You could put the switched diagonally to pack them righter, and use bismuth low temperature solder to prevent the switched from melting.

For an even smaller keyboard, use the main PCB for just switches, and put the microcontroller and diodes on the usb out into the PC, out of sight.

How about a the smallest bluetooth keyboard with trackpad and click buttons? Like, the ultimate all-in-one tiny thingy. No need for cables, no need for a mouse. Just all in one tiny package.

Maybe for the gaming keys like (WASD) the key caps could of had a raised bubble like nipple to make it easier to feel what key you were on? But being so small I'd say it would still be hard to tell what key you were pressing. But its an idea.
Finally, I can use my keyboard like a Nintendo controller
you should 3d print a case for it. that presses keys for you and scales it up. Like a typewriter but a keyboard for your keyboard

Hi, Im trying to make a writer's deck, basically a device whos sole purpose is for writing.
Theres a lot of designs out there but i thought it would be better to have a hand-held device.
Sort of like a nintento ds, small enough to hold in your hand, with a screen big enough to see.
This requires a simple but small keyboard. Not as small as yours but small enough that your thumbs could reach the middle keys like T, G, and V.
I unfortunately dont have much knowledge on whatever it is you did.
Do you have a list of resources or step by step process as to how you created your keyboard?
