Beef and Veggie Kebabs on the Big Green Egg by way of the Blackstone

  • This was certainly not my day. Ran out of gas on the Blackstone so I had to move over to the Big Green Egg. A few other mishaps too.
    These kebabs, I have done a few times. I also like to sous vide them before for a few hours for more tender chew.
    Recipe:
    1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
    1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice from 1 lemon
    1 tablespoon garlic powder
    1 tablespoon honey (or brown sugar) - You can omit for your diet and add other sweetener.
    2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
    2 pounds beef sirloin tips, cut into cubes
    Various bell peppers
    1 large onion, sliced into 1 1/2-inch cubes (about 3 onion layers each)
    1 zucchini
    1 squash
    Steps:
    1 - Add and wisk olive oil, worcestershire, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, brown sugar, and black pepper. Add to bag with cubed sirloin. Marinade for 1-5 hrs.
    2 - Skewer meat and veggies to your liking. I like to do veggies and meat separately.
    3 - Grill or griddle to your desired doneness over direct flame (grill) or high to med/high on the Blackstone.

    Thanx for perserverving. Lovin your videos. Please, More Keto for those of us who love to cook and experiencing food of all kinds. Your kabobs brought back difficult memories for me and how I loved the doors that opened when I learned about “inderict heat” cooking. No more charged bamboo. Keep it up.

    Quick question, how do you get the left over rice (before cooking) to not be sticky to where the grains are separate? I have tried but really struggle to get this result.
