    I had been waiting for so long for this machine to come back in stock at Costco. I finally decided to go inside the store to see if they had one on display and man was I shocked to see one. It was a beauty! It was the last one they had and I talked them into selling it to me. Just the day before that I watched a video on how to assemble it. I told them that I would break it down myself and load it up on my truck. They didn’t want to sell it at first, but I persisted. I paid $1250 for it, went home and got my tools, broke that baby down and loaded it up. Now it's sitting pretty in my garage right beside my Inspire Power Cage. I have to say that I'm in love with it. It's very smooth and gets the job done. No more gym memberships me!

    What a wonderful machine ! They sell it at Costco but at 1799$ it's too expensive here in Canada. I wish they could give us a promo code so that it could bring the price down to 1000$ like in the US. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

      Inspired FT equipment isn't like your typical low end quality home gym equipment you'd see at Walmart. For a few yrs I was working out at the gym that had same exact FT set. I loved the equipment so much I got FT2 Inspired gym set. It's a "investment", where your not fighting/waiting to use the gym equipment & the equipment runs smooth, with quick & easy switching things. & not paying monthly fees at the local gym. You want a real home gym & quality without shuffle free weights this is it.

    How can I do lat pull downs and how would I hold my self down? Can I do low rows, is this the same hight as a regular lat pull down machine?

    • @ExerciseUK
      @ExerciseUK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lat pull downs can be done with the pulleys. These can be adjusted up and down the runner at the front of the machine so that you can change the type of exercise you're doing. For lat pull-downs, if you jump to 1:40 on the video, there is an example of what to do and how to adjust the pulleys. By adjusting the pulleys in the same way, you could move them to the bottom and do low rows. In terms of the height of the machine, or technical specs can be found here: www.exercise.co.uk/inspire-ftx-functional-trainer-with-bench

    • @futbol1972
      @futbol1972 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ExerciseUK I know that but is there a way to hold yourself down while doing lat pulldowns like a lat pull down machine? I also heard this functional trainers are shorter than lat pull downs machines so even if I was able to find a way to add a seat or something to hold myself down it looks like I would not have fully rabge of motion on arms do to functional trainner being shorter

    • @ExerciseUK
      @ExerciseUK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@futbol1972 The machine comes with a weight bench if that's of use. If you want a machine specifically for lat pull downs, you might be better looking for a smith machine or a cage of some kind. The functional trainer is designed for you to be able to do lots of different workouts without having to buy more equipment. I can't say about the height as it depends on what specifically you're judging it against. It all comes down to what else you'd want from a machine in your home I suppose.

    • @futbol1972
      @futbol1972 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ExerciseUK thank u for ur response. Well, I was hoping I could use the functional trainner as a functional trainner plus a lat pull down of some sort knowing that it's not a pull down machine..however I seen people doing low rows and lat pulldowns on functional trainner that's why I was wondering if it's really effective doing lat pull downs and low rows on it since u own the machine....also u mentioned a simith machine...I have read most bnegative reviwes about smith machines though

    • @ExerciseUK
      @ExerciseUK  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@futbol1972 It really depends on what you want from a machine, your budget and space. If you get the right one, Smith machines are perfect for what I think you're looking for (www.exercise.co.uk/home-gym-equipment/smith-machines), but there are a range of functional trainers aside from this one that might be more suited to your needs (www.exercise.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=functional+trainer).
      I think the following might be perfect for you as it has functionality for lat pull-downs with enough height and a separate low row pulley: www.exercise.co.uk/marcy-md-5191-smith-machine-home-gym-weight-bench
