@fathermosesmcpherson Father Moses thankyou for doing a talk for us women🧡I have 2 other sisters ,growing up we did not get very much attention from our father and It had so many disatrous effects on us.Once I started seeking out God things changes drastically for the better. I have 3 daughters and a son myself, they saved my life and my husband's without a doubt. Also I never had muscle til after I had kids😂thankyou for your work.

This is true. I’m 23 F, I’ve been a Christian for 3 years and I’ve never really had that emotional connection with my dad. We spent time a few times but not enough imo, I grew up seeking attention from men- online and in person.
There are some days that I still crave male validation as a Christian (right before I watched this video, I was going thru it😂).
But thank you for the reminder that that hole can only be filled by my spiritual Father in heaven❤❤❤

Instead of craving validation from men which for you is natural i did it sometimes too for the same reason as you did cause after 12 years of age i lost connection with my mum due to problems and struggles in our family but you have one obligation and that is to become valid for The One And Only Savior Jesus Christ and then everything will go accordingly for your salvation and inner peace.

For those this resonates with-the Christian book “Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman’s Soul” by John and Stasia Eldredge is absolutely WONDERFUL. The equivalent book by John for men titled “Wild at Heart” is also wonderful and recommended by a local priest.
A woman’s wounding comes from asking “Am I beautiful and worth fighting for?” whereas a man’s wound comes from asking “Do I have what it takes?”

This is wonderful, and yes, us women DO need our primary attention from the source of God. I did not receive the proper fatherly attention as a child. I had my first boyfriend when I just turned 18 and it was the most beautiful I had felt. When we broke up, I found myself crying in the feeling that "I was no longer beautiful". I didn't have a connection with God yet, but over time I received God and at some point I found myself "being beautiful for God", and I'd affirm that to myself while doing my hair/makeup. That wasn't very long along ago. I'm 19 now, but just having affirmed that to myself helped me go deeper into finding Gods validation in my creation. Psalms 139:13-14 says "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." Love God and allow God to love you 💞 we love because he loved us first.

I share similar and more harsh reality and life than you but I am also older but it took me sometime to love myself and the others especially women because I suffered deep trauma through my family's burdens especially my mom but now I am so much better and moving great ahead in fact I realized deeply that I must let God bring even more love in my life be it a spouse especially or a greater quality based circle of faith
Wish you the best dear from now on spread pure love in the world around you and in your husband when that time comes
We men nowadays need your love in a great way cause things are so messed up we end up having really hard shell and let's say ice cold hearts that essentially only pure genuine love and appreciation can help as see God and sometimes the love of our spouse is necessarily needed for that ❤

@@gabbyeeee i have to unravel myself to anyone easily so that the enemy can not engrave his foothold upon me thats the first step to humility but we should be cautious to whom we allow to see our deeper ontological core...
The elders of orthodoxy have made things so simple and clear its our distorted identity that puts as in harm and we are obliged to acknowledge that and move accordingly.
Of course some things are for essential my inner essence to be kept but when i have the direction to do so i do it so it essentially takes me towards better knowing myself and therefore better loving myself...
To me dear a woman is the only one capable of becoming one with Christs love in the most divine way possible thats not some words lets say of pat in the back its the most real and profound way of applied Gods love towards men.
That i have understood well also and in fact a few years before i was in the misogynistic spectrum more or less and that cause ive been through hell and back through my real life struggle with the devil and my beloved women i mean that the pedagogical wrath of God came upon me apart from things with women, that came to realization when i found without knowing and confessed to a good holy monk and a friend of Saint Paisios the Athonite first years of my struggle but now i see clearly that it was all a corrupted interpretation of me understanding the world around me and that was amplified by the devil....
I say to you in the sweetest manner possible you are the only absolute Divine Priestesses of love and you are to be moving greatly along that path remember my words dear cause you are young but still listen to me cause ive helped lots of women that i was close or not and i am so happy now that i know they do better regardless they do their life and i do mine......
Carve your identity along that path and watchout for devils trickery and manipulation cause lots of times he plays with and through your emotions in order to make you harsh as he does it with men but with men he uses different tactics and then its difficult to stand and fight so its better to fight and resist with holy ways early on than later....
Take care i hope my words reach out on you deeply i wish you find the one and only man that can make you be not just feel rested and relieved by Divine standards that is....
Your answer was so in tune with who i am if fact you are the first one that grasps and respects my deeper need for expressing and helping myself along those lines.
If you are in a state of being that allows you to get spiritual benefit from what i share with you i would think it would be great if we could share a few words like these through an email or twitter just for both of us to be safe.
Anyway i was just expressing my deeper need to get helped through spiritual communication.

@@gabbyeeeethat's natural processes of finding and knowing ourselves first then we move towards God
Just hold deep inside what I told you essentially and you will be fine regardless
I've been through that path I know what that is just love and forgive yourself and fight and follow the path of Orthodoxy it will clear out all your ontological noise
God bless take care of yourself and fear not and plow ahead, we need time some time to find ourselves and in the process we make mistakes or sins that's natural that's something that anyone has been through
Love and forgive cause in the end nothing is to greave more than not acting to that and I know that very well that's why I talked to you ❤

A basic green flag for an emotionally healthy girl is to have a secure family with both parents and a firm father figure. Education and community guidance also helps. Otherwise there's a lot of work to put in.
If you are a young woman who wasn't born into ideal circumstances, then the simplest may be to find a godly husband and submit to him.

Hey Father, I am 37 year old Orthodox unmarried woman, tried monasticism over 10 years ago, it did not work out. I have tried dating orthodox men, doesn’t work out. I also have a chronic mental illness since age 25 and have struggled with marijuana addiction for almost 18 years. I am clean and sober now. My mom passed away almost 18 years ago when I was 19. She had a chronic physical illness my whole life, and my dad took good care of her and was a good husband and father. However I think he was burned out most days. We did do a lot together like watch old TV shows and black and white movies. We attended church every Sunday and he served at the altar as a sub deacon. I attend a local parish and participate in the sacraments, and I have had the same spiritual father since 2017. My question is: what now? It’s hard for me to get involved in church, I do sing in the choir and attended the Antiochian women’s meeting last week, but my parish priest misunderstands me whenever I have a manic episode. Thank you for these videos. YP sent me here.

There are three levels of existence: the physical, the psychological and the spiritual. From the physical to the spiritual, the distance is the same in all people, but in women the middle level is a bit higher than for men, that is why sometimes women confuse psychological states with spiritual states. It is more difficult for men to confuse the two, but they are more vulnerable on the physical level. Women can stay longer on the psychological level, whereas men cannot; they fall too quickly on the carnal level. We priests specially must know that and always be on our guard. The distance between the ordinary level of life as we all live it, and the level of sanctification is the same for both male and female, but the distances between the three levels - physical, psychological and spiritual - is different in men and women. Fr. Sophrony explained this to us, and it is something useful to know in our pastoral care. It is good to know where our vulnerability lies, so that we are careful.

    we need more powerlifter priests
father i find it hard to avoid the build up of pride when it comes to lifting, not vanity but more of a looking down on people, how physically unwell we as a society are, etc.
i find it hard to not make comparisons individually, looking down on people for their physical health and seeing myself as "better" for that
i feel the same with competition,
how do we regulate/keep this in check?
how do you avoid that build up of pride, or this constantly competitive mindset/worldview
a video on competition and pride, and how competition ought be kept in check would be great
    God bless you father

We all struggle with pride. It is exactly that, looking down on people for whatever reason. Pride and arrogance. We should put ourselves in their shoes. And we should remember that we know nothing of them, but only God knows them.

When Father Moses talks about how women see emotions in technicolor and attributes that to being able to reach deeper into their souls and enables them to be more spiritual usually it made me think that is partially why God made Eve from Adam and why we become one with marriage. It allows for them to gain what they're missing that the other one has. It may be far-fetched, and as someone new to it- apologies if this is left field thinking- when Jesus tells us that ideally, he would prefer that we were like him and didn't need one another (marriage) but it's okay if we do because someone who is filled with the Holy spirit doesn't need things of this earth to aid them. But if they do, then God has established marriage for us, including children.
This may be too far-fetched, but the though came to me as he was on the topic.

I am not the priest obviously, but I consider myself similar to you. I am very sensitive and feel things deeply. I always went after sensitive and "deep" women, but it always ended badly. I longed for a woman who "just gets me", but that had, like Fr. Moses says, more to do with being neglected as a child. I worked through this a lot with a priest. The wound healed. I prayed to God to bring me the woman he wanted. My now wife, is very sweet, but she is very practical. Not lost in la la land like I used to be, and that has helped to ground me.
Our marriage is wonderful and I am very happy I did not get the "sensitive artist" I used to want. That is my advice to you.
Let God guide you and discern your decisions with the help of a Spiritual Father who really knows you.

Father, I have a serious problem. When I my prayers, specifically morning, after I feel like they were not good enough, so I say them again, and I let my pride judge me, not god. Every morning I say the Jesus prayer 50 times and say repentance psalm 50. But I feel like I did not say them to get closer to God. Thoughts go on in my mind when I pray, and it is hard to get them out. So I say them again. Please help me, I don’t know what it means to get closer to God, it is confusing for me. I’m only 11 years old.

Hello there! Sometimes it feels like God is distant, somwhere far away. But feeling are not facts. Because you know, God sees and hears everything. He knows you perfectly. He knows 100 % all the time of everything and everyone. So you can be sure that He hears your inner prayers, your quiet thoughts. He sees your heart, he knows what you are like and he understands everything about you.
Sometimes we humans forget this 😅. We can't understand, we don't know everything. So we can't fully understand God either. Pray. Quietly or out loud, he sees you. He knows what you are going to ask before you even say it. Pray honestly from you heart, like David did in his Psalms..❤
      May the Lord bless you❤

I can’t remember where I’ve read it, but it has been said that women are more naturally inclined. But there’s lots of anecdotal stories from the saints. Ever notice how many of their mothers were pious and passed that on to their sons? Lots!

    • @rxh2490

      Saint Basil wrote about it.
"Basil also stresses the complete equality of both genders, deriving from the same human 'lump' (φύραμα‎), both in the image of God, endowed with the same honour and dignity (ὁμοτίμως‎), in perfect equality (ἐξ ἴσου‎). Men even risk being inferior in piety (Homily on Julitta 241B). Likewise, in Homilies on Psalms 1, PG 29.216-17, he insists on the Socratic and Stoic tenet, here Christianized, that man and woman have 'one and the same virtue' and 'one and the same nature' (φύσις‎). Their common creation was of equal honour and dignity (ὁμότιμος‎); they have the same capacity and activity (ἐνέργεια‎), and will be given the same reward.”

@@fathermosesmcpherson the last time I heard the opinion "women are more spiritual than men" was from a lead pastor who had put a woman over all the young men in his congregation. Women are more agreeable than men, more compliant than men, and bunch of other things but those are not the same as "spiritual". If women are more spiritual, why would God reveal himself as masculine?

It's because of the power and heartly essence father here says absolute Truth women are more Faith based and inclined men are more applied action based and inclined that is shown really well in the new testament and sometimes in the old but none of them alone leads to theosis that's why we need marriage ❤

@@icecold229 Women also statistically fall more into Eastern mysticism/foreign spiritual nonsense like: Yoga, astrology, heart chakra crap, & shamanic/hallucinogen "retreat" garbage. I'm curious as to why our spiritual shepherds don't discuss this. If sins of vanity "manifestation" astrology cults are more likely to he sought out by women, & these outlets are incontrovertibly demonic via an Eastern Orthodox theological worldview, then are these problems not addressed?
