Ok, in the first 22 seconds of this video you are mis-informing your viewers. The McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II was entered into service by the USMC in January 1985. NOT 1993.
Boeing didn't merge with McDonnel Douglas until 1997.
In 1987 BAE and McDonnell Douglas began work on the AV-8B Plus. which added radar and additional missile capabilities.

Red Alert 2 bought me here and helped me learn the amazing history of the harrier. Admittedly in the game, they have a very limited function. However I'm currently modding a map to make them fully capable fighters

The yellow shirt at 1:13 has 3 orange stripes indicating he's a flight deck supervisor. Likely a Fly PO or V-1 LPO or Flight Deck LPO. Also because he is "Breaking Down" that aircraft instead of a blue shirt, its likely the blue shirts missed the jet and are now Ass On Deck (AOD) or the blue shirt was tryna race him and won.
Just because you are afraid to fly doesn't mean I am....flying sounds fun
The Corps got the B in 1985. They were used in the Gulf War. McDonnell Douglas back then.

Harriers should have add 2 big canards in it front radar dome and in between it pilot seat for flying stabilization and easier landings. Tail wings should be cut 80 percent to 3 wings like f23 designs. More aerodynamic and ever 79 percent fuel long Lange flight
why would you need canards when you have thrust vectoring already.

RR has ling been in the airplane engine business. They made the Merlin engine that maximized the P-51 Mustang in WWII.
RR aero engines and RR motorcars are two separate companies.

The Harrier existed far before GTA was even a thing. The Harrier was first created by Britain in the mid-1960s, and was known as the Kestrel (at least the prototypes were)

Elon's right but for a long while a single aircraft will be able to control a large number of drones to fly wingman for him and also to perform swarm attacks on the enemy. Considering these bot wing men can pull over 30Gs, having seven or eight of these things coming for you would be a brown pants experience.

The thrust was mentioned at 20,260lbs. This is incorrect. The Pegasus engine of AV-8B generates 23,500lbs of thrust.

Why didn't tell anything about gyro control? Harrier can't fly without it at all!
only Gyro is the INS (Inertial navigation unit). Its the SAAHS that keeps it flying. No gyros there! There is a gyro I forgot! I never had to replace one before!
@@FerryBerry08 are you saying that the pilot only keeps stabilization on the stick?
@@I___ in the hover the stability and flight is controlled by saahs which is the stability augmentation and attitude hold system and my apologies there is a small rate gyro in there. On top of this, data fed from pitch, roll, yaw air speed, ground speed etc etc is fed to the air data computer and mission computer to power the PFCUs and wing tip, nose and tail RCS vents from bleed air fed to give stability. All this is automated and controlled by the saahs to make it easier for pilot to control in the hover and in flight and keep hands on stick and throttle and nozzle position. Inherently the aircraft is unstable so without it would crash! I’m super rusty as it’s been over 10 years since I was on the aircraft! A lifetime ago now!
