Hi neighbor! Ohhh, that's a good idea. I've never thought of doing the ornamental kale, but that'd be perfect for containers! Thank you for the idea, Mary Kate! Glad you enjoyed! :)
Fear not! I grow some of my "6-8 weeks" out way earlier if you want to get started on some...I'm releasing a video with that information in it tonight, so stay tuned! :)
Im going to try lisianthus this year. I got 3 kinds of lissy to sow.bought it from our local seeds company closed to my house.they grow different cut flowers herbs and vegetables and sell the seeds so it will be a test for me and if incan grow lissy like i heard its very fussy and tricky..im up to a challenge. 😂
Where were you when I needed this 😅 I started my seeds in May so let me tell you how upset I am that all of flowers are just baby plants at the moment 🫠😂
I have never gotten champagne bubbles poppies to germinate. I've tried heat mats in the house or well as winter sowing outside. Do you have any tips to help me out? I grow lots of seeds with success even lisianthus but these do not germinate for me. I would love to try them a 3rd time if I get some tips.
I understand...they're tricky! Last year I had success with broadcast sowing them in my seed trays and thinning them several weeks after they've grown on. I also read that they like to grow on 3 weeks after sowing between 45 and 55 degrees F, so I'll be moving them to my greenhouse outside much earlier this year than I did last year. If you search in my videos for Iceland Poppies you'll find how I did it last year...at the end of the month I'll be doing it again, but with soil blocks. They're tough, but keep trying!
I liked the happy dance. 🙂
Haha, thank you!
I like your garden energy!
Hahaha! Thank you very much! I love my garden! :)
I agree. Just discovered you today!
Great video! I sow ornamental kales indoors now for blooms and greenery in 5B spring / Chicagoland

Soil blocking is a great method to use! I use it, and love it. 😊 good luck!
Thank you, Alli! Hoping it goes well for me too! 😃

Haha! I love that you're up for the challenge! I enjoy it every year even though it gives me a run for it! Enjoy the journey with Lissies! :)
