I kind of feel like it's dangerous to have waders on those rocks, if fall, it would be very terrible. What a good felt soled shoes you would recommend?
@@BashiWAFishing I wear simms waders and boots. The breathable waders with a tight wader belt are extremely safe. They are very comfortable and lightweight so it’s easy to move around in. If you’re ever worried about falling in the water and not being able to swim then you can wear a self inflating life jacket as well.
Most people are not afraid of falling in the water, it's getting smashed into Rocks, or falling onto rocks that causes Hundreds of Broken legs a year on the Jetty. It's a stat, so it's real. ;) If you read the wdfw page, they warn about going out too far on the Jetty or going when the wind is too strong for example. For the Mar 24, 2022 post: ``` Speaking of safety, jetties can be a dangerous environment with large, slippery rocks, sneaker waves, and other hazards. Anyone venturing onto the jetty should use extreme caution, wear proper footwear (hiking boots or felt-soled boots typically provide better traction than rubber boots), and not exceed their physical limit or experience level. Wearing a Personal Floatation Device (PFD) is suggested, especially for children.``` So they do mention felt-soled boots, but caution is always number one. Thanks for the suggestion as well.
@@BashiWAFishing subscribed! i am inspired to go back fishing..used to fish salmon and lake fishes in Ontario Canada, we just moved to bellingham, Wa and I want to go out and fish..i wonder if there is a useful straighforward website guide to fish in WA plus regulations, sizes limits, etc...tnx man..inspiring vid...can we just go straight to the jetty and fish as long as we have the license?
@@notpastranapastrana2403 www.eregulations.com/washington/fishing/, it's a bit complex, some lakes and rivers have special rules for fresh water, just try to find the name in this website. For salt water, just find out the marine area for the place you want go, different marine area has different rules; I usually do jetty fishing at west coast, we cannot keep rock fish in puget sound
Very nice! We've only fished the Westhaven State Park Jetty and the small finger jetties at the Westport harbor. Only had some luck at Westhaven on the ocean side of the jetty (only on clam days) where we caught some lings, rockfish, cabezon, and greenling. Never really any luck on the harbor side of the jetty. We should probably give Ocean Shores a try next time.
I'm going out to Ocean Shores this weekend and staying very close to North Jetty. I was thinking about fishing it. Is it a good time right now? (August 27th, 2023)
@@BashiWAFishing I was just playing it by ear, I’m going to be there tomorrow (Monday) at around 5pm-6pm. I’m probably going to be out there regardless of weather 😅 I’ll bring a lot of weight!
Nice job. I live in Aberdeen and my mother lives in Ocean Shores. I usually focus on Westport but Ocean Shores must be easier to park and fish without walking all the way to the end of the jetty like Westport. Thanks for the recipe.
I wear breathable waders with felt soled shoes and they stick to the wet rocks like glue.

Westport jetty is more productive if you are willing to walk half a mile on the jetty
Very cool video!
Thanks man :)
man it looks delicious 👍
Yes, black rockfish is very good for eating
Fantastic Recipe! Gonna try it out sometime.

When are you going to him the jetty? In general it's good time, but need to check wind, tide and wave condition

Westport always provide better fishing opportunity, but I really don't like the long walk on the jetty.
@@BashiWAFishing me either.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for the recipe, looks amazing. Do you eat it with rice?
With rice and bread
Great video and nice catch. Thanks for sharing your set up. Do you go fishing in low tide or high tide?
Both should be good, but I like low tide better.
Bashi- is this the ocean side of the jetty? or the inside?
Inside
赞,可惜最近开始进入雨季了
还可以钓一个月左右
Wow great catch. Was that at the jetty?
Yes, it's at the east side of the north jetty
❤️❤️❤️❤️
