- Solo travel is so good for the soul and Ubud is the perfect place for it! I spent a few days staying at one of my bucket list hotels, learning to practice self-love, visiting beautiful spots, eating amazing food and overcoming my fears!

You might feel this while you're being solo of: hesitancy or unsured of continuing what you do (its might last to a month even) .... trust me its totally normal I felt these emotions before I used to ALWAYS TRAVEL with family and friends until i reached 39 now traveled to Bali last year solo and in the first week i felt alone and i need someone to be with, to focus on to do activities. but after the first week the feelings totally changed and i accepted everything i do and enjoyed things much more than before. its about getting outside of your comfort zone or boble that you lived in a long time of your life.
I hope you get to read this and try doing it. you deserve a medal for opining up to us as i felt exactly the same as you :)

Nice vlog Phoebe. I just came back from Bali and visited some of the places you mentioned. I was in Nusa Dua from 12th Dec - 21st Dec 2022. I also did many solo dinners by myself which was a new experience for me. Even though I was alone, it did feel awkward but after a few times out, it became normal and not only did it feel like I was treating myself finally after many years, the staff made my experience even better. Keep finding you 😊
Yesss I hear you - it's awkward and first and then somehow those feelings fade and it's just the most wonderful experience. You connect with the staff more, you're more aware of the room, the food, everything is clearer or something. It's transformative. I'm addicted to it :) So glad had the same experience!!!

I loved that! You looked so chilled there (apart from at the Sacred Monkey Forest😅). So many happy memories triggered we loved seeing the rice terraces again. That hotel looks amazing. I will be back in Bali some day.

Hiya! Your accommodations are always breathtaking 😍. You know how to live the luxury life the right way! That thunderstorm sounds lovely actually, I love it when thunderstorms happen in tropical destinations, somehow they seem more intense. The best moments while traveling are those that you’re losing yourself in the weather. It doesn’t matter if it’s sunshine at sea, thunderstorms in the tropics or wind in the mountains, it all has something special. Bali has amazing nature, one more destination to add to the bucket list, which is already pretty long. Monkeys are cute! I love them. Asian food is always good, I’m curious to the Balinese kitchen 🤤. I don’t like eating out in an a la carte restaurant when traveling solo, but I do like those all-inclusive buffet style dinners as you’re not sitting all the time waiting for food, you can come and go whenever you want. How do you experience eating out on yourself? Thanks for sharing and have an amazing week ahead 🤙
YESSS I totally agree - tropical thunderstorms are incredible! I've been learning to get comfortable eating by myself - it's been a real learning curve but now I really enjoy it :) It's nice not to have any distractions - just focus on being present and enjoying each bite.

I tried this solo dinner thing this weekend. It was weird sitting there alone with all these couples and groups around at first, but the ambience was great and I enjoyed this as I didn't give thoughts on other as moments passed by. I plan to do this often. It was great to see some other solo people there by themselves.

Oh you are still in Bali? Harry Jaggard, the vlogger from England just uploaded a vlog a few hours ago and calling out on all solo vloggers to join them in a meet up or collab. He posted a link for the details of the meet up. I think he is with Luke Damant also. They are with 3 other ladies. Hope to see Ali, too! He stopped vlogging to go back to work I guess but he should go back. These 3 good hearted vloggers are few of my favorites. The way they hang out with locals are amazing that is why they earned many subscribers and viewers. Check them out if you to meet up or collab with them. I think they are still in Bali. He said he is living in Bali for now. Maybe you can also add the cost of the hotel stay and food on your travel vlog so that those who want to go can set their budget for their vacation. By the way, you are not a loser actually you are a winner, imagine eating in a fine dining restaurant. I love to do that! I wish I can.
I actually filmed all my episodes in November and December and now I'm editing them! If I travelled, filmed and edited all at once, I'd have some kind of breakdown very quickly hahaha
Bali has the best drinks I remember ordering from Starbucks their drinks are soo refreshing and you know how the ice blended drinks theres a lot of ice it's not well blended but in Bali the blender ice drinks blended perfectly it was perfect for on a humid day after walking around and hiking

Spicers Tamarind is the PERFECT place for Netflix and Oreos/chocolates! It’s those lush, remote places that really set the scene for it hahaha soooo glad you’re stalking the SLH website. I love a boutique stay! They’re just that much more special ♥️

I feel lonely traveIing alone but everytime I go out with others theres always drama fighting boy problems people losing things and blaming others like for the first time I met a friend while traveIing solo we were staying at the same hoteI and she said hi to me and we went out at night because I really wanted to see the nightlife although the rooftop bar we went to is really beautiful we went to a club there weren't many people inside there were more bodyguards bouncers and one table of like a large group of friends other than that it was strange to see how few people went out. we were there around 11pm so maybe that's why but as we were leaving I only saw a small group go in. maybe I didnt pick where the locals go because on the third to last day we went to another rooftop bar with another girI I met and there were sooo many more locals and tourists at this area but we barely had time to explore because they just wanted to go to the rooftop bar and then they were hungry but a guy followed one of the girIs and he totally ruined the vibe by pulling his eyes back trying to say he thought southeast asians had small and slanted eyes like and the girIs I was with two of them are locals ones a student the others a restaurant owner and they didnt even say he was clearly being rude but I did and we basically argued till I got up and left because I wasn't going to be in the presence of someone that was so blatantly discriminatory
I go everywhere by myself and I love it. And I love when people pity me bc I end up getting free food and drinks🤣. Pity away my good people

I’m not sure love, I haven’t hired one in Bali ♥️
And I was laughing about the part where you said Don’t unsubscribe and judge me. We would all do the same! Hahaha! My friends wanted to go see the monkeys, so we went to that forest. But, it wasn’t something I enjoyed. They were really aggressive and actually there were two different instances where they drew blood from tourists, and they needed medical attention. Don’t blame you, Phoebe!
😂🙏🏼 I’m glad you can relate! Monkeys - omg - I saw someone bitten at the Ubud forest like 12 years ago and it scared me!! But all the locals assured me it’s different now haha so I trusted them and decided to be brave 😊
