Whoa....I read the comments ahead but didn't expect THAT to be the gift. Those are 1991 impel trading cards. They were my introduction to x men, and my brother and I's first bonding experience. Those cards comprised an entire summer for me and my brother when we were kids. We collected cans, did chores, pulled apart the couch to get $1 at a time to collect THOSE EXACT cards. This summer, 30+ years later, I bought a sealed box of them and surprised my brother when he was over with them. We ripped every pack together and it was amazing nostalgia. Very cool treat for me to see someone else appreciating them in this era, and what a coincidence. Enjoy Alex! You're holding a slice of my childhood.
Just to make folks aware, the Galactus variant that Cozy showed off is actually incorrectly attributed in game to artist Ron Garney when it's actually by artist Ron Lim! This has been mentioned to the devs but it has yet to be changed in game.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the developers at Second Dinner named that set as an inspiration for Snap, and it’s why I love that I also have a semi complete set of those cards. I’ve even made decks based on Jim Lee X-Men cards I own. What a treat! Love you guys ❤🎉

I don’t understand how anyone could think Madame Web would just be a 3 star. You can use old Lockjaw with her. Put her in a lane. Lockjaw and then you can just feed your tokens and move them. That’s why old Thanos was so broken with the stone.
It's crazy to me that they made it an ongoing card. I can see how it's also a downside because of techs like rogue and enchantress, but giving her synergy with mystique is bonkers
Dagger wont survive the next OTA. One week of busted move with Web and Hercules playing Tennis and then Dagger, vulture and Torch get nerfed to death (no fun allowed, keep playing clog and Arishem forever). After that people will start cooking with madame web in other ways, jean grey web, lockdown web, sandman web etc.
I don't see Torch getting nerfed.. it is a super wild card to be pumping up only to get it skillmongered. Dagger on the other hand.m I can totally see it getting a nerf on how much power it gets per card on a location
I'm thinking the same thing. Dagger down to +1 for enemy card, vulture either 4 cost or minus power. Hercules might get a higher cost. Things going to get crazy with maddam web.
I'm a move main, list is pretty good except: Kraven will be A tier at least - will be extremely reliable Dr Strange will be S tier - will be vital to bringing back whatever card you moved away from madame web, back to her lane within the same turn Miles will be C tier - good in certain decks but a waste of a slot in pure move
If you mystique it though and move it to say the mystique lane will you be able to move it away from there again before the turn starts or will it just not recognize it as there yet until the turn starts?

@@tenedor_sin_puntas what i suggest is first move the card from Madame lane to mystique lane and then mystique lane to Madame lane . Then repeat this . Also Hercules is also a good one 😄

Moving sage off of wong, moving cards off of your angela/elsa lane, moving vulture/dagger/human torch into a Hercules lane, lane fixing in an ongoing spectrum deck. The agency this card offers is a boon for move decks but it has so much plug and play utility plus the ongoing key word, low cost. Its fire.
Glen should be thanking you Alex. Marvel Snap can really annoy me but even if I’m playing less I want to listen to you and Cozy. So you bring me back to the game. Keep doing you boys.
Madame Web for my symbiote deck. Biggest flaw currently is that opponent keeps on sending junk to my symbiote lane ruining my setup (mainly acid arrow, with how popular that is right now in the meta). So this helps protect against that. In addition it makes setting up shuri easier without involving iron fist or nico, to have your doubled card in its own lane to use with symbiote or zola.
In Alex's defense Web has a lot of counters. Rogue, Enchantress, Red Guardian. All cards that are actually pretty popular but at the same time Web plus Hercules will be insane.
always love the content, thanks guys! random thought: if you know you're going to be talking about a particular set/group of cards, you should just throw them together into a deck so that you have them more easily grouped for the show. you're pretty damn good at finding the cards, but it might smooth out the process

I have an idea for assessing the potential for to-be-released cards. What everyone does is obviously create scenarios with play patterns and then compare the new card to conventional scenarios. An example for that would be before Sage released and she was compared heavily to Wolfsbane's playstyle. I think it would be good if you just quickly calculated the power per energy. That would also help with comparing a new 6-drop release to a new 1-drop release. If you want to know which of the two is worth more of your tokens/caches, simply calculate the power per energy for different hypothetical (and realistic) scenarios and you have a better assessment. Just my idea for future card releases and talks on the Snapchat. Keep it up!
MORE thoughts as I watch, sorry haha. I have trouble with Phoenix Force... I have to get everything in hand, and then Carnage the Human Torch to get Phoenix Force on turn 4 and it feels like too much work for something that doesn't always work in my experience 😅

The thing cozy was thinking of to put those cards into is called a shadow box usually used for keepsakes but I still would get hard sleeves for the card to prevent damage I'd they don't already have then on

Quick note: for anyone that doesn’t know, the location Kyln is pronounced like the thing you bake your pottery in, “kiln”. I think it’s just that it’s a space prison so Marvel spelled it weird.
Cloak is an S-Tier. Don't forget that you need stuff to bring stuff back to Madame web so she can move it again or a card to enable your deck without drawing Madame Web.
LOL at Cloak in C tier. A tip for the new move players, set up your board space with kraven in one lane and turn 5 cloak in another lane is god tier. Anything you move and they move adds to kraven and there it’s mind games for your opponent.
People forget that Hercules triggers for any card moving into his lane even the opponent cards. He can be a double edged sword and it's only once per turn.
I think this has a lot more potential in Destroy than given especially with the Attuma change. Wolverine, X-23, Nimrod, Shuri, tossing in other cards like Torch or Multiple Man. Add in Arana and this will be Loki release level insanity.
This Jim Lee cards story made my day. Also how would you feel about Miles being free if you moved a card the turn before? I feel like that would change a lot for him.
I feel it might end up like KingPin where you telegraph so early that this is the lane you are dumping into that it instantly gets rogued, enchantresses, clogged etc etc.
I've recently been playing a lot of classic Heimdall move, because of the bounties. It's actually a pretty powerful deck once I got the hang of it. It really might be an o.p. archetype by the end of this season. I expect some older move cards to get nerfed . Seriously the tide is going to turn like it did with hela discard.

Without these I would’ve been lost in snap when I started but you guys have pushed me into infinite and top play every month… a little financial debt due to variant purchasing but it’s okay still happy 🤣🤣🤣

Marvel Boy feels super useful and can be used in multiple decks and gives a ton of power, but I'm struggling with Madame Web and not sure how she'd be good since she takes an extra turn and board space and only feels good in move and not anywhere else I can think of, but Marvel Boy just does his job easily and you don't have to think of anything complicated for that.
I think using madame web outside of move comes down to mind games with your opponent. You can stack her lane up with a big threat and your opponent has to respect that and fight back in that late. And if they do, you can then move those resources elsewhere still. There’s also the argument for Angela or hope using this too. Allowing you to continue stacking that lane to get those bonuses whilst also moving out cards to avoid clogging it up. Elsa also is useful with this, allowing you to get that bonus every turn. Not quite sure if it’ll be great in an Angela kitty deck, but it’s definitely worth considering still
Did you actually watch the discussion? They list plenty of ways to use her outside of move. Also unless you run caeira, all it takes is one kill monger and marvel boy is a useless turn 3 play
i think madame web is gonna be the start of tribunal move decks. it's the main way that I play move these days because you can usually get 1 massive power card but it can be difficult to find ways to close out other locations, so ive added tribunal and it now my 50+ power dagger wins all 3 locations.
Dont sleep on cloak. He is the best move enabler pre-madam web. Cloak letting you bring three or *four cards (*if you bounce him with beast when you.play.both on turn 5) to the right location before playing heimdall turn 6! Its the best turn 5-6 combo in the present deck.
Dagger + MadameWeb might be good enough 2 card combo to run in ANY deck. Also the ability of removing your Wong from Cosmo, or avoiding Alioth might be very interesting. Also, the Beast IronFist Dagger MadameWeb gonna be kinda insane. Hopesummers is also kinda too strong combo.
27:00 because you can only do it to one of those cards, thats if you got a good draw, the other two locations are powerless and even the big one is countered by so many common cards... thats unfortunatelly why move will never be a S-tier deck

I think over the next week Kraven will be good if your opponent is also playing move, which is very possible. I think if you kept your list for next week's Arana, it would be interesting to see where you put her and other cards change their ranking.
Also, Not putting Heimdall as an S tier in a move deck is *Criminal* The power that a Heimdall play on turn 6 can be literally among the highest in the game. (I think the crazy things like Onslaught on top of iron man will do more, but you know what I mean) If you have any few of the power gainers - Torch, Dagger, Vulture, Kraven they can all gain power. Potentially 10+ from Torch, +6 from Vulture, +(up to)12 from Dagger, +2-6 for Kraven. That's a super easy 20+ in move-generated power, plus 9 from Heimdall, plus perhaps spider2099 killing something for negative power on the other side. That's lots of cases with 29+ power, and top-end plays at 50+. Almost no other turn 6 play can just outpower this unless they're doing some cheeky stuff to counter you. Heimdall is literally as good as old blob, but more spread out (though he does require setup). Heimdall will not win every game, but the games he wins he's an absolute BEAST! A season or two ago, my 'most winning when played' card was Heimdall at over 80% winrate.
I have Grandmaster in my Move/Bounce deck just to reactivate Bounce. Easy for a Falcon Bounce, tricky but satisfying for Beast. Lost some of its luster after Beast nerf. Sometimes Strange works great too. But Iron Fist and Ghost Spider don’t work at all lol They move Grandmaster himself.
Cozy and Alex put so much work into their videos it puts those other channels to shame that beg for subs and they do nothing more than turn on a camera.
If you have Human Torch out on 1, you can Madam Webb, move him turn while dropping Vulture, then move Vulture + Strange + Cloak. That's only 5 cards in your deck. The fact that they are cheap is in their favor.
Idea for buffing Aero! Grandmaster moves a card at his location to the middle and activates again, Symbiote Spiderman keeps a card at his location and activates again. Aero: Move your last played card to this location, activate it's On Reveal again.

I can't imagine what that meant to him but I also can't imagine just how big of an impact Alex probably also had on their life for them to gift Alex this memento. edit: Ok so it'll be a meme and I suggest no one try it but I wonder how good she would be as a target for Phoenix Force. You lose out on moving a card on those initial turns but for turn 5 and 6 you'll have a card that you can move that allows you to then move a card in that lane. I haven't thought of anything yet but I could potentially see something cook with that.
When the meta isn't anti move, it's my fav deck. Some seasons.its hard tho. I run Caiera and kill monger in my deck as anti-destroy and anti-zoo. So fun 🎉

A good option also is you can sera onslaught. Get the bonus cost reduction, and then move onslaught to a lane to utilize ongoing

LOL at Cloak in C tier. A tip for the new move players, set up your board space with kraven in one lane and turn 5 cloak in another lane is god tier. Anything you move and they move adds to kraven and there it’s mind games for your opponent.

People forget that Hercules triggers for any card moving into his lane even the opponent cards. He can be a double edged sword and it's only once per turn.
I think this has a lot more potential in Destroy than given especially with the Attuma change. Wolverine, X-23, Nimrod, Shuri, tossing in other cards like Torch or Multiple Man. Add in Arana and this will be Loki release level insanity.
This Jim Lee cards story made my day. Also how would you feel about Miles being free if you moved a card the turn before? I feel like that would change a lot for him.
I feel it might end up like KingPin where you telegraph so early that this is the lane you are dumping into that it instantly gets rogued, enchantresses, clogged etc etc.
I've recently been playing a lot of classic Heimdall move, because of the bounties. It's actually a pretty powerful deck once I got the hang of it. It really might be an o.p. archetype by the end of this season. I expect some older move cards to get nerfed . Seriously the tide is going to turn like it did with hela discard.

Marvel Boy feels super useful and can be used in multiple decks and gives a ton of power, but I'm struggling with Madame Web and not sure how she'd be good since she takes an extra turn and board space and only feels good in move and not anywhere else I can think of, but Marvel Boy just does his job easily and you don't have to think of anything complicated for that.
multipleman+hulkbuster+symbiote+madamweb on the same lane you can put a vulture and wan to push symbiote twice.
I think using madame web outside of move comes down to mind games with your opponent. You can stack her lane up with a big threat and your opponent has to respect that and fight back in that late. And if they do, you can then move those resources elsewhere still.
There’s also the argument for Angela or hope using this too. Allowing you to continue stacking that lane to get those bonuses whilst also moving out cards to avoid clogging it up. Elsa also is useful with this, allowing you to get that bonus every turn.
Not quite sure if it’ll be great in an Angela kitty deck, but it’s definitely worth considering still
Did you actually watch the discussion? They list plenty of ways to use her outside of move. Also unless you run caeira, all it takes is one kill monger and marvel boy is a useless turn 3 play

i think madame web is gonna be the start of tribunal move decks. it's the main way that I play move these days because you can usually get 1 massive power card but it can be difficult to find ways to close out other locations, so ive added tribunal and it now my 50+ power dagger wins all 3 locations.
Dont sleep on cloak. He is the best move enabler pre-madam web. Cloak letting you bring three or *four cards (*if you bounce him with beast when you.play.both on turn 5) to the right location before playing heimdall turn 6! Its the best turn 5-6 combo in the present deck.
Kraven hard underrated here. He is like a stationary version of the dagger/torch/vulture package.
Dagger + MadameWeb might be good enough 2 card combo to run in ANY deck. Also the ability of removing your Wong from Cosmo, or avoiding Alioth might be very interesting.
Also, the Beast IronFist Dagger MadameWeb gonna be kinda insane. Hopesummers is also kinda too strong combo.

I think over the next week Kraven will be good if your opponent is also playing move, which is very possible. I think if you kept your list for next week's Arana, it would be interesting to see where you put her and other cards change their ranking.
Also, Not putting Heimdall as an S tier in a move deck is *Criminal*
The power that a Heimdall play on turn 6 can be literally among the highest in the game. (I think the crazy things like Onslaught on top of iron man will do more, but you know what I mean)
If you have any few of the power gainers - Torch, Dagger, Vulture, Kraven they can all gain power. Potentially 10+ from Torch, +6 from Vulture, +(up to)12 from Dagger, +2-6 for Kraven. That's a super easy 20+ in move-generated power, plus 9 from Heimdall, plus perhaps spider2099 killing something for negative power on the other side. That's lots of cases with 29+ power, and top-end plays at 50+. Almost no other turn 6 play can just outpower this unless they're doing some cheeky stuff to counter you. Heimdall is literally as good as old blob, but more spread out (though he does require setup).
Heimdall will not win every game, but the games he wins he's an absolute BEAST!
A season or two ago, my 'most winning when played' card was Heimdall at over 80% winrate.
I have Grandmaster in my Move/Bounce deck just to reactivate Bounce. Easy for a Falcon Bounce, tricky but satisfying for Beast. Lost some of its luster after Beast nerf.
Sometimes Strange works great too.
But Iron Fist and Ghost Spider don’t work at all lol They move Grandmaster himself.
The first week or two will be hard for madam web players but let's be honest she is a must pull for future cards.
Cozy and Alex put so much work into their videos it puts those other channels to shame that beg for subs and they do nothing more than turn on a camera.

If you have Human Torch out on 1, you can Madam Webb, move him turn while dropping Vulture, then move Vulture + Strange + Cloak. That's only 5 cards in your deck. The fact that they are cheap is in their favor.
Move types are so much fun to play but there should be more cards that move enemy cards
Idea for buffing Aero! Grandmaster moves a card at his location to the middle and activates again, Symbiote Spiderman keeps a card at his location and activates again. Aero: Move your last played card to this location, activate it's On Reveal again.

edit: Ok so it'll be a meme and I suggest no one try it but I wonder how good she would be as a target for Phoenix Force. You lose out on moving a card on those initial turns but for turn 5 and 6 you'll have a card that you can move that allows you to then move a card in that lane. I haven't thought of anything yet but I could potentially see something cook with that.
