Very Cool Mike. So, I've been a ham for 40 years. Been through 3 solar cycles and I can share from experience that 10M is a fantastic band at the height of the cycle. But signals will come and go day by day or even hour by hour, depending on the prevailing conditions. It's one of my favorite bands - you can talk around the world on 5 watts. You can hear one side of a conversation - only and or both sides and yet the participants can be hundreds of miles away. The Solar cycle will wind down over the next 3 years. You will see weeks where conditions are good and weeks where there's nothing. And Less and Less over the next 3-5 years. 5 Years from now 10 will be dead except for occasional E-Layer and or other exotic and rare propagation. Enjoy the fun on 10 because it won't be this good again for about 9 years.
Strange, I made 15 overseas, 4 in South America, and a dozen around the US; from my QTH in Wisconsin on an FT-710 12-28-24, I run a custom full wave loop for 10m. KD9HCW
10 meters is like that, many times you can tune down to 11 and it will be wall to wall with stations but you come back up to 10 and hear no one. The bands open but probably everyone is doing the same thing, tuning across the band just listening. 😀 Call CQ a bit, the stations are there, just like fishing, you got to wait for them to bite. Try going out to a park and do a POTA activation but be sure to put yourself on the spot page. You'll be surprised to see how open the band is. 73, KU4MP
Hey Mike, it's solar activity that is causing the 10m up and downs. Conditions will get back to normal within a few days.

More and more Hams are screwing around with FT-8 and no longer speaking into a microphone.

Why is your CLAR off +90Hz? Will not get many replies BTW I worked 10 and have over 300 QSO's over the last 2-3 weeks N3WER 73

10m is amazing! Making contacts around the world, Solar cycle shouldn’t wind down for another 3 or 4 years.
