Yes, sad and true. Yet one can't deny they were strange and their behavior peculiar. Deciding which one would die and then the girl actually died as soon as they were released. Not to mention they were isolated from one another when this decision was made. That's very eery.

I'm a twin. We definitely communicate without speaking. Doesn't make us weird but outsiders think it's weird because they don't understand. We went through everything together so I can instantly tell when my twin is not okay or her mood has changed. We even have phantom pains (one being hurt in real life and the other feeling it for no reason at all).

i have 5 year old twin boys and they definitely have ways of communicating without speaking (and they are not even identical!). when they were babies (maybe 3 months old), unbeknownst to my husband and i, one of our boys was choking on his own vomit in his sleep and had turned blue, and we likely would have never checked on him if his twin brother wasn't screaming his lungs out. it was really peculiar bc the twin who was screaming was our super quiet baby who rarely made a peep... hardly ever cried even when he was dirty or hungry, so it shot us out of our seats when we heard him scream, then we found his brother and he stopped crying. it was so bizarre but taught us the value of their bond. even now, every once and again one boy will tell me the other is sad or hurt even if they are not around. i think twins and other multiples have a very special supernatural bond, whether identical or fraternal, that the rest of us just can't comprehend... and that bond should be respected.

It’s important when there are a set of twins, that each twin has their own individual identity. It can be extremely unhealthy to leave a set of twins by themselves to spend a lot of time together as it can affect them mentally or even emotionally since they are attached to one another. I’m a twin myself. Growing up, I remembered being emotionally attached to my twin. The teachers noticed we would not talk to the other kids or play with them. We would only play with one another. This brought us great comfort. The teachers encouraged my mom to separate us into individual classrooms. Of course we were in hysterics. A day passed, eventually my twin sister adjusted to her new classroom and environment surrounding while I still yearned to be with her. I could see straight through her classroom. Quietly writing in her desk. Calm and collected. I didn’t understand in my 6 year old mind why she was okay while I felt a sense of deep sadness from being apart. As the second day wore on, I became distracted with classroom activities. By the third day, Something inside me awoke where I began to take notice of my ability to be social on my own and ability to learn on my own. Looking back, it was the best thing that the teachers did for my sister and I. I don’t remember much of my toddler years but I think my mom left us alone to be with one another for long periods of time instead of taking us to a daycare or park to interact with the other children. So watching this definitely hit home.

When me and my twin sister were little and got split up from each other at school it was like torture. We couldn’t eat, sleep or even go to the toilet without each other. We made a pact when we were little that if one of us died the other would k*** themselves, because of the abuse we grew up with, we didn’t want the other to suffer alone. It’s twisted but we only had each other. I feel like some certain set twins can have a massive breakdown if they are ever split up, it’s not just a friendship, my soul and my sisters feel like they’re one sometimes.

This should have been a limited series rather than a movie. You can’t do justice to this story in 2hrs. Also, this book was scarier than many horror books that I have read. Not because of any apparition but because of the capability of human mind to do something like this.

I’ve heard their story a few times in true crime videos or podcasts because as teenagers the girls committed some petty crimes like setting fire to a store which was shown in the trailer. And in those stories they mentioned that it was thought that Jennifer was controlling June into being silent and that she didn’t want to be. I didn’t read the book or watch this movie so I don’t know if it was ever mentioned there. I also don’t want to spoil anything but what happened to Jennifer doesn’t make any medical sense. That part really baffles me.
