Hi Katrina! A nice last information about Homegrown Garden. Thanks! It is sadness that you not to be continue your Homegrtown videoclips, but I respect your descision! Greetings and a big hug from Pieter Smit from the Netherlands.
Hi Katrina, thanks for sharing your allotment life with us all this year, hope you have a lovely christmas and new year ! new opportunities will soon come your way, keep up the good work.
Sorry to hear your job was made redundant. I nearly lost my job mid 2020. I got very lucky and was needed elsewhere at the company I work for, but it gave me enough of a kick in the pants to do what I truly want to do and that's gardening. I recently found a large plot of land in my city that someone has been so kind as to lend out to me to start a market garden on. Your videos have helped me along this journey and I'm sure will help a lot more in the coming years as I start my market garden! Best of luck on whatever comes next for you!
I'm sorry to hear that. I have compassion with your situation. (This year was for many of us, challenging year, so as I.) Let us believe, as the permaculture says, “the obsacle is solution”. So, let us turn the challenge into an opportunity. I thank you for sharing your passion for gardening, which gives me lots of inspiration. Thank you and hope all the best for the New Year.
Consider going self employed, best decision I ever made. A little scary stepping into 'the unknown' but was honestly worth it, I think you'd do very well.
I did the same. Best decision I ever made. I highly recommend self employment, if it's an option for you. I started my own business last spring just helping people with odd jobs and landscaping and now I am doing indoor carpentry work. I also started a tree removal business and I do snow removal. Being my own boss has made working enjoyable again. turns out hating my old jobs had more to do with the people I worked for and the structure of the work place. I do things my way now, and I seldom have a day where I hate to get out of bad. Follow your dreams, my only regret is waiting so long.
Same here. There is a lot of work out there. You're good at promoting the excellent job you do on the allotment so you would get work. All the best me duck. It is all going to be fine. :-)😎😃😎😃
There is always a need for gardeners especially ones who know what they are doing. Think about taking the plunge, believe in yourself. Merry Christmas.
I am sure you'll land on your feet as they say. I love your videos. And you have a real talent. I wish i had the courage to chase my dream as you do. I'm a fulltime nurse but since 5 years i am a total sucker for gardening... random facts about plants i remember but i have to look up the same medication everyday to now i can give it to my patients on dialysis. My boyfriend thinks i should just do it and look into a gardening job... but i'm afraid of loosing the security my job gives me. It doenst stop me from longingly looking outside all the time at work though.. keep up the good work. Rooting for you!!
Wow that was quite a day. Lovely to see you and I am sure anyone would be happy to employ that lovely smile and personality. Take care and HAPPY NEW YEAR - December 31 today.
I love watching your videos, through all the stages of the garden. I get a lot of ideas from watching you plant and how you plant and use the polytunnel.
OMG who could make exactly you redundant 😭 I was nearly crying... They don't deserve you! I am sure you will find something much-much better! You are so intelligent, lovely and hard working person, you will succeed. I hope you can enjoy your time off work and start next year fresh for a better job ❤️ Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing your knowledge and kindness with us 😊 Greetings, Judit
Barton Hall is up for sale. I'm sure the owners didn't want to lose their fantastic gardener, but these things happen in life. Katrina will land on her feet.

I discovered your site when all this started. You have made it all a bit more bearable for me out here in the suburbs of Seattle. It is almost spring, and all the work of summers before have prepared our gardens, and ourselves, for vigorous new growth. Peace and Joy to you...

Sorry to hear about the job. I remember how pleased you were to get the post. So many positions have been cut and it is a big adjustment; but, you are knowledgeable, talented and now, you have great, broad experience. Hi Katrina, wishing all the best for 2021. 2020 has been a year of challenges world wide, but things will bounce back for you and the world. So refreshing seeing your garden the greenery, flowers and your little robin. We here in Ontario,Canada we have 5 “ of snow, so seeing your garden was very enjoyable. Thanks for sharing and I wish you the very best for the New Year. Your personality will carry you on to your next exciting venture. 👍❤️😊
Always wonderful to see your allotment videos, even in winter. Lovely to see your hellebores, they do give some welcome colour in a bleak winter. I look forward to seeing your alliums in summer. I was shouting "Fatsia Japonica" at the screen and it's good to see there's someone else (like me) who sometimes forgets the names of familiar plants 🙂. As someone else has already pointed out the section of you asking for recommendations for dwarf varieties is at 24:31 and repeated at 25:07, but it doesn't spoil the overall video. I'm so sorry to hear your sad news and as you say this is a difficult time for a lot of people.
Haha yes I thought about cutting the Fatsia japonica bit but like you said, it happens to us all! I had a blank moment 😅 Thanks for the heads up about the repeated bit, not sure what happened there! Some naught elves must have intervened 🤫✨ Have a lovely Christmas Tim!

I am sure you will come out the other end stronger. Concentrate on keeping everything afloat for now. I love you positive attitude you are a wealth of knowledge. You have one of the best TH-cam channels. Anyone would be lucky to have you work with them. As long as you have a full belly. A warm coat. And love and conversation in your life. And dreams and passion. Thank you for all you do.
Merry Christmas Katrina. I have so enjoyed following along with you on your beautiful allotment. Sad about the redundancy but as you say you’ve learnt so much and picked up so much knowledge. There’ll be something special around the corner for you.
Hi Katrina! I loved your video and it felt like I was getting an update from an old friend! It’s been such a tough year and it has affected so many aspects of our lives! It might take some time but we will get through this! Keep growing and sharing your love of plants! It really is an inspiration! Merry Christmas and here’s to a gentler 2021!
I was made redundant last November and luckily found a job just before Christmas. I really feel for you. Please keep going. You’re obviously a passionate and hard working person. Just be you and you’ll be fine 💪🏻
I absolutely love your spirit not to mention your love for horticulture this has been a intense year to say the least
Aww sorry to hear!! Here's to the Job of your dreams in the near future . Happy Holidays!
Wild garlic is an invasive plant in Southern Ontario, we need to cull it.
Cannot get rid of it here.
Have not tried a pesto recipe, looking forward to your recipes.
That hellebore is a beauty, do you know its name?
What a delight to see your posting.
I am so sorry to learn about being made redundant and having car trouble.
As everyone here states you are a delight, you know a great deal, we are all rooting for you.
May your car run smoothly now.
Wishing you the very best.
Discovering your channel was one of the things that made the first lockdown much more bearable for me. So hearing from your personal situation makes me hope that all the brightness you bring into the word will shine back on you (and quickly in form of your dreamjob please! :). Thanks a million for all the great videos and best wishes for 2021!
Sorry to hear your bad news - it’s clear that it’s really affected you.
You bring so much joy to people around the world I’m absolutely sure that will be paid back to you.
My wife lost her job 4 days before Christmas too. So we know how you are feeling.
I hope you managed to have a super Christmas in spite of your set back.
The upside is that you will have more time for your garden - and a garden is the best place to be when times get tough.
Wishing you and yours all the very best from Australia in 2021.
That's the most beautiful wreath you made! I wish good things for you in the new year🌞
Sorry to hear about your job loss and car troubles. You're a very positive person with exceptional speaking and video skills along with gardening knowledge. You'll land a new job soon, I'm sure. Stay positive and have a Happy New Year!

Hi Katrina! A nice last information about Homegrown Garden. Thanks! It is sadness that you not to be continue your Homegrtown videoclips, but I respect your descision! I have learn teach from you about plants, trees and flowers. I wish you very luck in the future. At least; a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Prosperity and Healthy New Year 2021 with more green!
Utterly Charming! Thanks for the tour! Best of luck finding a new arrangement!
Consider going self employed, best decision I ever made. A little scary stepping into 'the unknown' but was honestly worth it, I think you'd do very well.
That's what I did when I became redundant some 20 years ago. The opportunities that have come since have made my life so rich and fulfilling!
IMO Self employed is the best route for anyone in careers that can be done sole proprietor or small team.
Hi Katrina, I always look forward to your gentle voice and videos. Keep your spirits up. 2021 can't be worse than 2020. Merry Christmas.
Hang in there. Your good attitude and great skills will land your somewhere great soon. Merry Christmas
I like that you have power and motivation to continue your channel even through this pandemic 👍 awesome video
Perhaps you could do a horticultural course part-time and work toward working part-time in your nursing job while you find a plant job. Best of luck.
Merry Christmas! The garden looks nice...so much to soon come.🙂 You're in my prayers.
It has always been delightful to watch you gardening. I have learnt a lot from you. Merry Christmas and may 2021 will cheer you up.
Merry Christmas! Thank you for sharing your beautiful space. I look forward to your videos. Your attitude will take you far. Blessings and peace!
Things will get better, believe me and believe in yourself xxxx
Wow that was quite a day. Lovely to see you and I am sure anyone would be happy to employ that lovely smile and personality. Take care and HAPPY NEW YEAR - December 31 today.
I love watching your videos, through all the stages of the garden. I get a lot of ideas from watching you plant and how you plant and use the polytunnel.
That small pink azalea would make a nice bonsai start as well. stay positive during these "life changes" follow your dreams.
OMG who could make exactly you redundant 😭 I was nearly crying... They don't deserve you! I am sure you will find something much-much better! You are so intelligent, lovely and hard working person, you will succeed.
I hope you can enjoy your time off work and start next year fresh for a better job ❤️ Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing your knowledge and kindness with us 😊
Greetings, Judit
Barton Hall is up for sale. I'm sure the owners didn't want to lose their fantastic gardener, but these things happen in life. Katrina will land on her feet.
@@PanJasnovidec truth☝🏻
I’m really sorry you have lost your dream job but sometimes these things happen for a reason. With your positive attitude and enthusiasm I feel sure they’ll be another dream job waiting for you in 2021.
I really love your garden tours.
Happy Christmas, stay well and here’s to a better 2021!
I discovered your site when all this started. You have made it all a bit more bearable for me out here in the suburbs of Seattle. It is almost spring, and all the work of summers before have prepared our gardens, and ourselves, for vigorous new growth. Peace and Joy to you...
Thank you 🙏🏻
It's so wonderful to see you staying so positive. Thank you again for the tour. Merry Christmas!
"To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow"
Keep up with the videos, chin up something will come aling soon on the jobs front, your videos are your CV.
Your videos are really helpful for inspiration for novices like me. There's not many UK garden videos. Such a pretty allotment - being an NHS med. sec this really helps to calm down and distract from work - so thank you.
Thank you for watching, your support and for your valuable work in the NHS 💙✨
Sorry to hear about the job. I remember how pleased you were to get the post. So many positions have been cut and it is a big adjustment; but, you are knowledgeable, talented and now, you have great, broad experience. Take this break as a chance to evaluate your situation. maybe thinking outside the box will open up a great new opportunity.
your plot is so very beautiful. Keep your chin up! ❤️
I love your content and genuineness. Thank you for letting your channel's community in on the roadbump. You are absolutely right that many have been through, and are still going through, the same. You're not alone! Please prioritize self care and doing all the things you love while getting ready for your next professional adventure. These times where life forces us to slow down are often needed for rejuvenation. Take care 🤗❤
Sorry to hear about your job Katrina, we both love watching your videos, stay possitive and Happy Christmas! x

Strawberries are trying to fruit in my pots.
Hi Katrina, wishing all the best for 2021. 2020 has been a year of challenges world wide, but things will bounce back for you and the world.
So refreshing seeing your garden the greenery, flowers and your little robin. We here in Ontario,Canada we have 5 “ of snow, so seeing your garden
was very enjoyable.
I had a blank moment 😅
Thanks for the heads up about the repeated bit, not sure what happened there! Some naught elves must have intervened 🤫✨ Have a lovely Christmas Tim!
Lots of interest for December, blessings to you and your loved ones
I look forward to the fruits of your free time. I am sure we will all benefit from your new circumstance. Stay positive. Happy New Year!
Hugs, those days are blech. Something amazing will come ❤️ wow crocus already!!
Thank you for sharing your life with us. I am praying that you will find a wonderful job that you love. Your expertise is evident so I know it won’t be long. Keep your faith in God and I hope you have a Merry Christmas. 🙏🏻❤️
Prayers! Better days are on the horizon.
Happy Christmas 🎄 and The New Year is just round the corner You will never know what could happen in the next year but I do love watching what you do on your allotment to keep your chin up xxx
I am sure you will come out the other end stronger. Concentrate on keeping everything afloat for now.
I am convinced that Great Britain will need more people in the horticulture industry for the grocery production after Brexit. So you might have a lot more different job opportunities to choose from.
As always - stay safe, stay afloat and keep being the wonderful and beautiful person you are.
I hope you keep on making videos and let us be a part on your journey through the complex world of today.
Best wishes and a Merry Christmas from Sweden.
On to bigger and better things.....no doubt about it. Keep the chin up. Love the content.
Enjoyed the tour. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2021 🎄
