Try comparing them to classic rock bands that had 2 decades of bangers behind them before still bringing out new bangers - e.g. U2 formed in 1979 then came back in the 90s with One, early 2000s with Beautiful Day, Elevation and Vertigo. Bon Jovi formed in 1983 with Livin' on a Prayer in 1986 then the anthem It's My Life in 2000 and their late 2000s stuff wasn't bad either. Just a few examples but ATC have comparitively only been going for half an hour tbh

I'd say like 95% band's popularity comes from Chrissy and it's more like her side project than a standalone identifiable band. Given the fate of the most power-pop bands of early 2010's, ATC is at solid spot.
I just got tickets to their Nightmares and Daydreams tour today! And I totally get you, fellow high schooler working minimum wage. Found you guys though listening to my homies Enter Shikari on Spotify. Im really loving more women fronted heavier bands with enlightened lyrics. I especially love this song, I may be wrong in my analysis, but as listeners it's sometimes great to have our own interpretations of what the songs mean. I feel this is about the joy of being young and innocent, not knowing everything that is so screwed up in our world, especially with the growing climate crisis that threatens our existence, greedy multinational corporations and individuals who hoard wealth while billions live and struggle in abject poverty. I could spend all day listing off specific issues but I have too much to do. Or this song could be about finding out a partner/lover cheated. Either way, I love the lyrics, love the music composition, absolutely LOVE the vocals. She is phenomenal. ❤❤❤

As a matter of fact, the simpler structure matches the more down-to-earth lyrics, which I personally find relatable and powerful. On top of that the artistry of the instruments flows and melds together in a way that 1: Definitely isn’t “boring” and 2: Is also not too outlandishly crazy and in-your-face, which Against The Current definitely is not an in-your-face kind of band. So overall I love blindfolded, and it’s catchy enough for me to have it on repeat for the past month-and-a-half. You’re entitled to your opinion of course, I just feel “boring” is a strong word
