you see how he destroyed his guitar, during a concert😂, But at WOODSTOCK, you can see he broke a string, during the song Red House...He continues to play like if everything was normal😂, AND, at Woodstock too, watch Richie Heaven, that black guy, change the string, while he talks to the huge crowd😂 THEY'RE CALLED GUITAR HEROES....Peace from France✌️(I worked as a roadie, I met all the best, played with some of them, as a guitarist since 32 years, but I was too young to met HENDRIX and LED ZEPPELIN 😢)....
