As a long time musician myself and I got to see him three times before he died in that helicopter crash, but I don't just play that kind of music but yeah man right on. What a wonderful way to describe it
Fun fact: from the moment he broke the string to the moment he hit the first note on the fresh guitar, it took precisely 30 seconds - and he never missed a single beat.
Smoothest guitar switch ever never seen anyone switch out of guitar as smooth as that he didn’t miss a beat even when playing the guitar with the broken string he didn’t miss a beat you couldn’t tell that’s how great SRV is!
Great reaction!!! And yes he actually plays with his teeth in Life Without You live from The Capitol Theater. He then turns to his crew off stage, grins and mouths Lost my tooth…Gone…then proceeds to finish the song while looking on the stage for his missing tooth or cap or whatever it was that he lost😂😂😂
Thank you for your reaction Stevie Ray was one of a kind. I was blessed to see him live in 83 and 87. He could play with no strings, teeth ,behind his back whatever it took. You should check out “Life by the drop”and “Life without you” He was amazing. Thank you and I’m now subscribed.✌🏻💜🤘
I used to say something similar about Stevie: he could play a guitar with one string, behind his back while the stage is on fire and never complain. And then there are singers who get a hangnail, walk off the stage and cancel the tour.*cough* Axl Rose *cough*
That would be Reese winans on the keyboard who incidentally plays with Joe bonamassa, (another very talented blues guitarist) now If you really want to see how great Stevie Ray Vaughan was you absolutely have to see Texas flood live at the El mocambo 🎶🎤🎸🐐🙏 RIP SRV 🙏
Saw him in the cattle barn at the Arkansas State Fair early in his career- so early he was opening for Wall of Voodoo and Bow Wow Wow 😂. His daddy and brother (Jimmy in the band Fabulous Thunderbirds) were in the audience.
Hey - Kathy here - Man on man, there is never going to be another SRV! Gone way to soon but thank God for the music he left behind. He was an amazing singer, and man could he play a guitar. I loved the look on your face when he broke his string and did the change out like he did, not missing a beat. And that is because of the great crew he has. And yes, he is famous for breaking strings, that are some of the larger ones he plays with. And Reese Wynans is still playing today. And he is one of the few who have mastered playing with all 5 fingers as fast he as can! SRV cannot be matched! Hey there is one where he does play with his teeth! LOL thanks for your reaction!
No Shit - He Popped The String! He Did That A LOT...But He Had It DOWN What To Do About IT!! He Did A LOT Of Amazing Things On Guitar & His Music Speaks FOR Itself! Look Further Into His Story - Stevie Was The Absolute BEST Of The Best!! I MISS Him!! Soul💞Soul, Stevie,💗😘
Now that you've heard Stevie, you have to listen to his heir apparent, Jeff Healey, who was taken from us far too soon just like SRV was. Blind since birth, Jeff taught himself how to play guitar and impressed Stevie so much he invited Jeff to his gig that night to play Look at Little Sister. Check out their version, then for Jeff start with either a rocking hit like Confidence Man, or his hit ballad Angel Eyes.
Stevie played with his teeth too. He broke a tooth doing it. He would also play until the pads of his finger tips would tear off and he would super glue them back on and keep playing.
Love SRV. Check out his Jimi Hendrix Covers. He was 13 when Jimi passed. He ended up with One of Jimi’s wah wah pedals. He asked Jimi’s Dad if he would mind if he did some Hendrix covers. Stevie also got all of Jimi’s music remastered for Jimi’s dad along with all the proceeds to the family.
Let”s talk about SRV’s fit……he dressed like that ALL the time. If you ran into him at 8:30 on a Sunday morning at the store, he’d be wearing something similar. He owned his look!!!!!
Those "fingers of mass destruction" belong to the legendary Reese Wynans, who still performs with Joe Bonamassa. I just saw them perform in November, and Reese can still tear the house down with those hands. Amazing talent.
Hell, yeah, AB... he had a great crew.. he just glanced over and they were there with the replacement guitar... but also, give it up for Reese Wynans on those keys... appreciate your reaction! (um, yeah, with teeth has been done... lol)
SRV was so special and we lost him way too soon. He discovered another amazing guitarist, Jeff Healey in 1985 when Healey was 19. Jeff Healey lost his eyes to cancer when he was almost one. At age three he taught himself to play the guitar in his own unique style - flat on his lap. Sadly he died of cancer in 2008 at age 41. Here are a few performances that will blow you away: Stevie Ray Vaughan & Jeff Healey - 'Look At Little Sister' th-cam.com/video/2HmLFyvFxTc/w-d-xo.html The Jeff Healey Band - Angel Eyes th-cam.com/video/kag0TsZzxpw/w-d-xo.html Jeff Healey - 'See The Light' - Night Music 1988 th-cam.com/video/gwgOUzodS6E/w-d-xo.html
Yeah he has been known to emulate Jimi Hendrix by playing with his teeth like Jimi did... But he also plays the guitar behind his back too... Soloing and strumming without being able to see... Some youtube vids of these things by SRV around..
Fingers and hands of mass entertainment -- Reese, Stevie, Tommy (bass), and Chris (drums), the whole group could burn it up!!! Plenty to brag about for his support team, too -- smooth-as-silk guitar trade-out, eh?!
Check out Life Without You, live at the Capital Theater. He talks to the crowd mid song, plays behind his back, with his teeth & even loses a tooth! Lol! Incredibly beautiful song & as always, well worth the time. ❤ Thanks for the great reaction!
True, and behind the back as well. Stevie and his brother Jimmie were big fans of Jimi. What a thing to experience if Jimi and Stevie were still with us and got a chance to jam together.
Ahhh , Stevie Ray Vaughan . The only one that can bend 13 gauge strings like they're 8 gauge strings & break them too .
As a long time musician myself and I got to see him three times before he died in that helicopter crash, but I don't just play that kind of music but yeah man right on. What a wonderful way to describe it
Stevie was and is a LEGEND...I sure miss him.
SRV ~ 🎸🐐 The goatiest goat in all of goatness
When Stevie passed away while I was in college we hung black sheets on the windows and went into mourning for a week. Such a sad loss. RIP Stwvie
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is SRV... great reaction!!!
His entire show from Austin City Limits is incredible...clean and sober and magnificent!
Fun fact: from the moment he broke the string to the moment he hit the first note on the fresh guitar, it took precisely 30 seconds - and he never missed a single beat.
SRV was a badass!
Smoothest guitar switch ever never seen anyone switch out of guitar as smooth as that he didn’t miss a beat even when playing the guitar with the broken string he didn’t miss a beat you couldn’t tell that’s how great SRV is!
Special man gone way to soon. RIP STEVIE

Stevie Ray Greatest guitar slinger of all time.

He passed at 35 in helicopter accident
Let”s talk about SRV’s fit……he dressed like that ALL the time. If you ran into him at 8:30 on a Sunday morning at the store, he’d be wearing something similar. He owned his look!!!!!
The GOAT

SRV is the best
I imagine he really did have the strings screaming. They were about to break. RIP Stevie.
Hell, yeah, AB... he had a great crew.. he just glanced over and they were there with the replacement guitar... but also, give it up for Reese Wynans on those keys... appreciate your reaction! (um, yeah, with teeth has been done... lol)

Love the channel.😊
Stevie Ray broke strings (THIRTEEN GAUGE strings by the way) so often that his roadies are like a NASCAR Pit Crew...
Yeah he has been known to emulate Jimi Hendrix by playing with his teeth like Jimi did... But he also plays the guitar behind his back too... Soloing and strumming without being able to see... Some youtube vids of these things by SRV around..

Hi AB🎼🎤👍🏼. Maybe I missed it,,, have you listened to Chris Stapleton’s “ White Horse”?
Hey buddy, lets do this one again with Jeff Healy helping him out
SRV has a few guitars.
Playing guitar with teeth, would be Jiminy
Stevie also played the guitar with his teeth.
Great song but it doesn't really show off what he's capable of. ❤
He has played with his teeth, chipped one when he did it.
