Thanks Raphael. I enjoyed today's video. Have a nice weekend
Lol!!! Best food review I have ever witnessed in my life!!!😂🤣😂. Thank you Rafael! This was refreshing viewing.
Yes pancakes in that packaging exists here. I saw lobster roll in McDonald’s in Massachusetts. I don’t eat there but I do pick up a soda once in a while.
I shocked myself this year while in Ireland by visiting McDonald's on my own volition. They were running an "Italy" menu with cheese stix, tiramisu mcflurry, and a chicken sandwich. The McFlurry was good. Back in 2019 here in the states McDonald's was doing a world menu promotion, and every week they put menu items from a different countries McDs. I happen to visit them during the week they were selling a burger from Spain, it was really good. In fact I was kinda looking forward to going to McDonalds in Spain on my upcoming planned trip. That trip got cancelled as it was to take place in May 2020...
I would love to see the Bk or other chains as well.. I wish we had that truffle burger here
Fun and different episode. Enjoyed seeing the different menu offerings in Portugal vs the U. S. I'm not a big fan of fast food restaurants in general, I prefer to cook my meals, but I did try the pancakes at McD's about two years ago. They were surprisingly good; light and fluffy as one would expect. The order comes with or without sausage, three large pancakes with butter and syrup. Very different from what you purchased there. Anyway, I would like to see you do a video on the Burger King experience. Thanks!
The pancakes are similar to what you get in US, although you can usually cut them with a knife. Just about every sandwich at McDonald's has cheese on it, except their hamburgers. Since I avoid McDonald's, and Burger King will be within easy walking distance of where we will be living in Braga, a BK menu would be interesting.
Big brands... I was at Lisbon airport this morning, and my wife was travelling back to the UK for a short trip. So we, unfortunately, ventured to Starbucks. After 7 months here drinking full-flavoured coffee - it was like drinking weak brown water, and the chocolate cookie was particularly unpleasant.
oh goodness, I'm so sorry you had to stoop so low as to set foot in a place like that.. my heart goes out to you and your tastebuds 😜
@@RafaelDiFuria I've informed SEF - they will not let her back into the country!!
yes, please go to all the chains!
Bacalhau burger? May be not! I have noticed that Lidl has quite a lot of 'truffle' flavours currently... truffle infused cheese or salami etc - perhaps it's a Christmas tradition here?
If they had that I would gladly try it! I heard that years ago they used to have a McBifana, I'm not ususally a fan of those sorts of things, but if they had it I would have made sure to get one
I've also been noticing a lot of truffle flavors coming around as well... even friends in the US have been mentioning that to me as well... interesting....
@@RafaelDiFuria I also saw 'white sturgeon caviar' in Lidl... I'm not joking!! I even took a photo, in case no one believed me!!! 😂 (€11.99)
Some of those sandwiches do look worthwhile. I wonder if those pancakes might be better eaten right away. Even when I make them at home, if I get distracted while eating they do lose a little of their appeal.
While you raise a good point, I would be shocked if they would be much different had immediately at the location... one was just gummy and then the other was half gummy and half like a rock... I've had pancakes that have sat for a few minutes before eating... but never anything like this....
😂 😂 😂 Love your pancake experience! It was a good laugh. I’ll try to clip that initial expression on your face and paste it my scrapbook!. 🤣
My guess is a fish sandwich in PT would be stufffed with bacalhau! 🐟
I’m certainly not a McDonalds expert but appreciate how folks could be intimidated when eating abroad and yield to something more familiar.👍🏻
Many, many years ago, I too visited McDonalds to glance (not eat!) at local menus. At the time, I was surprised to find beer in Germany 🇩🇪 and Cappuccino in Italy 🇮🇹. BTW-A friend of mind visited a McDonalds in Italy recently (I was obviously disappointed in his selection of restaurants 😡) and told they charged him for ketchup. Is that true? 🤔
Thought you’d know. 💶
It's been years since I was last at a Mcdonald's in Italy, but getting charged extra for ketchup does sound familiar... I believe they do it here as well, but I don't normally ask for ketchup anyway... but I remember the first time seeing that and was surprised, I remember going to burger places in the states that would just grab a handful and toss it in the bag
I only wish it would have been stuffed with Bacalhau, that would have been something special!
and haha thanks, glad to hear I made it into the scrapbook 😜
Maybe next time I'm in Italy I'll have to show off the McCafe, or if I do another fast food video I'll see if there's one here in Braga, in Italy it's quite surprising to see how it's a whole separate section that's taken quite seriously... although I can't say I've ever seen much of a line for one 😅
Could it not be the caramel that hardened the pancakes when cooled ? Don’t they have just regular maple syrup , I may be Canadian but I thought that’s how everyone ate them 😂 also prices for some of those sandwiches seem so high considering you could get the plate of the day at some restaurants for similar prices . Good video would watch one of burger king
Filet of fish does have cheese in the USA
Would be interested in a comparison of francesinho from a couple of local taverns. You've shown Braga has the best, but what options does it have to offer?
They absolutely have a slice of “cheddar” cheese on the Filet o’ Fish in the US! It’s one of the only things I ever get at McDonalds because it’s ‘surprisingly good’ ☺️
And I was hoping it was the pancake breakfast!! They are spongy for sure. I was forced to live off those as a child and still have a soft spot for them with the breakfast sausage 😂
Guessing they don’t have McGriddles?
Dude, my mouth is salivating. And I never even go to McDonald's anymore. OK do one on Burger King.
fazer uma volta a Matosinhos quando???
I have no clue when the next time will be but I look forward to it! You'll be the first one to know!
CBO is my favorit menu and the menu (burguer chips an drink) is 7€. Markting
I've seen the McDs pancakes here in the US, with the same type of packaging. Although they were much softer. Maybe that was just a bad batch. Sorry you had to experience that 😅
JAJAJAJAJA I love McDonalds in PT, is very specific and has its details :)
I don’t eat fast food really anymore but one thing I noticed is Diet Coke isn’t a think in Portugal. Can’t eat junk food without Diet Coke. That Coke Zero stuff is nasty to me. That McDonald’s in Porto is bananas.
I personally can't drink either, if I'm doing it I want to do it right... ALL THE SUGARR AND ALL THE CALORIES! 🤣
Although I find I can't drink soda as much any more, the flavors have changed over the years, and not just from country to country... but even within the same countries I notice flavors that I just can't drink anymore but used to enjoy years ago....
You gotta try the Lent menu at Greek McDonald's. But the Italian menu is kinda sad, not anything special.
Woh, never knew such a thing existed!
Deff will have to check that out one day 😮 I've wanted to make my way out there for a long time, only ever had a connecting flight through Athens
I'd say that the BK menu in Italy (at least when I was there) was a little more impressive. Years ago on the Italian menu at McDonald's they had some "big america" sandwitches that I remember enjoying...another thing that was temporary on the McDonalds menu here in PT was a guacamole burger, and that was actually pretty good, the mushroom burger took its place
@@RafaelDiFuria Previously they had Joe Bastianich develop 3 different burgers, which were quiet good. But the current promotion is some Italian rapper, whose burger is a McDouble but with BBQ sauce rather than the usual ketchup and mustard.
Yes, in the USA there is cheese on the fish sandwich. It is not very tasty to me.
Ah interesting... was curious about that... I could hardly taste the "cheese" 😅
That's true. It's definitely on it here
Do a BK menu video. McDs is junk by comparison
Creme de legumes
Don't order the Mc Bifana,
It doesn't taste like a real bifana and it will disappoint if you're expecting a real bifana sandwich.
