Congratulations to both of you on your newborn 🎉 Bazaar Ramadhan is too hot & crowded for a baby 😮 😊
That sweet potato donut is called 'Kuih Keria'. I think he does the special version 'Gula melaka glaze' not commonly sold. The normal version is just plain sugar glaze.

The air tuak nipah you bought is the strong version..many people prefer air tuak kelapa which is more delicious & many Japanese like it too..nipah got a strong smell & kelapa (coconut) got a nice smell..I also prefer tuak kelapa..
The cempedak seed more delicious if you eat with shredded coconut with a little bit of salt..

to enjoy food at bazar, just set different type for everyday. for example, fish or seafood, meat or chicken, desserts, on different day. don't buy to much every time go to bazar.

8:50 that is Kuih Akok...originated from Kelantan...its so famous especially during Ramadhan...and yeah the mould kinda like Taiyaki or Takoyaki 😂 and for the drink the taste acquired/strange right? Its ok even not all Malaysian like it...either you like it or hate it 😁

11:35 nipa fruit, you can google it. the taste of the juice is too unique even for me as a Malaysian. i keep trying since i was a child now im almost 30 but still i cannot drink it. i guess its not for everyone. but the fruit itself is good.

Outside Ramadan, you can find some of the street foods in nearby Pasar Malam. Pasar Malam is normally held on weekly basis, so you can visit them frequently.

11:14 In Sarawak(East Malaysia), Air Tuak is Dayak's rice wine.
So, Air Tuak in West Malaysia and East Malaysia are 2 different drinks.😅

Try eating Cempedak FRESH as a fruit, without the frying and see if you like it.
I personally prefer Nangka (Jackfruit in English) because it's crunchier, not soft texture like Cempedak.
You should try Nangka & compare it to Cempedak. Nangka seeds can be eaten, too. Wash the seeds before boiling them.

    • @nami.oishii_malaysianlife
      @nami.oishii_malaysianlife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't tried jackfruit yet😖
It's called "Nangka" in Malay! I am glad that I was able to learn another Malay language.
      I want to eat Nangka☺️

That's a palm juice. Local extracted it directly from Nipa palm tree. It is sweet at first but will turn out sour very fast especially in hot day, just in a few hours. It will become almost like an alcoholic beverages

She said she bought kebab ayam by accident. 😂
Well, for the fact, 70% or 80% purchases of any patroen at Bazaar Ramadan are by accident. It is very hard to stick with you intended plan. Plans are always spoilt with irresistible many choices when you are there.
So better not making any plan, just go with it. 😂
