I'm old. I've been around Pentecostal/ Charismatic circles my whole life. I lived through the great planetary alignment of 1977 that was supposed to cause gravitational destruction and usher in the Rapture and the Tribulation. I've lived through "88 Reasons the Rapture Will Happen in 1988." I've lived through Y2K. I've lived through the Four Blood Moons of 2014 and 2015. So, yeah, I'm not going to get too excited about a total eclipse and 7 U.S. cities named Ninevah that have zero to do with the ancient Assyrian empire. You guys have fun. I'm gonna sit this one out.

April 8th is the solar eclipse, there is a Bible verse about eclipses Matthew 24:29-31 “The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; (so like an eclipse) the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken! Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven.” Basically, an eclipse is happening and the Bible says that an eclipse will happen before God comes back. So people think God will come April 8th. A comment says this: “Considering that the path of the eclipse is going directly over 7 different towns in the US that are named "Nineveh". Pretty interesting, not too sure if it's coincidental. (This persons) friend hypothesized that it may mean, from the day of the eclipse, we have 7 days to repent of our sins before the prophecy sent to Nineveh is applied to us. I'm not too sure what to think about that.” Another says that “Compared to the previous eclipse, this one crosses directly over a town called Rapture (in the Bible meaning you meet Jesus in the sky) so many think Jesus might return on that day, but we don't know for sure.” Interesting, huh. An eclipse is a sign of the end times, but an eclipse is actually very common, it happens every few months to at least once a year or so. These are one of the rare eclipses, but they have happened before. We should teach people that these things have happened before and they just might continue to, But never talk about it as if you know when Jesus will return. When somebody makes a video, their attitude towards telling prophecies is indirectly claiming “this is it! Jesus is about to return when this happens!”. Most people are wrong though, none of us know when Jesus will return, the eclipse prophecies have happened so many times before, I’m not saying Jesus can’t come tomorrow, I’m not saying Jesus cannot come on the day of the eclipse, i’m not saying Jesus can’t return in 100 years, what I’m saying is that when people focus so much on prophecies, more than spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, that’s when it is a problem. Let me give you some advice. If you are quick to speak about any signs and wonders over TH-cam or any other social media, be slow to speak and quick to listen, hear the Lord‘s voice, do not let signs of prophecy distract you from God so much that you become obsessed with quickly telling people about certain dates and certain times, and start to become like the astrology pagans that are currently in this day and age. I’ve seen a few eclipse videos not just about the April 8 one. I’ve seen a few from a few years ago, the continuation of people making eclipse videos, and some of them claim that this is the end, and that the world is going to end on that date. Be careful what you say and how you present these topics, the Lord is so holy, and so good that he has the power to make these signs and wonders happen in the end times, more so than Satan himself, that is why even the Lord tells us not to be afraid of these things, and not to be worried about it. It is good to document prophecy, but never hype up people and get people to be afraid, because that is not going to lead them to Jesus Christ

As Muslims we believe that the eclipse is a sign to remember god and pray during the event and ask for forgiveness. It’s not necessarily the end or the return of Jesus but it’s a big deal the prophet says to worry and pray for forgiveness and stop sin. So that’s what my family is doing tomorrow.

I'm old. I've been around Pentecostal/ Charismatic circles my whole life. I lived through the great planetary alignment of 1977 that was supposed to cause gravitational destruction and usher in the Rapture and the Tribulation. I've lived through "88 Reasons the Rapture Will Happen in 1988." I've lived through Y2K. I've lived through the Four Blood Moons of 2014 and 2015. April 8th is the solar eclipse, there is a Bible verse about eclipses
Matthew 24:29-31
“The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; (so like an eclipse) the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken! Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven.”
Basically, an eclipse is happening and the Bible says that an eclipse will happen before God comes back.
So people think God will come April 8th.

So, what do I think??
I think that it most likely will not be April 8th. People expect it and it is supposed to be unexpected, plus so much more turmoil has to happen before He comes. People aren’t getting executed for being a Christian worldwide, and being a nursing mother isn’t harder than it was five years ago. Plus, the eclipse only happens for some people. People in Asia will not be seeing the eclipse at all. So why should only random people in Ohio be able to see the signs?
The eclipse has to be an eclipse of the earth. Where everything goes dark everywhere. Which leads me to wonder- will He come back when the sun explodes? Everything will go black. It’s the only way, unless God does it with His power and snap of His fingers.

An eclipse is a sign of the end times, but an eclipse is actually very common, it happens every few months to at least once a year or so. These are one of the rare eclipses, but they have happened before. We should teach people that these things have happened before and they just might continue to, But never talk about it as if you know when Jesus will return. When somebody makes a video, their attitude towards telling prophecies is indirectly claiming “this is it! Jesus is about to return when this happens!”. Most people are wrong though, none of us know when Jesus will return, the eclipse prophecies have happened so many times before, I’m not saying Jesus can’t come tomorrow, I’m not saying Jesus cannot come on the day of the eclipse, i’m not saying Jesus can’t return in 100 years, what I’m saying is that when people focus so much on prophecies, more than spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, that’s when it is a problem. Let me give you some advice. If you are quick to speak about any signs and wonders over TH-cam or any other social media, be slow to speak and quick to listen, hear the Lord‘s voice, do not let signs of prophecy distract you from God so much that you become obsessed with quickly telling people about certain dates and certain times, and start to become like the astrology pagans that are currently in this day and age. I’ve seen a few eclipse videos not just about the April 8 one. I’ve seen a few from a few years ago, the continuation of people making eclipse videos, and some of them claim that this is the end, and that the world is going to end on that date. Be careful what you say and how you present these topics, the Lord is so holy, and so good that he has the power to make these signs and wonders happen in the end times, more so than Satan himself, that is why even the Lord tells us not to be afraid of these things, and not to be worried about it. It is good to document prophecy, but never hype up people and get people to be afraid, because that is not going to lead them to Jesus Christ

But the only sign I will give them is the sign of Jonah. He’s referring to the coming passion and resurrection. Not of a second coming. We know that because he rose again on the 3rd day- as he said he would.

The signs back then was fulfilling the prophecy of Jesus resurrection after 3 days and 3 nights, and now that we had a solar eclipse, it passed through 7 cities named Niniveh, the same city Jonah was warning about. This sign Christ has warned us about his second coming which is near and we don’t know when, we have to be prepared and repent and let Jesus into your life. For the Day Judgement comes, he will judge us how we lived our life on this earth and decide whether we get to spend eternity in Hell of Heaven. No coincidence here
