@@EverlyMorrow I’m pretty sure it was never really described in the books properly. But in the hobbit book, Thranduil’s hair is told to be blonde so Legolas’s hair is assumed to be as such too.

I’d have to disagree personally, as at the moment Gimli is probably my favorite, but I absolutely love Legolas and if memory serves he was my favorite for quite some time. He’s hard not to love.

I think the time after the Hobbit must have really softened Legolas... In The Hobbit films he's angry and too feisty... I don't get why they changed him so much. In here he looks badass but gentle and kind at the same time... There he's just angry.

@@quirrelmorts I love the action scenes, but there he's just angry... Honestly, for me it was an extension of Orlando's role as Buckingham... He wasn't the Legolas we knew... Not only he looked "older", but the angry birds vibe killed in a negative way for me.
I think this is because in the hobbit, since it happened before lord of the rings chronologically, he was younger in the hobbit movies. It can be implied that he is less mature back then and more arrogant. Clearly he's become more experienced by the time lord of the rings came along, with more life experience he also has a calmer demeanour and temper.

There are so many deleted or unused scene with legolas and I wish they were in there because he deserves more screen time.
All the way through this movie I was frustrated that Legolas kept warning the party of approaching danger, and their answer was always, "Yeah, whatever." Then he'd fight like heck to protect them even though they never bothered listening to him.
