Hey the short end of my turning tool slips too much when picking so I use the large side but I can barely get any leverage to lift the farthest pin because it gets in the way, is there anything you can do to fix this? (I only have a short hook but I can rake fine)

Im having trouble with tensioning. I put it to where it feels like pushing a key down but i just cant feel any binding pins. On the chance i do the pins just overset no matter what i do. I push it up carefully and it just oversets.
Try picking different combinations. For example start at the back and work your way forward, then forward and back, then in the middle. It sounds like set pins are releasing when you continue setting other pins. It probably needs to be picked out of order. Try something like starting with 2, then going to 4, then 1, then 3 or some variation of that.
