That description of The Creeper is sooo scary!
Thank you!
i also read the twisted ones recently and really enjoyed it. kind of random but i love when horror books include phrases that constantly pop into the character’s head (like in pet sematary too) and i loved her relationship with her dog lol
Glad to see another set of reviews. The Creeper was good, I enjoyed it. It built suspense well early on and was eerie for long enough to get me invested. Get well and bring me more horror. Happy New Year.
Thank you, I will. And Happy New Year to you too!! 🎉
Thanks for the great reviews! I put many on my Goodreads "To Read" list. Congrats on attaining your reading goal, that's a lot!! My favorites from this year in my reading has been the Anna Pigeon series of mystery / crime novels by Nevada Barr. Anna is a law enforcement officer with the U.S. National Park Service who has many exciting adventures solving mysteries. Nevada Barr ,herself a park ranger, is a wonderful writer who does incredible research & describes the National Parks beautifully while engaging the reader with tense plots & personable characters. I've loved every book in this series!
The Jacquelyn Harpman book has been around for a while - 3 decades I think - but I never got around to reading it, despite meaning to.
You've convinced me to get a copy, as I like dystopian/apocalyptic type novels done properly.
Yeah I think it was only translated into english in the last few years but it only got on my radar recently. It's a bleak one but I hope you enjoy it!!
Currently reading Aberration in the Heartland of the Real by Dr. Wendy S. Painting, absolutely mindblowing.
19 claws and a black bird was just okay for me, but I do think it was the first book I read by this author - I do want to read Tender is the Flesh though
Tender is the Flesh is such a fantastic dystopian take on the human psyche. I binge read it because I just couldn't put it down. Hope you enjoy it more than 19 Claws!! 🖤
@@RGsDevilship thank you so much!! It sounds fantastic! 💜
I have branched out in my reading because of your videos. I think I will look for The Creeper next. It's a 45 mile drive to the closest book store. I don't like to order books. I like to promote brick stores. So the next visit I will find it. Thanks
I loved Mary. That end was so bizarre and insane.
It was so creative, I love when a book can exceed my expectations like that!
Thank you for pronouncing Patroclus right 😅 Great reviews as always, can't wait to see your content in the new year!
I thought I was the only one who felt that way about Song of Achilles, it was definitely redundant but had potential to be better. Also I just felt that Patroclus was written in a shallow way, he had no personality.
P.S. Have you read Out by Natsuo Kirino? It’s a really good Japanese crime novel, and hopefully it can be a better experience than Fish Swimming In Dappled Sunlight 😅
Hello there hey there hey Hello hi
Heya hope you're keeping well!
I only watch because Roya is hot. If there is good book recommendations, that’s just a bonus 💙
