Anyone know what the purpose of tapping the brakes before the braking zone is for at 2:50 for example? I'm doing more and more fwd manual track driving these days and feel like im missing a trick
Imagine the surprise that the 86's driver would've had looking in the mirror at 10:31 and seeing it still filled with red Honda Civic. Fantastic racing!
mate you are a very talented driver. I watched all 3 races of improved production from clipsal and you are very skilled.@8:27 That overtake on the outside of the 1st corner while sliding, was absolutely brilliant and required some big balls👍👍👍👍👍. keep it up coxy and you'll find yourself in the V8 supercars..
agreed 100%, he has the skill set AND the right mind and courage, would love to see him grow with it and make it to the high echelons of racing if that's what he is looking for
Watching footage from outside I honestly thought he would have a wild and unorthodox driving style, but this was just art, such beauty, masterful FWD pedal work. Quickly becoming one of my favorite drivers!
9:07 Interesting on how he tailed on the 86 despite the short gearing. Letting of the gas just as the 86 passed by, so that he can mash up the pedal and accelerate back up at the point where the 86 slows down at the turn. Conservation of momentum. Amazing!
My thoughts exactly... One extra gear ! Even if it doesn't make that civic much faster (if at all), at least it'd cut the annoyance of bouncing off the limiter.
Great driving champion.....you are the man. Hope you get picked up by a pro team. GT3 or Touring Car Masters would suit you. Go for it while you can.........I missed my chance!
I've been watching the Improved Production races for the last few weeks now. I love watching you and the 86 battling out. He has the legs in the straights, but watching you sneak up and dominate in the corner is just amazing. Some great racing for sure! Currently working on an EG6 Civic myself, trying to get it running for the time being.
I've been watching that pass at 8:25 for the last 25 minutes from this angle and the angle shot on TV....simple amazing. He's countering the juke before the car has really even started to shoot out. This kid is an amazing driver and someone should put him in something faster.
Wow impressive. Left foot braking, double pump for the brakes after long straight and bliping while downshift. Very old school technique. Usually seen done by the old generation Japanese racer. Its rare to see these anymore as technology has taken over all these. Launch control, auto blip, abs, brake bias. So what the driver has is pure skill and experience instead of money. These techniques take a gd few yrs to learn. But its joy to see as these r like arts that u dun see so often anymore.
Left foot braking, overtaking on the outside, doing that manuever similar to Hakkinen and Schumacher on Spa... "balls of steel" doesn't even begin to describe you
You're going places if you can keep this up. The most balls I've seen in a track racing driver in ages. It goes to show you don't need power to be the best!
Oiii nah man you deserved the win!!! That 86 was fast as hell but the driver was strugling with all those horses and almost crash in front of you!!! Watching you drive is like a wet dream, keep up mate, you're fast skilled and have the right state of mind to become an incredible driver!!! Keep uploading your races please!!! Cheers from Argentina! All the best to you in the new year!
One of the benefits of fwd cars is how quick he can get on the throttle. He's barely through the corner and he can mash the pedal without worrying about the back end coming around. I also love the pedal action. I have a tough time heell/toeing let alone throwing the left foot in there. Some very impressive driving.
That pass on the outside of the chicane was so good... not as good as the pass through skyline, but another amazing move. Keep giving them hell! Watching from Ohio!
Holyyyyy Shit!!! Those few last laps were amazing! You even pushed him outta your way hahaha.. Great driving dude! Hope you make it to the big stuff soon!
jordan that was some awesome work mate. well driven. you really have that civic well sorted mate, you make an awesome combo together. guessing the ae86 was forced or 3sge as it had a little longer legs than you.
Is that the VTEC I hear kicking in Jordan? Great racing mate. Thanks for posting the onboard. It gives me something to learn off of while I try to get into the Improved Production series myself. Its a bit expensive. When you see Grant at the next race meeting tell him I say thanks for the help and advice.
Sounds like what you need is another gear, or just a slightly longer top gear. It's gotta be frustrating to keep hitting rev limiter when everyone else can keep accelerating. Keep rockin it Jordan!
Some of the best FWD driving i have ever seen well played man all the best for 2018. Btw can i ask a little about the car? What shifter do you run? Spring rates? How have you got your clutch pedal travel so perfect? Cheers
i wonder wat motor was in the corolla, it seems like you had no problem getting close to him in the corners but as soon as the straight line star, he always pulled away with mad speed.
damn you drive good... any more info on the hachi roku ? ive already watched everything on your channel im amazed if wasnt for the 2.0 turbo in the hachi and sheer power you wouldve had him easy
Excellent race driving👌👍👍🤘!! I don't know if you're allowed to tweak the gearbox with longer gears in Improved Production but a little more top speed on the straights wouldn't hurt I presume🕵️💪😊
Fucking awesome bit of racing on that last lap, just need a longer ratio 5th and to change the synchros while you've got the gearbox open. Looking forward to seeing big things in your future :)
Promise us you'll keep recording throughout your career! Thanks from Texas!
lol love how it still has the soul of the fifth gen civic. wiper blades do not like to stay down under speed
And overtake at corner
That pedal action is amazing. Two foot driving, heel-toe downshifts, the whole shebang.
They all should be driving like that these days!
Anyone know what the purpose of tapping the brakes before the braking zone is for at 2:50 for example? I'm doing more and more fwd manual track driving these days and feel like im missing a trick
@@JToroPaz I think it's to bring the contact point closer to the brake disc before the brake point.

That overtake looked even more impressive from the side of the track (well, on tv ^^). Pretty damn impressive move there.
And now he racing the 10th gen Civic in Australia TCR
@@xtrjackson624 who is he
11:38 "this race ends with a DOUBLE CRASH!!" haha damn i love this
savage, could see him bumping the rear of the ae86 a couple times after that, letting him know hes RIGHT there.. love it
Cool vibrations
Doublu Crushe Ikuze!
last name should be Balls not Cox ...Good work and sportsmanship.
works interchangebly

Conservation of momentum. Amazing!
Dude he's a genius for doing that and you're a genius for noticing! I'm gonna have to use that trick one day
You know you're braking late when you're shifting from 5th to 2nd! Legend
If only you have a 6th gear. Awesome race there.
My thoughts exactly... One extra gear ! Even if it doesn't make that civic much faster (if at all), at least it'd cut the annoyance of bouncing off the limiter.
Keith Liew Kwee Weng Improved production doesn't allow more than 5 gears
you are only allowed 5 gears here but more towards its the EG6 final drive ratio being short.
Should drop all the gears down 1 and put a b16 5th in. May be alittle slower on start but well worth it.
Dnice8363 hes using a B20 twincam VTEC. engine. He needs a K20 engine and a slightly longer final drive to hunt the AE86.
That was more entertaining than the supercars. Been monitoring your career for the last couple of years, just getting better, well done.
8:23 That is the moment you guys are looking for.

This needs to be in the eurobeat compilations. Never knew onboard footage of this fight existed
THat civic is frigging rocket when it comes out of the corners !

These on-board vids are amazing, and the footcam is a rad addition. Thanks for posting man and best of luck on your next races
Please add a rear cam! :D Would be awesome to see your opponent's faces after you overtaking them :3

Except this time the AE86 has more power and they switched cars.
Luke Lin takumi in a eg6 loses to shingo in his faster in the straights 86 after accidently bumping him.

That B20 though. Honda's hidden gem of a motor. Keep it up guys! Make us B20 Brothers proud.
Great to watch the inside AND outside/tv.
What an epic battle!
I love the aggressive pass attempts toward the end of the video, paint swapping especially!!

i like when manufacturers have the gas pedal reach all the way to the floor to make heel toes easier. but u could always get your pedals adjusted.
I can watch this all day long.Great driving, great video.
Awesome driving!!! Will definitely be watching this from now on!
That pass on the outside of the chicane was so good... not as good as the pass through skyline, but another amazing move. Keep giving them hell! Watching from Ohio!
I like how before turns, he lightly taps his brake pedal, to make sure the brakes are working properly
Awesome to see pedal cam!
this deserves a lot more views. great video

Awesome!! I know it’s old but what a drive!!!
Man I really enjoy watching your race videos, Thank you. ( great driving)
Awesome video.. just got done watching the last three here in the states.. want my stock 98 Honda Civic:)
Proper left foot braking, and ASMR of VTEC
Awesome race, love your driving, great job.
Awesome foot cam mate
Played this vid side by side with the commentary one..was awesome. Great Racing! Lovin that lil civic :)
The Aussie initial D battle 🇦🇺🇯🇵 Love your work Jordan
Balls of steel! Amazing driving
the civic and you are made for each other, what it lacks in top end it certainly makes up on bends+ skills of Driver of course.
I love what you do with your Civic Mr. Cox! Honda, all day.

wow thats absolutely awesome great skills on both parts. 86 is definitely slower in the corners but it just hauls on the straights.
Beautiful racing ! Loved it !
Great skill and very good left foot braking!!

It's gotta be frustrating to keep hitting rev limiter when everyone else can keep accelerating.
Keep rockin it Jordan!
Probably a welcome trade-off for better acceleration between corners.
Maybe rules and regulations do not allow extensive modifications of the gearbox.
banging the rev limiter through turn 8..... friggen amazing. Your final drive ratio was a bit short but you'll know that for next year I guess.
one of the greatest race ever. Jordan Cox i hope u can go für a great career
awesome driving, great race, keep it up mate.
Was a great race to watch well done Jordan ;)
The 5th could've been a little longer for you my friend, you race like a champ! 🤘 brap brap
That was some great racing towards the end there..!
Great attitude too! It would have been easy to be mad about those final laps

Damn.... this looked better from the inside than what it looked like on the outside. This kid can drive!
nice driving mate
Big fan again Mr Cox
This is a good tuning of the chassis, of course, the skills of the driver with the
fight ... ... for a long time did not see that great film^^
THIS IS AN ART! ONE CAR WITH GOD LIKE HANDLING ANOTHER ONE WITH BETTER ENGINE POWER
you are an amazing driver. jesus please do this for us!!!
It's simply amazing!
Those down shifts from fifth to second are tasty
i wonder wat motor was in the corolla, it seems like you had no problem getting close to him in the corners but as soon as the straight line star, he always pulled away with mad speed.
Intense.! Great driving skills
Astounding!!! I like both cars, but I love the AE86 haha.
The left foot braking is amazing.
He isn’t left foot braking
mighty fast rice box you got there boy
Great driving. That gearing though! My god what's the final drive?
cox xq no relacionas mejor la marcha quinta? da la impresion que el motor da mas pero el cambio.ya no?
I think the Evo and Corolla have more horse power but its all about the driver and Jordan knows his lines. AMAZING.
outstanding driving.
11:34 This is the point where COX gave some Shingo pressure on the 86, making it fuck up at turn 6
Awesome driving!
Hot race... what specific on this eg6? what engine?
awesome footwork!!
Honestly excellent driving
But
Where'd you get those shoes and pants?
I need some of those
damn you drive good... any more info on the hachi roku ? ive already watched everything on your channel im amazed if wasnt for the 2.0 turbo in the hachi and sheer power you wouldve had him easy

Love it! Haha, did the person the Yaris (10:24) shit themselves when you and Browny went past, on either side? What about rear facing cam too?
Awesome race
So much awesome in that package.
great drive
Can u to put a longer number on 5th without sacrificing differential ratio? For the long straight way
what engine this car have and hp? and how high does it rev?? that racing keep going!!
I knew you had to left foot brake !, there is no way you could be that fast with a FF otherwise ! Seriously good driving !
Fucking awesome bit of racing on that last lap, just need a longer ratio 5th and to change the synchros while you've got the gearbox open. Looking forward to seeing big things in your future :)
Très bon pilote ✌️
this guy's a legend
Great driving. If you are allowed to, increase the rev limit by 650-750 rpm. If you worry about the motor, there are ways to keep a K save...at 10k
Which would help if he was running a K20, it is B20 powered.

What final drive do you have? 4.4 or is it all a custom set
