Ugh. It's videos like this that make me miss the scrap truck days even more. By far, the best videos on this channel.

I can't call you a fibber Greg, but Michaels wages for working on it.. I know I watched you do all the huck rivets and lots of work yourself but that young man has been a godsend to you an Allie. We think we got all the numbers... you hit closer to fifty on that truck as I watched the tanks of fuel going all over to find stuff for it. Wrecking yards came later too yet I have owned and built a few myself and other than sell some stuff to recoup moneys it is hard to get this far. If you are in only forty tops, your a better bargain hunter than many,.

That is not bad, 35K+ and some change you did good in pricing and fixing the truck your self compare having the shop do all the work it would have cost more. Fixing a truck your self takes time. Can't forget the gentlemen that help shining up chrome but everyone one that help with the build and parts really made this truck look awesome.

Got thinking about how fancy ur making the race truck with ur bead roller could make the panels for the area where the radio goes and make it fancy compared to the stock. Just a thought

Appreciate you sharing the gritty detail on the costs. If I lived over there (currently in London) I’d have me one of these as they’re just awesome! Enjoy the rest of the process finishing this one off, you should go see Mark @ Twin Sticks with his Peterbuilt truck - his still needs bodywork to finish.

  • @danielhofer7386

hoses.,valves,u-joints, drive lines, air bags,etc,etc,etc,etc.etc. That stuff all adds up fast. You maybe got quite a few favors & good deals on some larger stuff that helped keep that cost down, But the biggest sayings was your LABOR. doing much of it yourself saved you 1000's of dollars. & you got much more to do. interior not done, frame should be sand blasted & painted, & at minimum paint the cab to match the sleeper. You spend another $10,000 to $15,000 dollars on her & you will be in the ball park. like you said we got a lot more to do before it's done. $ $ $ $ $ $

I see it every time the front of the truck shows up. its black background and the other 3 are silver :) :D maybe it doesn't bother anybody, but now i cant not see it :) I love the truck, glad we got to talk to you at semi casual show.
