Missionaries in general are not smart. Pushing their religion and beliefs on people is the dumbest thing ever. People aren't lost or evil because they don't follow the same brainwashing as they do.
That’s all well and good. But I can’t be quite as sad for them because they willingly went into danger, rather than being a completely blindsided victim of it.
My brother lives in Mexico, he loves it! He's been there for a year or so now and it works for him. He learned Spanish in college and blends in well with his olive skin and dark hair/eyes. He works for a US company from his laptop and makes enough money to live in the US very comfortably, but is happy there and gets to save most of his money, only needing to spend a fraction of it to still live a high-end lifestyle. Not gonna lie, we were nervous for him at first, listening to the media, but he assured us that he's in beautiful communities (he was moving every few months at first, checking the country out) the pics of his surroundings and apt. are gorgeous! No, he's not in tourist areas. He also said that the idea that most people coming across the US border are Mexicans is not true, that people go *through Mexico* into the US, but are coming mostly from Central/South America.
The media loves to paint it as Chaos in Haiti when the violence is in Port-au-Prince. The rest of the country is relatively calm with beautiful beaches and farm land.
Needs to get the story correct, before reporting it. Poor research went into “his” reporting. Too scared to be on the front lines of where these missionaries were. Cowardly reporting.

Yeah, I don’t know why they insist on pretending like she wasn’t assaulted. It’s the same thing with the Palestinians. We all know what happens to women when they are captured by groups like this and it ain’t pretty.
Oh of course killed due to their own fault…firing at a gang member! Are you kidding me? Placing the blame on victims? SHAME on you and News Nation for facilitating such a story. Disappointed in the deliberation of this message.
That place looks exactly like Hell on Earth. Not a stitch of Godliness in that country from the looks of it. I feel sorry for the good people that may be there.
First, my prayers are with their families because this entire episode is tragic. Second, I've always been of the notions God gave us brains, and we need to use them, AND God helps those who help themselves. There are certain places in the world that many Westerners should not go... especially the whyte ones. Haiti is one of those places for now. Many citizens of developing nations blame the collective West for their problems... and they would be correct to do so because we are to blame.
Well, the husband grew up in the country and his parents have been running non-profit operations there for over 2 decades. They had an orphanage and a school. It probably was not easy to leave the children behind.
When a Haitian get hurt in the United States, they don’t send American that hurt the Haitian to jail and Haiti. Why are they sending the criminals to jail in America? It makes no sense.
I would not set foot in such a horrible place before the gang take over. Why even go to such a horrific country? Right next door it’s paradise. My wife and have been to DR deveral times and it is sbsolutely beautiful. Many poor parts yet they are peaceful plp.
I hope the UN and the United States finally understand us Dominicans when we want to keep our country separate from Haiti. Is not racism is pure conciousness of a sad cultural difference.
mitch albom knew to get out of there and leave his orphanage months ago, he got rescued by a private plane, why didn't one of the americans parents get them a plane out of there.
Um, no. As someone else in the comment section pointed out, they ran an orphanage and a school there. Their reason for staying was about much more than just indoctrinating a nation. They stayed out of the love and care they had for the hopeless little lives that were there.
I highly doubt the missionaries fired on an armed gang that just robbed them, sounds like a BS attempt to pass some blame for an indefensible act.
Of course.
They wanted his fathers cars. This was a family missionary situation. Im sure they just wanted those cars.
“There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13
It’s terrible to see this but I mean, being a missionary in a country in the middle of a civil war is not a smart move.
I wonder how many Haitian gang members "found the lord", Jesus christ 😂
Jesus never charged people with doing the "smart" thing. He said it would be difficult and deadly. And so it goes.

Don’t go to Haiti ☑️ don’t go to Mexico ☑️
Don’t go to USA 🇺🇸

Like 1.5 million Americans live in Mexico😂😂😂
Tragic 💔
Make Haiti a no go zone.
What happens for the children in the orphanage. Can someone say?
These missionaries had the chance to leave early. They chose to stay if I recall. No one should be doing work there, dark place.
@@walkfasterlike the commentor stated "DARK place".
Proverbs 27 :12
Doesn’t matter how dangerous a place is, if God calls you to go, you go.
This is so very heart wrenching and tragic 💔. I pray 🙏 for the families of the victims and also for the missionary organization.
great reporting James

Wherever they go.
Hard to sympathize with such stupidity
It takes a lot of sacrifices to be a missionary but they died doing what they love may they rest in peace ❤

They ran an orphanage where one, where one of them grew up. Parents were missionaries. They were less interested in proselytizing.
I see.
You know they had their way with her.

@@SDM121888Thank you!
they love the children and willing to die for them, it is selfish to leave the children to save themselves
So, what's the point of staying if they got murder anyways.
Wow 💔💔💔💔

I find that weird when he said that they tied the guy up but the guy father explained that he was on the phone so I don't know if this is true or not
These missionaries had no reason to be there. They had ample time to leave
No reason? They were witnessing to many people and bringing them to Jesus.
That's their mission and reason to be there.

You do realize that the statement “God helps those who help themselves “…..is B.S…? It’s NOT in the Bible……!

Damn we know who did this 😂😂by the autograph
yikes...

Because Haití have no law, no jail is a failed nation. Cant believe your comment
Now this sounds accurate and hopefully they will be apprehended. Now I wonder was this military from the prison break?

Mission Accomplished.
I plead the blood of Jesus over the world for repentance and salvation...in Jesus mighty name amen
In Jesus precious & powerful name.
Amen & glory to God!

Religious delusions and the insistance on evangelizing sent them all to Jesus.

True that if you leave the master mind reach mean mission is inconplite
You know she got it 40 ways from Sunday before they killed her.
why would you say that? have some respect for members of her family that may be could see this.
don’t speak about my brother and sister that way that’s disrespectful
Why are these missionary in Haiti if you go to the lion den what do you expect
hmm. colonialism still doesn't work. shocking
Who were they colonizing, exactly? The children in their orphanage and school? The citizens they created job opportunities for in their bakery?
Excuse me there folks id like to speak to ya about the teachings of our lord and savior Jesus
Ahhh no thanks but...let me introduce you to this. I'm sure that's how it went.
Sad 😞
