Intelligence is a curious phenomenon, Muhammed Ali was an uneducated genius, the US Army had to lower the standard to 'capture' him in the conscription net. I wouldn't agree that Tyson is articulate, his grammar has much to improve upon.

    • @harryzero1566
      @harryzero1566 5 ปีที่แล้ว

@Daniel I didn't 'say' he was an ignoramus, I just 'said' that he wasn't articulate. Being articulate require verbal prescision. This is bloody important. No one would be ashamed of a broken leg. No one should be ashamed of mental health issues. This man knocks out professional boxers at the highest level for a living. Anxiety issues and mental health issues do not discriminate who they affect. This man is helping to remove the stigma. More people will get help and support. Personally in the most part Ive dealt with my issue alone. Its been tough and cost me diamonds but Im still here and at least physically strong to fight another day. Thats the main thing. There's always hope. Awareness is a major key. Tyson Fury is spreading awareness. A champ in every sense of the word.

I can relate to everything Tyson just said, I started getting anxiety at 23 years old over a heart condition I discovered I had whilst on duty at work, it was a mild condition and is very common and unlikely to harm me, but it still made me convinced I was going to die on a daily basis and made myself worse with the heart racing and chest pains and struggled with this anxiety and depression for many months to then almost killing myself.. I then got a new job and started training and life got much better beat the anxiety for a good 6 years and life was good. Now I'm 29 and I've recently got myself back into that dark hole again and I've made myself physically ill by messing up my digestive system (low stomach acid production) because of the anxiety and also caused my gut to become out of balance and now I'm fighting everyday to become physically and mentally well again but it's the toughest fight of my life this time I'm 4 months into this fight and I'm praying and fighting for that light at the end of the tunnel. God bless everyone out there struggling and fighting.

The guy is fighting tougher opposition than anyone in the HW division by far, hes about 3 solid wins off being an all time great HW. So I dont buy into the notion that hes scared or protected for one second because hes already taken tons of risks. Wilder on the other hand has the record of a protected fighter, even taking this Fury fight looks like a calculated move from Wilders team due to Furys inactivity and how poor he looked in his tune up fights.

Been there bro. Sounds *exactly* like me 4-5 years ago. Just push through. One day something will just click. Some people find anti-depressant tablets help. I think they helped me. They don't alter your mind state or anything. There's a chemical imbalance in our brain that needs sorting out. Those tablets can help. You've got to stick with them though. I was on them for about 6 months or so. For me, that wasn't a long time. Depressed and suicidal for about 7 years - 20-27. So taking tablets for 6 months was nothing compared to 7 years of depression. Quitting smoking weed helped immensely as well!
The tablets obviously worked because they got me passed it. Pretty fucked up tough because i was diagnosed with cancer back in May! Got it cut out on the 4th of July. America's independence day is my cancer independence day, lol. I'm on chemo now to try and stop it from coming back. I only mention that to say that even though i was diagnosed with cancer at 33 years old i didn't go back to my dark times. So once you beat depression, it's easier to stay ahead of it, if that makes sense...
Oh yeah, and if you do go to the doctors, try to be assertive! When i first went my doctor told me to read a book and go for a walk! I went back a couple of weeks later and told him that wasn't working. Even when i went about cancer they treated it as IBS for about a month before i told them it's not working and i want further tests!

No one knows what it's like until you've experienced it yourself. It's a near death experience. Feels like your brain just stops sending signals to your body so you freeze up and starts to panic. Kinda like sleep paralysis, but you stress out of the thought that you loose control out among people.

So when I was nine years old I watched my brother die in a boating accident, he bled to death in my arms.
Following that accident my family split apart, my mother was having an affair on my father with the gentleman that was driving the boat.
After my brothers death I was abused for years in a variety of ways, and when I was twelve I decided to commit suicide by hanging myself.
I remember seeing my brother on the other side and he said "I'm with God and everything is ok, we both have our eyes on you. Your time is not yet over and you have to go back because God has plans for your life."
I fell into a bad crowd in high school, I began doing and selling drugs, I fought people for money in backyards, I destroyed other peoples property, I stole things, and I hurt many people.
One day I had an epiphany and decided to cut ties with everyone in my life and I began to focus on golf, and for nine years I moved up and down the west coast of the United States working at multiple golf courses and I was a pro for three years.
But I was still struggling with my mental health issues and I had a breakdown in the parking lot at my last golf tournament.
I spent almost two months in a psych hospital that summer.
A few months ago I began working at Crunch Fitness in Boise Idaho as a janitor because the Gm told me that "you could be a champion bodybuiulder"
This speech resonates with me on a deeply personal level because I know exactly what Tyson is speaking about.
God saved my life and he sent me back to give me a second chance.
My only desire in this life is to be a force for good in this world and to be a role model for those struggling with their own personal demons.
    God bless you Mr Fury.

Just watched another TH-cam vid about Tyson and mental health, only short, but he talks to a lad about mental health after he asks him fo a picture. Didn’t think I could love Tyson Fury any more than I did already!!!! What a geezer he really is. I struggle with anxiety and depression but martial arts helped me. My Sensei died 18 months ago who I loved and I’ve been struggling again since then. Tyson helps and inspires me to keep on, talk about it and be open. God bless you big man, I’m in your corner every step of the way!!!!!!

10 years after my head breaking, just plodding on seemingly achieving, any control I had of my mental health went 9 months ago. Watching Tyson talk about darkness, chasing everything, caring little for himself, what he describes is the closest anyone has to how I would define depression. I have achieved, lost, it, achieved more, nearly let it all slip away, constantly sat on the fence with the direction of my life due to the instability of my mental health. I have just returned to work after 6 months of fighting the dark rather than trying to block it and inevitably becoming consumed by it time after time. If you want to admit you have mental illness, which is required to beat it, expect to be isolated from friends and family, nobody likes the nut case or the association, do not expect support from employers or partners unless they are something very special, nobody honestly wants to listen someone bang on about how bad there feeling. I believe I have beat depression, there is no more dark, I didn't go to work, thought about it working in my garden and at home on my own a lot of the time in tears until I realised how much I still wanted it all. And that it is partly the way I think which makes me unique and talented. I had £50 on Tyson knock Klitchko out and I'll be having £100 on him knock Wielder out too. Complete inspiration and Manchester's Mohammed Ali and certainly my greatest sportsman of all time. Loved Tyson since he got knocked down by the Canadian and got back up to flatten him, true fighter, true genius

Mental Health is a day to day 24/7 struggle, sometimes you don't get the chance to think about recovering. Awareness like this gives a little bit of hope and reassurance that people are not on their own. If you're reading this and struggling then speak to someone or at least seek help like the mind website. Changing your habits, diet and incorporating good communication practice and exercise are the best aids for mental health. Try to self analyse yourself and listen to your body and mind.
Tyson Fury is an icon, big up the Gypsy King, takes a lot to speak about such issues, even if you are the "heavyweight champion of the world".
