So, in this last video of this series I play a cover song. When we played that song live with the Jeff Lorber band I enjoyed it so much, that I simply asked Jeff if he could - maybe - give me a drumless version. I didn't expect him to but he sent me the drumless version the next day. Thanks, Jeff! I just love your song ❤️
The album version is great also - with Vinnie Colaiuta on drums. Quite talented, haha 🤩

Meinl you'd better start a record label, the production value on your drum playthrough videos for the past couple years, is straight-up-in-sane. Kudos to your video, audio, mixing and editing team!

Watching Jost has taught me so much about drumming it is insane. Especially music theory and broadening your patterns. Always so versatile while keeping the feel. Cant get enough

Dynamics are so good on this. Something you always notice with high level professional drummers, they can be so powerful without smashing the drums so hard

This guy is one of the most awesome drummers I've been following lately. He just floats around the kit. It's amazing. Excellent player. Tasty fills and splash and hat work. Bravo Jost

Perfect touch, but so precise! The fills are tasty yet tasteful. This is incredible drumming!

I first saw Jeff Lorber at the 1982 World’s Fair. Had a skinny, frizzy haired sax player named Gorelick or something…

Jost has a signature sonor snare. It's incredible, but every snare sonor makes is pretty great. I've got benny grebs snare. So nice

@@JostNickel I have it and black SQ1 20, 12, 14. Best drums I've ever played. Going into the studio soon. Can't wait. The thing about Sonor drums is the dynamics you can achieve. You can play at comfortable level and let the drums do their thing. Of coarse you can lay into them, but as we can see, they respond to a cunning groove, with authority. Bravo!
