Nah that's very far fetched they would have discussed it together, based off Effies mom coming I believe Effies plug was the Italians, I think in the future we're learn what we need too about Effies back story. They don't bring in one if the biggest stars of the Soprsnos for a small scene as Effies mom. Maybe her mom got disowned by the family for having a baby with a black man buy Effie had like an uncle or something that took to her and that became her plug. Effies plug is someone we haven't met, or maybe he was in OG power and when she said her plug stop answering is because he died when Tommy took out all of Vincent's Italian crew on his way to save Ghost

I still think that Zigg was Effie connect in the OG Power. Effie could go to Chicago with Tariq and help Tommy hack into Miguel database to find Mireya.
This was actually a missed opportunity in this spin off. Effie has been the biggest enigma in the entire Power universe. Who is she really? Ever since season 5 of OG Power, we have basically spent 5,5 seasons building up a BIG reveal about her origins. One that could change everything. My speculations varied from her being Kanans long lost daughter to possibly a relative of Felipe Lobos. Both of these theories held a lot of weight and both would also give her a credible motif to avenge her dead father/uncle. A third speculation didn't have her being the relative of anybody per se, but actually sent their personally by Ghost himself to keep an eye on Tariq. Only for her to be revealed as the daughter of some random alcoholic. This whole spin off panned out like the Star Wars sequel trilogy - a convoluted mess with so many unfinished storylines and incohesive plot. Whoever plans the next spin off they should learn from this and and realise that cohesive storytelling is a must.
