Hi Tasvere, The SecureFix car seat can be installed without the isofix base by using the lap and diagonal seat belts in your car. There are handy blue belt guides on the seat and a diagram on the side to help you install the seat properly. We do however recommend the SecureFix isoFix base as it provides a direct connection with the vehicle, has indicators to show you when the car seat is installed correctly, and offers ease and convenience as the car seat just lifts on and off the base. How do you tighten straps on car seat for new born baby. The straps just seem too long
