Ahsoka was a solid entry into the Star Wars timeline, even if it possibly relied the most so far on knowledge of other entries (Rebels, Clone Wars, the books, etc.).
Yeah, I had worried a little about that, but my wife, who has never seen any of that, followed it pretty easily. Only asked a couple questions. I'm really happy those of us who do follow everything are being given some super connected live action stuff.
Sabine went through what is called an awakening. Like what happened to Rey in episode VII. Unlike a long learning experience, it happens all at once. They have been explicitly building the second season since episode 5. They put Ahsoka in contact with Anakin again and especially in Jacen's interaction with Huyang. When Jacen asks if Huyang will teach him and he says no. They saved this role for Ezra, who will return the training that Kanan Jarrus gave him.
Been for waiting for this one from MAC. Filoni just gave interview discussing Ahsoka and Baylan's actor Ray. He hints that whatever happens moving forward, Ray's legacy is imprinted in this show. Meaning that even if his character gets replaced by another actor, our memory of Ray remains in this show. True. Fans of the shows love Ray's portrayal of a character whom Ray described as not a bad guy. He was insistent to the contrary despite Dave reminding Ray that Baylan is a villain. Love their dynamic as revealed by the interview.
I for one have been rooting for Sabine to wield the power of the force and I believe it was facing death and knowing that she should trust in the force where she felt it light inside her allowing Sabine to force pull the light saber and because she was able to do it, she knew that she had the confidence to force push Ezra to help his jump. Congrats on the baby!
Interesting note the fight between Ahsoka and Morgan in the mandalorian was took them several hours to shoot, this fight between then took them about 2 days! That's why that fight looks so cool
Something to consider regarding the Mortis gods, during the Mortis arc, the daughter gave the last of her life/power to being Ahsoka back to life. This is also the point in which morai began to follow Ahsoka. And we learn in rebels that the owl is either a servant of the daughter or is there daughter herself in spirit guise. So perhaps the reason the statue of the daughter is broken is because there person it represented is no longer the daughter as she now resides in Ahsoka. That or it was stuck by lighting at some point and it destroyed her statue but not the others. I have also heard that in the lore probably legends but possibly in current canon that the nightsisters worshipped the daughter and the son. Or more specifically the owl and the bat (which if you'll remember is the forms they took when they captured Ahsoka and Kenobi to to to force Anakin to choose). So it was almost certainly the dathomiri who built the statue. Likely before they ever left peridea soccer the nightsisters continued to worship the sin and daughter but not the father
The actress that plays morgan, is the daughter of Dan inosanto.. known for being a martial arts instructor. Some of his students were Bruce Lee (taught him to use the staff and nunchucks), Brandon Lee and a whole lot more. Including his daughter. There is no doubt in my mind that she did the sword fighting scenes... I could be wrong... I do know that it was her request to the writers to be killed by her own weapon.... A true warrior's death.
It will be tough to recast Baylan but they have to do it. The entire reason/story for Ahsoka and Sabine getting stuck on Peridea and the connection with the Mortis gods depends on it. I'm looking forward to seeing how Filoni and Favreau tie in Season 4 of Mandolorian with the Thrawn story. It was a great idea to include Carson Teva in this series as he now connects the two series. It would be so cool to see Hera, Ezra and Chopper meet Mando and possibly reunite with Zeb.
Bro you are one lucky man! How do I find a better half that loves films and shit as much as I do. Take care of yo lady. Your reactions are truly good 💕💕
I believe that Shin seeks power. Remember in episode 2 when she asked baylin what they would get when they found thrawn and his answer was power. And again in episode 6 she wanted power, bit she wanted the immediate kind that thrawn could offer rather than the more obscure power that baylin was looking for. She wants to rule and feel powerful. That's why when thrawn left her she went and found those raiders who she could essentially rule. Better to be a big fish in a small pond than a small fish in a big lake. Give with the marauders gives her what she had wanted all this time. It sounds to me like she grew up powerless and poor until baylan came and took her as his apprentice. So now she craves power. Hopefully we'll get to explore their story in sometime like a tales of the Jedi or something
So glad you guys are back!! I just want to make sure you are aware of GEN V, a new spinoff of The Boys which is out now. I'm sure you are busy now, but you will definitely want to watch it before season 4 of The Boys comes out. There will provably be at least a few characters from GEN V who will be in The Boys
To be fair she’s kind weak still…. A force push is basic ability…. She needed both hands (which were shaking) and she came up short…. Kind of like it took all she had to just barely make it
I like to think Sabine learning to use The Force was not just about a mental block (but that's a big part of it), but also about just finding that right entry-point where she can now access The Force for herself that very first time?? I don't know, but maybe it's like once you see a red dot on a dress you never knew was there before, all you can see from now after that is that red dot. So, maybe once she accessed The Force that first time, then she knew how to always go back to that same "point" to access more?? Once Clark Kent first learned how to use his heat vision that first time in Smallville or hone in on his mother's voice in Man of Steel, he could do it all the time after that. I also like to think a lot of Baylon Skoll's scenes may have been cut so they can be used for season 2?? If true, maybe that means after that 1st episode of season 2, Baylon changes forms, either after meeting the Aboleth or even he becomes the Aboleth?? If so, maybe that is how they can explain away his recasting?? Just pure speculation, of course. I think Shin is quickly realizing she was an afterthought, maybe even for Baylon too, and she was just being used this whole time and left on that planet to rot and so, she just needs to be a survivor, in any way she can.
I think Ezra had a lot to do with Sabine getting past the blocks and trusting in the Force. She was able to grab the lightsaber out of pure desperation not just for her but Ezra's as well. He wasn't looking too good vs the zombie trooper at the moment. After that it was boosted confidence multiplied by the faith Ezra had in her abilities!!!
Just like the Korean War movie "Fixed Bayonets" where the small rear guard was left to be like a full unit to cover the orderly retreat of the American army.
The theory I've been kicking around in my head - Ahsoka is connected to the sister, Baylon is connected to the father, and Shin is connected to the son (it's the positions rather than gender that matters). It ended with such a feeling of more to come, so I hope there is a way to continue that plot point - but I'd totally understand if they don't.

Your insights were wonderful! Your perspective on Sabine & her mental blocks!
Interesting note the fight between Ahsoka and Morgan in the mandalorian was took them several hours to shoot, this fight between then took them about 2 days! That's why that fight looks so cool
Big ups to Diana Lee Inosanto for her performance as Morgan Ellsbeth. She absolutely bodied it

so good, the ending was so good to haha seeing anakin as a force ghost watching over her (them)
You guys were spot on I think with Sabines abilities
Those 2 death troopers are the ones erza shot on the bridge when erza confronted thrawn in rebels finale
Bro you are one lucky man! How do I find a better half that loves films and shit as much as I do. Take care of yo lady. Your reactions are truly good 💕💕
Listen again when they were storming the doors and Ahsoka asked Sabine to help. Listen to the background sound when Sabine put up her hand to help.

Congratulations again on your new baby! Happy thanksgiving! for sure there's gonna be a Season 2....EPIC FINALE!
Glad you guys are back. I have 3 kids and making time for other things is tough lol. I loved this series.
I really think that the cargo is more witches.
IMO, Sabine is so strong in the Force so quickly because of the planet they're on. I believe it's a home of the Mortis gods
To be fair she’s kind weak still…. A force push is basic ability…. She needed both hands (which were shaking) and she came up short…. Kind of like it took all she had to just barely make it

That ending with Baylan 😮💨 mother is comiiiiiiiiingggggg
Good bye, Ray. You are missed
Just like the Korean War movie "Fixed Bayonets" where the small rear guard was left to be like a full unit to cover the orderly retreat of the American army.
I know that I welcomed You Both back already..... but damn did I miss You!!"🤗🤗💜💜
He is sneaking the mom that's why he was looking at top of the mountain
They pulled a Narnia for the episode title.

Could you guys do reactions to Always Sunny?
