Thanks for the Tour! I was looking for locations of the Wizard of Oz Coin Pushers games. I'll have to plan a trip to Las Vegas now! Do you know of any other west coast location?
Wow, looks like a nice selection of games there! Shame they didn't have Guitarfreaks though, you gotta have both to do session mode, know what I mean?! :P Also wouldn't mind checking out the Taiko no Tatsujin machine, I never had the opportunity to play that one. Will have to check that out if I ever get back to the vegas area!
***** One of the hosts told me their in talks of expanding out the arcade section so hopefully the game will make a comeback. Outrun 2's one of my favorites, let alone the two player Super Deluxe one. I can see them adding in more of the shrunken down classics, seeing the Pac-Man by it's lonesome was sad. He needs some company.
Sadly no. It's been the case with many of the older Maxi Tunes and Initial D game's I've found in the wild. The card readers don't work or are totally gone.
Yikes, kinda sucks since you need the card readers to save your upgrades, and without them, you can't do much without starting over. I've also had the same bad luck when finding Maxi Tunes and Initial D.
That's LONG now. Too many people where leaving their kids in the arcade and leaving them there. When the arcades closed they where left on the streets. Some places like NYNY and Circus Circus and Excalibur still have arcades but it's not like the 90's when they where trying to make it more family friendly.
Cards. And from what the manager told me their good for any GameWorks location. Unlike Dave and Busters where the card is only good for the one location you get it at.
Clarification @ArcadeHunte- SEGA / Dreamwoks / Universal an Gameworks, then various issues Universal bailed then, Dreamworks - and after various problems management buyout of remaining six stores - closed Vegas 1 and opened some time later Vegas 2. We did a special in the Stinger on this if interested?
WildWolf21 Oh yes, and it's just as good as the first two that came out in the 90's. With this one you can link two machines together for multiplayer but sadly the card reader was out of order when I visited.
H2Overdrive is a "Spiritual Sequel" to Hydro Thunder. The team that worked on the game used to be part of Midway and they have their own studio called Specular Interactive. They also make Dirty Drivin' and Batman. There was an Xbox Live Arcade Game called Hydro Thunder: Hurricane that came out but for me H2O is the true sequel and worth tracking down.
I remember the original location (which was on the Vegas Strip). Last time I ever went to the one on the Vegas Strip was back in August 2011.
going back to Vegas next week & def stopping by here. they need to get Beatmania & some World Club Champion Football cabinets in there!
About how many credits does each game take?

I see a few of the same cabs from the old location, but they didn't bring over the Super Deluxe OutRun 2. :( That's a shame.

Was the card reader for Maximum Tune 3 working when you were there?

+Arcade Hunters haven't been to vegas in 20 years...do they still have arcades in every hotel?

I hope that's the same Virtua Cop 3 cabinet that was at the old location. I left a 99,999,999 score on it lol
Man, I know the feels of leaving absurdly scores on games.
Did you find a sonic ufo catcher?
Do they use tokens or run by a card system?
