Did you know that those air clamps have something called a humphry valve that has a little hole, and when clogged, it will limit the throw slightly, making the problem seem like it could be a limit-switch issue? Terry the technician gave me this solution, on a phone call years ago, and it solved my problem!
The Humphrey valve has a diaphragm in it. It is specifically built to be able to have two different air pressures on a single connection point. It did this for "pre-charge", which brings the piston in the TRP (tool release piston) assembly down lightly to it's mating surface, before applying full air to the tool release for clamping the drawbar. The diaphragm reaches its fatigue recovery limit overtime and fails to keep the two pressures apart. This gives a significant slapping sound on every tool change. Although it's a bit like a puzzle in plumbing, the valve can be changed pretty easily if it's in the front. Though the spindle head cover, if all one piece with black tabs on the sides, is harder to place back on versus changing the valve. -HAAS Tech

@@Xphinitydo the Haas over lords know about you sharing knowledge?
Superb video.well done and thanks.
This information is invaluable. I always watch your videos, and I don't even own a Haas.
Do you have any videos on Spindle Cartridge swaps/rebuilds?
Specifically on milling spindles?

@@cncrepairmanbeautiful, you should video yourself/full process.
I loved the turret removal/installation video.
great video thanks for the info
Okay now do a video on replacing that c-clip on the drawbar piston spring.
Important is, when you Type in m59 p1120 the First sensor need to switch. And the precharge must be at 0,3bar (right purge Line).
