Hello Stephen, i´m from Brazil. I want to thank you for this serie. Help me a lot to Make my streaming live chuchr much better. And this video in particular helps me a lot, because the price os waves Plugins in Dollar its very expansive for us in Brazil. Keep Going, God Bless You
This is an absolutely awesome series, in some ways better than some of the dedicated Reaper tutorials I've watched, but with so much additional, legitimately useful information added. And call me crazy, but I prefer the free plugin mix. There's something a little too "rice crispy-ish" in the Waves mix for my liking. Thanks for this great series, and all the tips.
Hey Stephen! This series has been fantastic. I find that a lot of church audio tutorial videos assume some things and can often leave me more confused than before I started; in contrast, your videos are so thorough. I especially appreciate when you explain the “why” behind your decisions. Really looking forward to the next video on loudness.
1. You're content (Channel, Instruction, and advice) is pure Gold 🥇! Thank You! 2. Waves is gonna keep on Waves'n....the subcription model is gone...but plugin support is lacking... you run the risk (especially with new Apple products) of plugins acting goofy (not recognized or not compatible) with Apple or 2nd/3rd party software (Pro Tools, Studii One). 3. Totally rando observation 🤔The 2nd License promotion is only good for one year to put a plugin you already paid for on another computer. BLUF: Waves has a lot.of higher end Music, Video clients (Like Pro Tools)...IMHO the business practice looks the same. IMHO if you renew (even with the usual subscription discounts every year)...you:ll end up paying back into the original plugin price...i.e.,... for plugin support. Just my opinion sorry for the Rant❤
Hey Stephen, how you been man is Tito from Miami? what kind free plug-ins can I use for the live stream at the church? Remember what I told you I don’t have those fancy gadgets.. I am only using the black magic EQ… let me know what I can use to make it sound even better..
Check out the link in the description of the video. I'll do an evaluation for $100, which includes me listening to a few of your mixes, asking a bunch of questions about how you mix, and then making some specific recommendations. I can also make a complete template specific to your situation if you are mixing in a daw.
@@BallastMediaHe could also use Comper and put it on the Opto setting for a 2A style compressor. or 2kan LA built in after you install the reaper Pak. Good content buy the way
Sure, you should be able to do something similar in Studio One. All the VST plugins will work in Studio One, just the Green Dynamic EQ won't be available for S.O.
Not really, other than as I use plugins, I take note of ones that are zero latency and keep a folder in Reaper with those. Also, Waves has a listing of their plugin latency on their website.

Wow this video is actually pure gold. For a drummer struggling with live streaming and getting a good mix, I can't thank you enough.

Top videos. Helps our church make a better stream. You give us ideas and solutions. Keep it up! Pieter Netherlands
Thanks!
freakin LOVE the fresh air plugin.
Thanks for sharing
Love from india 🇮🇳💐🙏
This is great, such a good series. Would you consider sharing a basic template with your routing setup to build off of? God bless
Will be interesting to see mixing with stock plugins only. I think it will be also successful.
These videos are amazing 🙌🏾🙌🏾 thank you so much

Thanks, appreciate the feedback.
Bonus points for using reaper 😁
Even more points for showing John Matthews (Tukan)
And even more points for helping churches with your content!
It helped me a lot✨
God bless bro🙌🏻

Hi where can I download your final mix for this video? I like your mix btw.
Great video
what you also forgot to account for with the scheps plugin was the harmonic saturation which is definitely key in most cases.

How do you route the reverb and the plate channels ?
The individual vocal channels have a send to the effect channel. And then they are routed to the vocal bus.
thank you
Oh yeah Shout out to Analog Obsession!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Question: what if you had plugin with latency but all the tracks longest latency where the same? Wouldn't yhat keep everything together?
Sure, but that would get cumbersome to keep track of, and easy to lose track of.
Don't see any where in the description of the video where I can get the link to the Tucan Plugings
In the description under Vocals, the first link is to the tucan repository.
I would like to know how much do you charge to help fix my mix for church?

SLAX plugin is not available for Mac, and a comment on the page said it no longer works on Cubase.
Try the LALA from Analog Obsession. Accomplishes the same thing compression wise, but i thought it collapsed the stereo image, unlike the slax.

Have you developed a list of zero latency plugins just based on trial and error? Do you know a plugin is zero latency before downloading?
Not really, other than as I use plugins, I take note of ones that are zero latency and keep a folder in Reaper with those. Also, Waves has a listing of their plugin latency on their website.
@@BallastMedia, got it. That’s what it seemed, Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something obvious. Thanks!
