Colors:
Fluid art company Piggie: twilight
Colouart : vavoom red and kiwi
Golden fluid : Pearlescent white and quinacridone magenta
Boom stain : teal and watermelon
Pillow paint : SW colors to go: ocean
Pouring medium :
Sherwin Williams Ultra deep base
Minwax polycrylic
Varthane Triple Thick
2/1/.5
Cell activator
Golden heavy body carbon black to Aussie floetrol 4:1 (added a few drops of golden high flow carbon black to thin
All colors are mixed with pouring medium 12-15mg to 10 drops of fluid products
Pigments dissolved with 1/4 tsp minwax ti 12-15mg of pouring medium
High flow products 6-8 drops
Flow aid by liquitex to thin if necessary

This is one of the most beautiful rounds I've seen. I am a little curious , all your colors are so glossy, so shinny, is that because you use the Poly IN your medium?
My colors are shiny because I use colourarte pigments . They are gorgeous ! I have a coupon code if you want to get some.
Love this piece! Do you find all the Sherwin Williams Color To Go paints work well for pillow? Do they need to be deep base or will any base work? Satin finish or any finish? Thanks for the information and instruction.
Hellooo!!! I find almost all the colors work great ! Satin finish leaves a nice shine . Remember the color of the pillow paint does dry darker then when it’s wet so pick your colors accordingly
Thanks! Went by our Sherwin Williams store and they are sold out of Colors To Go. I’m on the Texas coast and we just had a week of very unusual winter weather. Pipes froze in a lot of homes, then burst so repair materials, including paint, are in short supply. I had in interesting discussion with the guy at SW. The Colors To Go paint samples are actually a different base than their other paint bases. He said it’s so they are easier to cover up with your final paint selection. Just an interest tidbit of information.

No, not on TH-cam, but I enjoy watching the your’s and others. Been pouring for a couple of years and have taught a few beginner classes. Been practicing the bloom technique and gotten a few nice ones but nothing consistent yet. Really think climate conditions may play a part in the chemistry of this technique.
