Although those altered cards look really pretty, personally I feel that they violate the Original Art rule. You can't recognize the card at all and still have to ask your opponent what it is. At that point, what's the use of having the Original Art rule?
You can play a lot of cool underpowered decks and have fun at tournaments. Most of the decks will be aggro, but there are also some nice mid-range options, such as WG ErhnamGeddon and BR Troll Disco. I also like Land Tax/Land's Edge as a fairly accessible budget brew.
