I think the discraft glide is better than paradox does the same thing throws like a forehand when thrown backhand. Both great disc's but if you are used to throwing a buzz, you will be able to bomb a glide really far
I say this out of love, and also as someone whose main backhand flaw is nose up...but your discs would fly so much truer to numbers, further and with better angles if you get closer to nose down. Lovingly, the internet. A series with the guys from Overthrow with one of those new disc chips would be VERY fun to watch

@@lukemara5731 but they’re not. Bullet is deeper, and I don’t like that one. Love is slightly stiffer than Praxis with a slightly different bevel. Praxis flies a bit more understable than the Love. They aren’t all the same.
I have some Graces and it's a great disc but I wouldn't recommend them for beginners, you're likely to throw it 180 feet and dump it hard til you learn how to actually whip a driver with some power. If you have low arm speed go for a Sapphire instead, they're lighter and have some turn which helps a lot when your form and power sucks early on. When you start turning the Sapphire over a lot and it stops working how you want it to that's when you know you've developed more power. For me the Lat 64 Glory changed my entire game. It's such a reliable forehand workhorse. It's the first disc I ever felt fully confident I can always shape what I need to out of it and Royal plastic is incredible so it stays overstable for a long time.
This, so much this. It seems like everyone is raving about how good of a beginner driver the Grace is, while I get 0 turn from my Orbit Grace on 400' pulls. I do have to say that the Grand plastic seems to beat it pretty fast, but there are tons of easier to throw drivers out there.

Brooooo, I only bag 4 discs, and the Lift is one of them! Get it in Neutron plastic and it becomes and absolute bomber, and fantastic for wooded courses.
Have a James Proctor Cookie but not thrown it much because its more stable than my Barsby Champ Glow Eagle. But i might give it a try again because the comfort is on another level.
The Tour Series Sunny Cookie is more overstable than the stock Steady Cookie. The Steady Cookie is much straighter and is more like the familiar Teebird-like flight but with a more comfortable rim.
Praxis in ethereal is my putting putter. I will also occasionally use it for approaches but my primary approach disc is the Slammer. Or the Pig if it's a hill or something and I need the disc to stick. I don't use the Praxis on long puts though because I find that it can really get some air and fly right over my basket. I use the Ohm on long putts.
I'm mainly a Caddy, slightly new to Disc Golf, and you've already taught me some cool stuff! I just got a Paradox so I'm excited to try that out since I'm a lower arm speed. I really want to try an Inner Core because that looks like so much as well. I definitely want to pick up a Jackalope now from seeing all the talk about it. You've gained a new sub and I SWEAR it's not because I would love a bag full of discs, but i would also love a bag for caddying 😂😂😂
Grace max distance for a beginner? don’t think so. It’s my main distance driver and it pushes 430ft for me right now, but every beginner that I’ve let try the Grace can’t throw them very far. 11 speed is definitely not a speed most beginners can hit. Definitely one of the best molds ever made though. Consistent runs, very reliable.
Yup. I started out with a Grace and just dumped it all the time til I learned how to throw. I disc'd down to a Sapphire early on which come a lot lighter and have a lot more turn to help with low arm speed as a beginner. I'd bet most beginners could throw a Buzzz further than they could throw a Grace. It's a fantastic disc but it definitely requires a decent amount of power.
I love my graces and have an orbit and a royal grand. The video mentions them having lots of plastics, but was that sarcastic? I've only seen them in grand and orbit.

Good list! From these I bag a beaten in Grace for the most US distance driver, Cookie for the main stable fairway slot and Paradox for those situations where you want to throw backhand flight with a forehand or vice versa 👌🏻
Been playing for about 3 months now. I really want to try a Grace out. I have a paradox and LOVE it. One of the discs that was given to me by a friend. It is wonderful. Great for those backhand right fade shots.
I gave my wife a lighter weight Crave in Fission plastic recently and it is now her favorite disc, hands-down. She throws farther with it than anything else she's ever tried. I'm getting her hooked on the Hex now as well. 😉
@@PMantle yeah, I'd love to hear your thoughts vs the Jackalope, I think the Stag is pretty special in terms of Glide, Distance and still a reliable flight. Slight downhill it wants to just go straight forever but I've always been interested in the Jackalope, especially if it's flatter cause it would be useful for forehand. Stag is a little to domey for me for forehand but love the feel backhand

Awesome list! Glad to see the buzzz ss get some shine. It's been my favorite midrange since I started playing a few years ago and really taught me how to throw pushing hyzers, hyzer flips, and turnovers. Also really like the buzzz ss for forehands when I have an awkward lie or footing is the best. Has amazing glide!
I have a Streamline Lift in my glow bag because I couldn't find a glow Axiom Insanity (which is my favorite disc - at least my max weight fission ones anyhow). Insanity has the same numbers and is obviously by the same company and they fly the same for me. Also, BuzzzSS has a permanent spot in my bag. Oddly enough, I hate the Buzzz, though.
Wondered if Clash straight up jacked that rounded edge on the Cookie from the ORIGINAL disc with a rounded edge.. The Løft discs "Bohrium" ... Dont know if the have any Trade Mark on it or so but maybe someone should look in to this ... just saying

Like the Bohrium from Loft? it's a bummer there really wasn't a good view of it in the video. I love the feel of the bohrium and really need to check out the cookie if it's similar!
Yes it is similar but in my opinion even better than the bohrium! The bohrium is extremely low profil and the rounded rim makes it difficult to grip. The cookie is deeper, but still with the rounded inner edge.
Yes they are! The course behind they shot this at is Little Mulberry Park in Dacula. A lot of those videos are from courses around the northeast Atl area. Love these guys and love that they get to showcase some great ATL courses!
I would have put the caiman on here as an over stable mid that doesn't have that blunt hand feel that so many others in this slot have. Also sub out the jackalope for a doomsday blackout. Also I feel the westside sword is one of the most neutral distance drivers on the market and when I lost mine first round last tournament, I couldn't find a good replacement for it in the shop between rounds.
I would NEVER recommend anything over the Zone in its slot! Such a reliable disc for literally decades, and it comes in so many plastics and can be had for cheap. The only MUST TRY Kastaplast disc is the Berg and you all know it hence the troll.
What do you mean Grace comes in a ton of different plastics? It literally only comes in one. Orbit is just Grand plastic with a different color plastic around the rim. Also it's definitely not gonna get a ton of flip up for a beginner. Probably not even for your average 350 ft thrower.

Praxis is an absolutely fabulous throwing putter! If you want a similar feeling disc to the Praxis for putting, try the Prodiscus Basic Origo.

Gateway Apex is a beat in BOMBER grace. Lost my 2 year beat in grace and this took its spot and did even better.

I bag a Zone FLX ESP and a Jarn K3 Line and feel they are different enough to warrant them both. Great list and more ideas of discs to consider!

I've really come to love the Paradox. You can do some crazy things with it, and it offers options that nothing else in my bag does.
Discraft glide is a very similar disc in how it Flys also. If you like the paradox give this a try also.

Just pick up a paradox, quickly became one of my favorite discs, I can’t side arm, makes it so much easier to back hand such throws

Järn has become my fav, I’ve thrown in from over 150 feet twice with it.
It is all subjective, but the Crave should be #1 imo. It has every plastic type for any level of player.

Pure, Berg, Zone, Roc, Emac Truth, Leopard3, Firebird, Wraith for me. Only 8 but it covers every shot for me.

IMO the rounded rim doesn’t quite work for a disc as fast and low profile as the bohrium. I find it uncomfortable🤷♂️
