I really think yours is the best channel to fix things mate! I have yet to watch more of your content that I have noted in my head, but yours is the best to get from 'A' to 'B' with. There's this really bright jam packed young guy from Europe that explains a lot with theory and demonstration upon how to use and understand and he's really awesome too, but the practicality, demonstration and explanation with instruments and REPAIR- the delight; is YOU! Thank you so much. (I have done some theory formally, but not much practical experience. This was quite a few years ago now, but the repair industry in Australia and New Zealand has all but died. Sad. It's throw-a-way, only to replace cards in a few, but no-way!)
Hey mate, may I suggest you add a marker on your mouse cursor when you are doing these videos? I see very often that yellow circle but might have many good alternatives :). Just to help we see where you are pointing for those watching on TVs or bad eyesight... Great video, as always! Thanks and Cheers!!!
I am having difficulty following the pointer when you are indicating on the schematics. Could you please change to a black pointer. I am enjoying the channel, very informative 👍🏼👍🏼
Great video. Does the manual not give clues what to do when the protection LEDs come on? Seems odd they have put the LEDs there and then leave it up to you to trace the fault. But it's all very educational.
Worked on a similar but older version of that amp around 25 years ago. Put it on the bench, powered it up & nothing. Unplugged it. Went to open the lid & as I touched the case, had the biggest shock of my life. Threw me a couple of feet & buried my head into a plasterboard wall. Capacitors discharging into the case with faulty/disconnected ground was my guess, but didn’t touch it further. I’ve bought an isolation transformer & variac, but don’t see how they would protect me in that instance. Any ideas?
Typically its shorted output transistors. Its though when you cant turn it on. You can always take off one side and see if it powers up. If not, then take off both sides. If its still in protection mode then its probably on an amp or pre amp..
Hi Richard. Ta for the vids. You are one of my favourite tech gurus when I have down time. Here is another chap who is underrated and would appreciate it if you could plug him, merely for his ability to connect, ( no pun intended), mere mortals, like us your utube subscribers, with the world of electronics. Here is what I sent to Vince with the same rhetoric. Many thanks. Hi Vince , have been an avid follower since the Bronze Age. A little known channel that I also have been following since inception, is Hasseb Electronics. This guy is the epitome of “the internet of everyday use cases… and I will fix it”. Would love for you to give him a plug? Like you, this guy is awesome.

Elektrotanya is Hungarian. I'm Hungarian too:) Also, can you please add a yellow circle to your mouse so it can be seen better?
Really useful, both specifically (I have two !) and generally in using a circuit t fault find. Can’t wait for part 2 ! Thanks.
Part 2 should be tomorrow

Like others say, we cannot see what you are pointing at on your pc screen.
Elektrotanya is a Hungarian site. The Hungarian "tanya" means farm in English.
Thank you. I hope I didn't insult any Hungarians thinking it could be a Czech channel
