The Arrow IIIs are used by Amtrak for Holiday extra trains during the Thanksgiving weekend (especially on the Sunday after when this video was shot) due to lack of equipment and high demand. There were two trains of Arrow IIIs and a train consisting of a MARC HHP-8 and 6 push/pull coaches.
One can see these and other Amtrak extra trains every year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

Very nice! Nice shot of the ex-Metroliner Cab!
Don't know if you were by any populated stations or if they were being blown AT you, but it's cool how the engineers seemed to blow the horns to enhance your shot.

By Eddington the speeds are 125mph for Acela's and regionals and 110mph for C trains. Septa depending on equipment are allowed between 80-90mph. The curve east of eddington is 120 for acela's on 2 and 3 track and 105 for everything else on 2 and 3. 1 and 4 is 100mph period. I worked something that morning to NYC but can't remember what train is was.

Love the Engineers that layed on that K5LA on the AEM-7s.I was in the cab of one one time on Sept 15 of this year and the engineer let me lay on that sucker for a while. also i did in an f40 that was sittin in the yard for a horn test in d.c. I know they are retired now but it was a vre f40.if you stripped the paint of it you would say hey its an amtrak f40. i also layed on the horn of the acela that same day

the Marc train is a holiday extra borrowed by amtrak for make up for a lack of equipment during the holiday travel day this is why you see the NJ transit trains as well. They will go all the way to Washington and the Marc train will go all the way to Boston i believe

They might have, as Amtrak employees operate MARC trains during the weekdays (MARC passengers on weekends can ride on Amtrak Regional trains w/ MARC tickets). SEPTA and NJT, thankfully, have their own train crews, and run their own trains on weekends.

@vze428s7 well really the Perryville line is called the Penn Line the one into WVA is the Brunswick Line which ends at Martinsburg and the and the one into W. baltimore is the camdem so i think u might have seen rented power for Amtrak

    1) Amtrak is now using ex-Metroliner cab cars for push/pull service on Keystone trains.
    2 & 3) Read the video description.

That is correct. Every Thanksgiving Amtrak leases equipment from commuter agencies for additional capacity.
