To all the people that have criticized this woman for her music, shame on you. Most of the comments criticizing the music were just that. To those of you who couldn’t even say thank you, shame on you again. This lovely woman took her time, knowledge, love, and care to create this video. The way that she has presented this is her artistic expression. All of you who criticized her are inadvertently criticizing her art form. She is new with this. Do you remember the first crochet project you ever did? How would you feel if somebody criticized you? It’s the same. I said it before, if the way that she presents this material does not work for you, find one that does, and keep your comments to yourself. I understand there is constructive criticism, but the point is, this is her artistic expression of how she would like to share this with you, and if you don’t like it, that is your problem not hers. AND It’s not what you say, it is how you say it.
I would have liked a bit of verbal instruction just for peace of mind. It seems there is no happy medium with these videos though. There are either Chatty Cathy's who don't know when to close their mouths or these silent ones. You have to admit the music was a bit annoying, but speakers can be turned off.
I love this music! It reminds me of some of the best times with my grandparents. She played guitar and he played harmonica. 'By the light of the Silvery Moon'. Is the songs name. Beautiful!!!
@@massivecrochetyou are welcome. Thank YOU for sharing your beautiful patterns. You have inspired me to try stitches I was intimidated by. I love the simplicity of your presentation. Thank you!!
This is awesome! I’ve been crocheting for about 5 years, from people I’ve watched here on TH-cam. I’ve never seen this stitch. I called my granddaughter and told her to pick out some yarn and I’ll crochet her a blanket for the bed I gave her. She’ll appreciate the work that goes into crocheting a project that large. This is going to be fun! 🧶👍🏼
The Music is called “By the light of the Silvery Moon”🎶🎼🎶 it was song by Doris Day and Gordon MacRae. This song was in more movies than I can remember. So for those who criticize this old song you don’t know history. Crocheting is older than this song. Thank you showing me and old stitch in a new way. Yes, I remembered that song. My grandmother would craft to that song, my mother would sew to that song. Thank you for playing that song! In a world where the music called women out of their names, rappers talking about all kinds of violence… yes I will gladly listen to this old song and tap my feet and sing the lyrics I can repeat around young and old and not offend anyone! And YES! I might just crochet by the light of the silvery moon
My mom used to sing us to sleep when I was little. This was one of the songs she sang to us, so I know it well. I also sang in a group that performed at nursing homes and memory care centers. We sang songs like this. Music like this is lovely.
Thank you so much! 🙏 😍 It's a pleasure to know that you love the music and the sounds of nature as well. 😊 God bless you always too, my dear! Happy crocheting! 🥰 🙋🏻♀️
I've made a few of these baby blankets using 1 row solid color, next row variegated & next row a different solid color. It turned out so gorgeous. Then I do a plain border covering up the carrying stitches. Looks completed...
I LOVE this pattern! It IS one i could follow for a FEW rows and KNOW what to do next!! Even for an OLD lady!! But you have done in nice timing-FOR ME!! I WILL SAVE and make this winter!! Thanks!!
I was a little afraid of the front post crochet stitch because it sounded complicated. But the way you lead through it in the video makes it super simple to follow, and not nearly as intimidating as I thought. Thank you so much for the demonstration. Love the way it looks too!
@@massivecrochet I'm truly grateful you took the time to make this tutorial! After being away from crochet for over 20 yrs, I decided to get back into it. Looked for simple tutorials and found this one. First, I LOVE the speed with which you demonstrated it, and CLEARLY showed the needle itself! Crocheting is a fiber art, not NASCAR😂! It was a Godsend for this old gal! The music, NOT an issue...I just turned it down as MY focus was YOUR technique. Forget the "naysayers and critiques", just keep doing what you do so very, very well with beautiful and easy results! Thank you SO much!

I love the pattern and I also love the video. You show perfectly what you are doing and do it slow enough that beginners can follow but not so agonizingly slow like some do that makes for a very tedious and frustrating video. And of course if someone needs it slower they can go to settings and change the speed. So thank you for making a fantastic video that I love

This just flew into my feed so I checked it out. Very nice pattern. As a voracious knitter, 😊I still struggle to get neat edges in crochet. Hats off to all you wonderful crochet folks. Appreciate you sharing your talents.😊
To get better edges in crochet, try alternatives to the common turning chains. There are several videos on TH-cam covering this. Turning chains tend to leave big gaps with a fair amount of slack in them which make the edge wobbly. Another tip would be to make sure that if a pattern says turning chains count as nothing, to start your next row in the very first stitch. If you were to put your first stitch into the second stitch, your project will become progressively narrow. First try some turning chain alternatives. There are several and so work wonders to neaten up those edges! Good luck!
@@kittenkorleone2918 Thanks so much. Great tips. I think that’s the mistake I’m making cos my projects get progressively narrow (lol) and then it goes into the frog-pond. I can make square blankets, granny squares etc., without issue but anything else.. … learning curve! Ravelry also helps a lot! Again, thanks so much for your kind help.
If you are a beginner, pay attention to lining up the stitches and the rows. Once the foundation rows are started then this will be super easy. I wish the person spoke during the video. It would be helpful to most people. Thanks for a modern stitch. I am making it into an afghan with a foundation of 120 chains.
Great tutorial! I love the way you put the stitches on the screen because I am a visual learner and it helps to see it in writing. Does this stitch have a name? Thanks for sharing!

This looks complex to the non-crocheter eye, but simple enough with an easy repeat. Can't wait to try it! QUESTION: I want to mimic the foundation 'cuff' (row 2) at the end of my project. Would you suggest a Left to Right row of SC then a final row of DC in each stitch, Right to Left? Am I overcomplicating my thought process? Thank you for sharing! Happy New Year's Eve 2022-2023!
Thanks a lot! 🙏 🥰 I can assure you is not as complicated as it seems, if you follow the tutorial you will be able to work it! I think you had a good idea, I would finish with a row of SC to make a 'solid' edge. Happy New Year to you, too and happy crocheting!! 🥳 🍾
Thank you for sharing this pattern, I’ve been crocheting for years now but fed up of the same stitches! This is simple but very very effective! Thanks again ❤xx
That’s very pretty. Thank you! It’s unfortunate that so many of the complainers get the attention on here, as opposed to useful comments. I’m not a fan of music in tutorials - at all! - but I appreciate that you don’t talk at the same time so I can easily mute. People: remember your volume is there for a reason.
This is a great stitch that looks so beautiful. I, personally, would have preferred that the explanation of each row was listed or stayed on longer. Thank you!
This is her channel and she is here for a purpose to crochet. People try to control those who crochet, make other videos, etc to change this or that or stop this or that. Just trying to control others. If we don't like something we can just move on, turn down the volume, etc and STOP criticizing period. Social media has gave everyone the so called right to complain, criticize, grip and more when all they say is we have the right. No one has the right to tear down others nor tell them what to do. Move on all negative Nancy's!!
Thank you so much for your comment. 🙏 ❤️ 🥰 I couldn't agree more. If you're not a fan of my content, that's ok, there are plenty of other crochet channels out there. Crochet is all about relaxing and having fun, so don't be negative please.
Hi all gosh I just love how stunning this pattern looks, how amasing this person is for doing this video. Thank you so much for bring your art to us all. Please could you tell me is it worked in blocks I would like to make it wider sorry to ask but I am new to crocheting. Please take care.
Thanks sooooo much! It's very kind of you! 🙏 🥰 No problem. You can surely make it wider, you just need to start with a longer foundation chain, respecting the multiples of 6. Happy crocheting! 😊
@susanoneandonly7970 Hi! I have to correct my answer: I told you to respect the multiples of 6 but I wrong, for this pattern you have to respect the multiples of 5, as written in the video. I'm sorry! 😔
A big thank you for your lovely patterns i am doing this blanket for my Granddaughter im really enjoying the pattern and you are so easy to follow a big thank you .Your music is so relaxing it reminds me of my grandma xx
Glad you like it! 🥰 Thank you so much! 🙏 ❤️ 😊 As for the ripple effect, it generally happens if you add or skip stitches. If you've double-checked it's all good, then it could be due to the tension of your stitches or the type of yarn you're using. Moreover, make sure your crochet hook is suitable for your yarn. 😊
🤣🤣 and then.. I pressed play and it went like so... Ding ba ding ping ping and the vibe is so happy 😁 🎹 😅 I love it. Seriously I see no wrong in some music ambiance and humor. Well now, if I could squeeze a boat of words in 1 comment 🤦♀️.
I love the music and the tutorial is very clear and very easy to understand for a new comer like me. One more thing, if you have nothing nice to say to anyone, please just shut up and go find your own thing to do.
Glad you like it! 😊 Thanks a lot! 🙏 ❤️ 🥰 Absolutely! I think it would be perfect for a man's scarf. The pattern has a timeless and versatile look that would work great for anyone. 😊

Beautiful and easy. Going to do a scarf and hat for me. Thank you so much.
Thanks a lot! 🥰 🙏 Wonderful idea 😉
Thank you for sharing this pattern, I’ve been crocheting for years now but fed up of the same stitches! This is simple but very very effective! Thanks again ❤xx
Thanks so much! 🙏 🥰 I'm really pleased to know it! ❤️
Thanks so much! 🙏 ❤️ 🥰
hello this was pretty easy to follow definitely looked harder at first.
Would you finish it with the same pattern you started?
Hi! 🙋🏻♀️ Sure, you can certainly finish with the same stitches you started with, in order to create a sort of little border. 😊
I would hAve loved to seethe other side. Thank you forthe video.
😊 You're welcome! I can assure you that it's so pretty! 🥰

@@massivecrochet Thank you so much for all your help.
@@susanoneandonly7970 It's a pleasure! 😊
@susanoneandonly7970 Hi! I have to correct my answer: I told you to respect the multiples of 6 but I wrong, for this pattern you have to respect the multiples of 5, as written in the video. I'm sorry! 😔
I love the music and the tutorial is excellent ❤❤
😍 Thank you so much! 🥰 🙏 ❤️

Thanks so much! 🙏 😊 I'm glad to know that! 🥰
FANTABULOUS!
Thanks so much!!! 🥰 ❤️ 🙏
When I make this, i will do a Drop Down stitch on the back of the post stitches to avoid those flaps at the back
This is beautiful and easy to follow, thank you! I'm getting a ripple. Do you know why?
Glad you like it! 🥰 Thank you so much! 🙏 ❤️ 😊 As for the ripple effect, it generally happens if you add or skip stitches. If you've double-checked it's all good, then it could be due to the tension of your stitches or the type of yarn you're using. Moreover, make sure your crochet hook is suitable for your yarn. 😊
You have made simple stitches into a beautiful pattern. Thank you.
Thank you so much! ❤️ 🙏 🥰
