Literally watching the show with my gf and this is her first time seeing it, we were just talking about this stuff.
Cuz if attempting to murder two people's code isn't valid, for some reason, they attempted to murder Hearr'ing, enacted desctruction of property to make their scans exclusive, and both Khybon and Hearr'ing are witnesses to what happened. - Given Codemasters need *some* degree of diplomacy, they'd be able to adequately find the truth.
Season 2 alone shows this stuff has consequences
Okay seriously. Clay needs to realize that the things he does can get him kicked from Chaotic for good. Tom could just go the Codemasters and say, “Clay and Cristella tried to kill us” and they’re gone. Clay wouldn’t be able to deny it because Hear’ring is a witness.
I think the show runners wanted a reason for a 2 on 2 match.
To be fair, that card game is massive part of everyone in chaotics lives
I think the reason being, and based off of a theory, Codemasters has no control over what's going on outside of the main base, they only supervise inside Chaotic. I'm guessing the reason being is that they have to supervise the players in case they're cheating, and since there's too many players in Chaotic, it'll be difficult for them to supervise the game and supervise players in Parrim at the same time.

I'm honestly surprised Clay never got banned for all the times he scammed newbies out of their cards, gave bad advice, and now nearly killed Tom and Kaz. Assuming he and Krystella haven't done that kind of thing before to others.
Though I do love the two on two matches idea, this battle style should be explored and made official to spice up matches!
BRING CHAOTIC BACK! We must spread the word to bring back this series and the game itself! We could even make open world games of this and use our Iphones as scanners for phone app versions of the game!
it is even weirder given even the AIs from the dromes don't even like clay (and probably kristella either). if tom's match versus clay in the debut of the iron pillar is any indication.

Not even just the peril of offing other players, but they also almost KILLED Khybon and definitely H'earring. Now THAT'S a ban offense there for sure. One thing to be an unfortunate natural occurance in Perim, but a creature being killed by a player? Heck to the no.
I honestly believe one of them is related to a codemaster, that's the only way they could get away with what they do.
I'm guessing it takes a lot to be Banned from Chaotic like Killing another player or a Creature bad and it's clear that the AI and Codemasters know what happens in Perim and Chaotic
Getting almost killed in that type of situation is pretty traumatizing. What else could happen?
Kaz and Tom chose Locations That Benefit their Team While Krystella and Klay chose locations that Gave their specific creature a boost No wonder they lost
Kaz was smart to pick Iron Pillar, but even as a 6 year old watching this for the first time, I knew it wasn't gonna be that easy.
I still say that their strategy was to “hit them while they can’t see them”

Gotta love the details I’m their strategies. Tom and kaz are playing smart and aiming to maintain their advantage while disabling their opponents all while working together. Meanwhile, Cristella and clay chose locations that would only help themselves and they’re strategy relies on using the other instead of working together. Tom and kaz one with smarts instead of power.

Anyone else wonder how the creatures from Perim would react to watching the players from Chaotic battle as them? Cause I do & love imagining Chaor's & Maxxor's reaction to this battle.
That’s actually a pretty interesting idea. Can’t believe I never thought of it before. Obviously Chaor and Maxxor would be embarrassed by the breakdancing part of the battle, but I bet they might be impressed by how Tom and Katz handled the rest of it.
@@supersonicheroes I just love watching the shows fanfiction & while I don't think that would quite work for Chaotic I bet the creatures of Perim would love to see their human friends & allies battle as them in the drones, after all they know that they do it but they don't know how they do it or what it looks like
It would be pretty crazy.
I just imagined maxxor looking shocked while chaor shakes his head and leaves.
Imagine if they made a Drome in Perim so the creatures could watch matches and they watched this match to see Chaor and Maxxor giving each other a thumbs up.

If I recall when clay impersonates a code master didn't he say that is banable? I know it's just a kids show but I want to see those two get a real punishment by code Masters. Pity got cut short hope it comes back.

Did anybody else notice how, when Kaz is picking his location, it sounds like an inner monologue, but you can clearly see his mouth moving? It's the same with Tom

As much as I love Marquis Darini I always thought that this fight would have been more impactful if Cristella was using Prince Mudeenu. Mostly because we had seen the real Chaor face Vonbloot and we got to see the real Maxxor fight against Mudeenu.
Just my two cents on one of my favourite episodes of the first season.

Plus Tom is voiced by Jason Griffith (aka the voice of Sonic) and Kaz is voiced by Darren Dunstan (aka the voice of Pegasus).
Heptadd would be more interesting imo because then we would have all four of the Big 4 together at once.
@@pn2294 Well the "big 4" would be Chaor, Maxxor, Prince Mudeenu, and the Danian Queen. Leaders of all tribes. Van Bloot and Heptadd are fairly major characters, but not in a "big 4" category amongst Perim residents.
It's weird that she picked a mipedian even though she's an underworld player.
Not gonna lie, at 17:20 when Chaor (Kaz) hit the tree, the screaming that came out of it scared the crap out of me when I first saw this episode as a kid. It's like that tree is alive and felt pain from it. It's only later in the show do we realize that is indeed the case.

Cheating at a card game is one thing. Attempted murder is reprehensible! It's a wonder they weren't banned for this.
On a lighter note, the two-on-two match is really fun to watch. Love these dorks. 13:20
What’s really funny is, I had these cards when I was a kid and if I remember right the phobia mask wasn’t rare at all. They’re risking potentially any cards they have for a common card.

I remember when I first saw this episode and being really happy I had a phobia mask card
The more I watch this show the more I feel bad for the creatures of Perim. All they want to do is live their lives, deal with other tribes and build stuff to help their allies and/or just survive. And these bloody kids keep showing up, breaking in to places where they shouldn't go, stealing their important relics and magic items, constantly asking for scans or just taking them without asking, and just being a general nuisance. All for their bloody "game" which I pretty sure the creatures don't know the specifics of. Sometimes the kids can helpful like trading rare items for rare scans, like maps and stuff. But most of the time they are just annoying or an actual problem. I would just start blasting them on sight just get rid of them so I could do my thing without children constant asking for selfies.
I like the show. It's nostalgic and nice to have on in the background. Just the implications of the premise has been weighing on my mind.
The mepedians and most overworlders are pretty chill with the game, just annoyed by it, bodal straight up adked tom to use him in a battle
How did Clay even last as long as he did while getting blasted by multiple attacks at once for 3 minutes

Love how they talk shit about tom and kaz's choice of creatures as if clay doesn't always pick van blute
The fact they got THE Mark Hamill to voice Clay as Van Bloot in this two parter is amazing!
Actually mark Hamill was never in chaotic. (Most likely because 4kids who produced the company was non union and Mark Hamill is a Union actor) clay and lord von plut were voiced by Gary Mack, and David Zen Mansley respectively
Not surprising the two biggest selfish jerks don't work well as a team, meanwhile Kaz and Tom make a great team.
I just find it so wrong that the Codemasters never made an attempt to ban Krystella and Clay after this incident. Fine if they wanna let any and all player interactions go unpunished, but really? You won't ban them for nearly killing H'earring and possibly Khybon too? That's unacceptable quite frankly.
Especially considering the end of Season 1 with the beginning of Season 2 being such a big deal
9:36 there must've been a disconnect between the animation team and the sound designers. Tom is obviously thinking at that moment but his mouth is actually moving. Or maybe he's chewing some gum at that moment.

honestly I do like how they decide their own strategies when they are in their 2v2. crystella and clay set themselves up so that they individually are able to benefit from their location however tom and kaz picked their locations to benefit the both of them, with iron pillar the phobia mask is useless and in runic grove they are still able to utilize their mugic however because crystella and clay are greedy they picked tribal mugic.

Makes sense how they would easily turn on each other not just because of the mask it's because KoR and Maxor are enemies and they're supposed to be friends but two of their favorite creatures are enemies that's when they start fighting and because the phobia mask 🤔🤔😑

One thing I like is both Kaz and Tom chose locations to benefit the both of them, but Krystella and Clay only picked locations that benefited only one of them. Granted I can’t think of too many locations that would’ve benefited them both as well.

If we went by the stats in the card game Marquis Darini would have been code after the ambush attack and the Rockwave from Maxxor his energy stat ranges between 30-40 and rock wave deals extra damage if the creature can already do earth attacks so realistically Klay would have been stuck in a 2 against one match up

I remember being blown away by the Phobia Mask, and was super excited when i got it in my starter deck. Unfortunately, in the irl game it just lowers the opponent's Courage and Power by 10 (not a lot lol). Still looks and sounds cool tho

Yeah, cool gear is awesome but scan first then admire. And for the second question, it's likely that chaotic is connected to the real world. It's likely that any new scan of anything is likely uploaded and then printed out in the real world. Least that's how I think it is.

Episodes like this really make me wonder how Tom is the main character bro. He doesn't play on that field and only picked it for no other reason than to inconvenience those two. He literally relies only on Maxor and is willing to quite the moment he loses Maxxor despite the fact that he had 3 episodes telling him he didn't need Maxxor. Great MC bro.
