this is my favourite song!!! when i was a young kid i was forced to move away from my home, into a new city, new school, new everything. i moved away from my friends, my school, my best friend, my home. it was only a small town but i loved it, it was a small country town, and this song reminds me of it. it's like i just connect to this song

So, I now have a very special memory with this song. So, I dislocated my knee on a camp and while I was resting at home, after school my friend ( Rachel) would FaceTime me EVERY afternoon and they would play the electric guitar and we would both sing this song. Everyday until I got back to school. And instead of “ when I was six years old I broke my leg” we would sing “ at 12 years old Aleeza dislocated her knee”. Now this is a really special song and every time I hear or sing it I think of how kind they were to cheer me up. Every single day. And they did it without getting tired of it. Rachel, if you’re reading this ( which I doubt you are😂) you will never know how much this meant to me ❤️. So yea, this is my memory

Last year, we were going out for swimming lessons for school. My best friend showed me a song. That song was called "Castle On The Hill". I listened to it, then I memorized the song and sung it to my friend. She, of course, sang along. For the rest of the semester, we sang it on the bus to swimming on the way and back. This year, there's a talent show at our school. You can do dancing, singing, ventriloquism, comedy, or anything that was a talent of yours! This year, my friend came up with a great idea. She said we should maybe bring back a few memories by singing castle on the hill as a duet. I agreed with her idea. We know the lyrics already. We still do rehearse just in case. I am doing this karaoke to make sure that I know this song.

I love this song
okay whats wrong with me lol- so ive always had an ear for singing, and having perfect pitch has definitely helped me. Ive always loved singing, i was in an audition choir that literally won nationals in middle school all three years. And i was in 2 musicals, and a super huge concert in my freshman year of highschool. I have literally been trying everything i can to further improve my singing because i want to be the best that i can be, and ive been trying to look up the proper coaching videos so as not to hurt myself or use the wrong technique ( which can be VERY detrimental to vocal health) and i even sound good most of the time, i DONT sound strained (and i used to, so clearly thats working) so WHY is it still hurting to sing after a little while? like idk, maybe this is just one of those things where i have to build up the vocal endurance. But ive been singing my whole life, im used to it, why would i not have enough vocal endurance? like ill be doing pretty great when i start practicing during the day, and then its fun so i do more lol, and im VERY constantly checking that i have proper posture, breath control, that im not using my throat too much and when i belt high notes to use a mixed voice, because using full voice on high notes all the time is harder and damages your voice over time- i had THOUGHT i had gotten mixed voice down, but im not so sure anymore... it DOES sound improved, like as if im doing what im supposed to... so then why does it still feel sore after singing just a couple songs? (Like 4 usually, less if im not well hydrated) Like are any vocal coaches over here, cuz i need some help lol. Ive wanted to do coaching to get it right before but ive been too nervous lmao. But i think im gonna sign up for coaching at some point.

I'm trying to sing this for a choir solo so I recorded it with headphones, planning on adding the background music in later and I sounded terrible and cried. I probably only sounded terrible because I wasn't warmed up but I don't know how to sing loud without the notes being off. Anyway, it's too late now to warm up and try again because I'm too frustrated.
