I agree with you on this, natural lighting and ventilation are always the trademark features of this home; which is why these are essential considerations. There have been modern interpretations of the Bahay na Bato that were featured in architectural magazines such as BluPrint, but it’s not as widely practiced. Hopefully, that changes soon though. This is so good! Have been searching for a Filipino build on Sims 4 for the longest time. Please do something similar to this (exterior) but with modern interior (like that of the iconic Fundacion Pacita hotel in Batanes), if you ever find the time in the future. You're really, really talented. :)
This is beautiful! I agree, bahay na bato doesn't have a complex shape, it's very boxy actually, but it has really intricate details. I feel like I listened to a lecture haha, Im surprised that there are all these terms for different parts of the house. I didnt know that they use to flush their toilet with ash ew lmao. I look forward to more builds and I hope you can talk more about yourself ;-) Happy New Year!
our hose in Bataan is inspired by the Bahay na Bato an I don't want any modern structures there. Even tho I am 12 I dont like modern houses, music and even sometimes clothing
Wow, you must have a traditional point of view. 😄 I tend to prefer modern and minimalistic house designs, but I am usually more fascinated by our vernacular architecture. I hope more of our old buildings can be preserved and reused for a better purpose rather than demolishing them.
