These medicines are thousands of dollars ($1300 per month), yet Butterbur is readily available as a supplement with many studies to support its efficacy as an oral CGRP inhibitor.

And it's an incredibly dangerous supplement. Serious liver damage is well-documented even in formulations that are "purified" of toxins. Germany has banned it because of this.
