    For some reason I find all your videos to be therapeutic, and a bloomin' good lesson in how to do things properly! This was fairly mesmerizing to watch, great work!

    As we all know 90% of machining is the initial setup and any jigs needed to speed up multiple parts making. Thanks for sharing your methods which helps us all.

    With the first part setup I believe production can be much faster than any CNC machining center! Thumbs up!

    Nice set up. Well worth the time to set up as it would drive you crazy doing one at a time. 👍👍🔧🔧

    That's a superb setup, especially for the first part, all 3 operations without having to change any tools or even stop the lathe 👍👍👍I also like your cross slide stop, I may have to pinch that one! Cheers, Alan.

    Excellent set up and video, thank you. I hadn't thought of the depth stop for the part in the chuck, brilliant.

    Very cool. The thumbnail looked like something that has lead parts. That would’ve been cool.

    Good to see a project on the Myford. It looked as though the hole gradually went off centre as you went along, did you have to reface the stock and centrre drill from time to time?

      @myfordboy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I did need to do that. A faster spindle speed would have been better.

      I did not include details of their use as I showed this in a previous video and got a lot of critism with some stupid viewers unsubscibing because they did not like the item they were for. I think I have the last laugh though as show here by the quantity I am making. th-cam.com/video/kWHHg8h1BPs/w-d-xo.html

    What lubricant do you use on different metals?

    • @myfordboy
      @myfordboy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Brass and iron need no lubricant. WD 40 is good for Aluminium.
      Rocol cuting fluid on steel

    That looks like an early ML10 with cast iron bearings. Am I correct?
