A big part of the problem is that the yearly release cycle kills all of their older games. Compare older cod titles to older battlefield titles. There are dedicated players who still hop into Battlefield 3, 4, 1, V and 2042 lobbies. Anyone can go back 10, 15 years into Battlefield's library and still find matches. Because most battlefield titles are/were released anywhere from like 2-4 years apart. This isn't the case for all of the older COD games. The COD player-base is spread too thin. In my experience, I can hardly find matches in COD MW 2019, never mind Black Ops 1 or WaW. This problem really can't be solved. It's a problem that was in the works since the beginning, however we're only beginning to feel the effects now. All Activision can do is release games every 3-4 years if they want their games to have better life-cycles. I would actually play multiplayer if I could grind it for more than a year, instead of dropping the game and all my progress for the next iteration. Haven't touched multiplayer since MW 2019, and before that it was BO2. Grinding the MP just feels meaningless if it's only gonna last 1 year.

Every call of duty before MW2019 had a identity…. can anyone really explain the identities of any call of duty after MW2019? After recently playing MW3 I can say with certainty COD has become warzone. CODs identity has become nothing but warzone with references from the previous titles. Zombies, Campaign, and multiplayer will probably be next.

Honestly I think like you said that cod won’t ever have another “golden age” partially due to the player base. The old generation that loved the original call of duties such as mw2/bo2 and then you have the new generation who started on mw19 and love everything that game is about. I feel like besides Cold War every cod has felt like a reskin/update to mw19. The menus, the art style/graphics, the gameplay. A big part of each cod was its personality. Every cod had its own menu, its own music and theme. They felt unique even if from year to year they didn’t really change that much. That and I think the focus on Warzone and the fact that cod has just become a place to grind for loadouts for said mode has killed it. Who knows maybe bo6 might be great. Although I doubt it if they stick to some of the choices they’ve made since mw19. Which they will. The only way to see real change is to have a massive financial flop like infinite warfare
@Mronihen its already been leaked that round based is coming back with 2 maps on launch, if im correct a bunker and a hospital map, its also extremely likely to expect around a month early access on zombies and i agree on mp but its another dev team so i dont want to judge rn also they’ve worked almost 4 years on it so idk i think thats a good thing mw2 and mw3 were rushed and were almost mw2019 2.0 and 3.0 versions
i feel like its the other way around imo. I actually mainly play zombies but im kinda worried about it lol. pretty sure its like a sequal to Cw, and i liked the gameplay of that game but not the direction they took zombies in imo
@@dr_ghost_007_6 mechanic wise I think its actually the best we seen in zombies. The main issue I had with the game is that I feel like it lacked a lot on the creativity side of things. 1. The storyline direction they're going in, 2. No Main playable characters, and then 3. The maps were a lot less interesting compared to previous games. I think it was a really good base gameplay wise so hopefully they take that and make the rest a little more interesting cause I feel like zombies since CW feels really bland and lacks character. Just imo though.
Not gonna lie multiplayer been ass since modern warfare 2019 but us zombies heads see Richtofen and get hype i feel like people to young to feel the nostalgia of that man thats why were excited to buy it this year.
This is why cod will never be good again. They used to make games to please the players. At least that was their main goal. Now their main goal is to make profit. And the fans see it.
I still have hope for this cod 6 because they haven't made games based on real events since cold war (which was a good game) and before that it was cod black ops 2
Call of Duty fans are such slaves. Activision could drop a game where the menus don't work and the sounds are so loud and scratchy they kill your headset, and the fans would still buy it because they saw the Call of Duty Modern Ops X trailer where Captain Price and Frank Woods teaming up to fight Makarov and Menendez who are also teaming up to hack the internet or some shit.
I think it’s parents that just buy the game for their children every year for Christmas or something, that’s why it keeps selling, I just can’t imagine this game is actually selling more and more copy’s every year while so underperforming, and ofc parent don’t really follow the news on how good the game is they just know the name is a house hold name
Call of duty is cooking… absolutely nothing. I don’t think it will ever live up to expectations anymore, and the cycle of getting hyped and then disappointed when the game actually comes out will continue.
Honestly the only five cod games I’ve played are black ops Cold War, advanced warfare, Warzone mobile, codm and modern warfare thé orignal one. But I’ve played Warzone and world war 2 with a friend on his console. I would but bo6 for the campaign I feel like the story might be worth the hype

Not listening to no one who sounds like a npc with a cut like that 😂😂😂
💔
tbf i get your point but bo6 seems like a huge W for the zombies community and probably also for multiplayer but thats a bit more unkown
@Mronihen zombie leaks have been coming for around 2 years so i believe it since the leaks were also accurate
i feel like its the other way around imo. I actually mainly play zombies but im kinda worried about it lol. pretty sure its like a sequal to Cw, and i liked the gameplay of that game but not the direction they took zombies in imo
@@808savion what was wrong with cw zombies with the exception of there being not a lot of maps
Hey but you have to have faith in the game it had 4 years development and 2 years of testing so maybe it’s going to be worth it
Not gonna lie multiplayer been ass since modern warfare 2019 but us zombies heads see Richtofen and get hype i feel like people to young to feel the nostalgia of that man thats why were excited to buy it this year.
all these people now feeling stupid after bo6 direct yesterday
I haven’t bought a cod since Cold War
If only the devs cared about the games and not the bundles we might have a good game
As long as Activision makes bank for doing very little, why should they stop?
exactly
This is why cod will never be good again. They used to make games to please the players. At least that was their main goal. Now their main goal is to make profit. And the fans see it.
Xdefiant is goated
I still have hope for this cod 6 because they haven't made games based on real events since cold war (which was a good game) and before that it was cod black ops 2
They want me to pay 110 for BO6 😂😂
I stopped playing new COD games right after I got Cold War.
Black ops 3 zombies was 10 years ahead of its time, so much so that 10 years of zombies after it couldn’t even be as half as good as bo3 zombies
yea bro custom zombies is still hugely popular to this day also
Call of duty is cooking… absolutely nothing. I don’t think it will ever live up to expectations anymore, and the cycle of getting hyped and then disappointed when the game actually comes out will continue.
SAME STORY EVERY COD NO ONE BELIEVES IT ANYMORE BRING BACK OLD COD we have mwr now we just need wawr and mw2r and bo1r
If this Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 2 remaster is not good even with four years of development, I give up on CoD.
if the bo2 sequel is good we bouta have a crazy year with gta6 also lmao
I highly doubt anyone would call a product from Ubisoft the Cod Killer
they did 😭
@@808savion I'd still actively choose to play Black Ops on the Nintendo DS than trust Ubisoft after all that "You don't own the games you buy" crap
Call of Duty's time has came and went. Now TikTok is the new craze.
If Bo6 is good, cod is saved. Is it is bad, dead game series for all the OGs.
Brother you’re part of the problem. They did this 3 cods ago. The series is dead. Stop giving it another chance
@@TH-camrr285I haven’t bought a cod game since bo3. I’m watching this game from a distance before buying it.
I’m just worried about Zombies…
yea zombies my main thing ngl lol
Thank you for giving cod mobile some love.
black ops are the only thing in cod that's consistently good imo
yea i mean i think the worst was probably bo4 and even that wasnt terrible
If we want the games to be better, then we should stop pre ordering and mindlessly buying the shit bundles and crossovers
Already pre ordered my copy
gamepass so I can get for free or just get vault for 30 if i want 🙏
I just got into COD, and I unironically love it. I have Black Ops III and Warzone. The toxic environment sucks, but I still enjoy the games a lot.
havent played warzone in a while but Bo3 is my favorite cod of all time (unpopular opinion lol)
@@808savion real! Love your content btw, i was here since the beginning
Bo3 definitely one of the best games, and if your into zombies 100% more fun
I still have hope this cod has been in development for close to 6 years I think. It’s gonna be dead if there’s warzone or DMZ
this one is 4 but yea its the longest dev time for a cod ever apparently
to be fair in the past 30 days it has a player count of 8.6 mil. i think cod gonna be just fine😭
yooo the don i know you lol
Someone please tell me what this game is called 4:11
advanced warfare
@@808savion thx
cod bo6 is going yo be most sweat fest ever I swear I hate sweating and sweats I want simple movement ong
but I like feeding my addiction...
I Still have high hope for black ops 6 because they spend 4 years for development on this black ops.
yea same theres literally no excuse for them do mess this up lmao
Been absolutely loving xDefiant
i played it i thought it was cool but i just think it needs something to separate itself from being known as a “cod killer”
Black ops Cold War is severely underrated imo I say it’s the best recent cod to date it’s the last one I played
Hoping BO6 is a quality game bc would love to get back to playing.
bru i cant believe i forgot to mention it in the video but yea cold war was pretty solid imo.
@@808savion all good bro not one of those piece that gonna give you hard time about it!
Everything else you said is accurate
I didn’t play Bo2-Bo4 fell out of cod for a while until MW remastered :)
started playing cod in 2007 and the last cod i bought was BO2, buying any other cod will only tarnish my record 😂😂
bo3 was good tho 😂
@@808savion played its zombies in an internet cafe😉
All of duty 4 mw2 and advance warfare was fun
bo6 is only gonna be playable if they remove eomm/sbmm
If Black Ops 6 isn’t good I’m done with the franchise for good
Bo3 was my personal favorite and Bo4 wasnt bad. It still felt like older cod to me. Mw19 wasnt bad but thats when the switch really flipped. It brought in so much money, they have went massively down hill trying to replicate the profits. That and seeing how successful the Fortnite battlepass was.
Unpopular opinion, Ghosts and AW we’re actually fire
aw is one of the only cods i havent owned myself it always looked cool tho
Which is your Favorite flavor of Zombies. Round Based, Grief, Turned, Objective Based
round based 🙏
W cod mobile mention that game is being slept on so hard by console n pc players while the game is literally carrying the franchise right now
i dont play it so i couldnt tell you if theres any little issues or if its imbalanced or anything but i think the concept itself is something that everyone would love to come on console
Talk about the announce yesterday
honestly surprised they actually tried and did a lot of the stuff people wanted
the community themselves ruin the whole franchise. Thank you
And it's going to take forever to download.
Everyone just hates everything personally I have absolutely loved every cod I have played
Fr tho like they haven’t made a bad game just some are better than others they have made
i dont know the new movment feature looks fun asf, plus it looks more like an old cod from 2020, which is good IMO. cold war was fun due to the small features it had, such as sniping.
from what they showed it actually looks good so far and like they're actually putting in effort in character into it. Honestly kind of surprising cause usually they do the opposite of what people ask for lmao
@@808savion The game franchise itself might never be saved, but treyarch is cooking rn so maybe the black ops franchise will be saved, just not any activision sided games. if that makes sense. bo6 looks fun though
Last actually good call of duty (and this was not the case at launch, it’s just aged well) was BO4. Every single cod since has just been a massive let down, and it didn’t even have a campaign ffs.
Looks kinda like a Ai generated thumbnail lol.
its not 😔
