Several years back, while renting a room in an apartment, I was falsely accused of stealing a large amount of money from my roommate. The roommate had no proof. Their only reasoning was that I was home(on my day off). I repeatedly pointed out that the roommates bf randomly came to the apartment hours before the roommate came home. The bf showing up to the apartment in middle of the day, on my day off, was not normal. But I was ignored. This false accusation resulted with me moving out. My roommate's sister worked at my job. I repeatedly reminded her of the abnormal arrival of the bf & that it was possibility that he stole the money. I wasn't believed. I was never able to prove my innocence. After I left my job, for another job, I found out the roommate's sister was telling anyone who would listen that I stole money from her sister, smdh. From that awful situation I learned that sometimes people don't want to believe or know the truth. They rather believe a lie
