Hello! I'm Lola, a 6 yesars old Golden retriever!! Today I groomed. But, Golden Retriever can be groomed??
For the Golden Retriever, it is advisable to do the 'Deshedding' type of trimming, which
is the process of removing hair from your pet's undercoat which may not be effectively removed with you're the of brushing or combing, as these focus primarily on removing hair and debris from the top layer of fur.
Before the bath, I brushed a hairs with Furminator and Rake. And after bath I made a cutting edge with scissor! What do you think? Am i pretty?

Using clippers on a Golden? Not good
Why
It’s completely shaving the coat that is not good for the dog. This groomer was using clippers (with an attachment comb) to shape the hair. It’s not how I would groom a golden. To me it is not necessary- deshedding and lightly trimming ears, feet, tail and neck is all that is needed. However when a client wants their golden shorter all over -this is the best way to do it . And she does a very nice job

I’ve watched a few of these videos with both cats and dogs and her ability to earn the animals trust combine with her obvious skill. It’s a wonder to watch. She literally helps the animals enjoy the experience. And they are our best friends… Why not spoil them a bit?
Cutting belly fur... it isnt good for fur health
