i was in such a good place a few months ago,,, i had beat through my youtube addiction, was working out a hour every day and eating healthy, i was studying more than 6 hours a day,,,freaking killing it.i was in such a mentally good state. god how did i end up coming back to square one...actually i kinda know but i really hate accepting that its all my fault... i got a bit too overconfident and everything i had worked for just like...isn't there anymore. i'm trying to get back on track..your video was really helpful :')

suprmeme maybe you jumped in to fast? That happens to me sometimes. Thinking I can take on all these things at once that I don’t normally do on a daily basis. Then a couple days later I’m back where I started. I suggest just taking it on slowly and committing yourself one step at a time (:

I really want to start waking up at 5am so that I don't rush in the morning and have plenty of time to exercise, shower, do morning pages, make my lunch and do some homework/revision before I have to leave for school. I believe that this will start my day really well and I will feel like I have achieved so much already. it'll help with all of my chosen four aspects as I know it'll be good for my body and therefore good for my confidence and ability to socialise which will be good for my mental state which will mean I will be more motivated and productive with school and revision. I've been back for 2 days and both morning I have faileddd to wake up and get up and go for a run. it's definitely impacted me both days I really want to focus on starting my day well. tonight I aim to tick as much off my to do list as possible and go to bed in time to wake up at 5 being well rested or at least believing that I am well rested even if I am not. I'm sorry. I understand that no one cares about this but it makes me feel like it might actually work tomorrow if I tell more than just myself it is a goal. sorry I feel stupid for having written this but I feel like it helped.

JUST this week, I changed my major from nursing to biology because I realized that it is not for me, and all my nursing friends telling me that I’m wrong. I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed and confused, and here you are with another video that comes at the perfect time! As always, thank you for the beautiful and helpful content :)
Edit: I do the exact same thing with my fingers when I’m anxious!

This is literally me. Used to wake up at 5am and work out but going back to school threw me off so much and I've been taking each day as it comes, which of course does nothing to help with my anxiety and overall well being. Definitely restructuring my life again

I've done this journaling exercise every month for the past 3 months and it has totally transformed how I think about my life! I've been able to actually make progress on changing things that bother me or aren't healthy instead of just brain dumping every few months and nothing changes. I'm happy to say my quadrants have gone from almost all negative to all the rise. Thank you so much for this exercise!

i've been focusing a lot on balance, between my many school obligations, work, spiritual practice, and creative outlets. my job is something that i do purely to save money for when im in college and to have enough money to see concerts which bring me so much relief from my stress, but it wears me out a lot. so i've tried to balance my time and energy, and i really needed to hear the 80/20 thing right now. it totally changes my day when i stretch, write, and eat in the morning, and read, play bass, and tidy up before bed, and i've forgotten how much of a difference it makes.

I’m a landscape architect major and when people say architecture is very time consuming, they’re not playin lmao. I’ve been struggling a lot lately in balancing my school work with self-care. Recently, it’s gotten better as I’ve adjusted a bit more and realized that not everything I make or do has to be perfect. I’ve learned in the past week that there’s a difference between trying your best and being a perfectionist.

Since I work from home and take online classes, it's really important to me to stick to the schedule I set for myself. I use Google calendar to block out time for my daily routine; wake up and journal at 7, do yoga at 8, shower/start getting ready for the day at 8:30, eat breakfast at 9:30, and then by 10 I should be ready to start working on whatever I need to do. There's a chunk for school in the morning/early afternoon, and a chunk for work in the late afternoon/evening. I usually start winding down at 9:30 or 10, and by 11 I'm knocked out lol.
Great video! Lots of helpful tips here, I'll use this if I ever fall off the wagon.

Since watching your videos abut "getting back on track" I have finally realized that it is completely normal to lose sight of your good habits. Since I have realized that it became so much easier to just accept it and let myself have a few days or weeks of not being on track and stop the self hate. THANK YOU! :)

This is such perfect time for this video! Waking up earlier is what I’m trying to do, too. I think I can get by with 6 hours sleep, like you also mentioned. (I’ve read a lot of articles debating whether or not 6 is enough but 🤷🏽‍♀️) My husband and I work separate jobs but similar shifts. I get home around 8:30 PM. He gets home closer to midnight. I go to bed at 1 A.M. and I’m trying to wake up at 7 A.M. My work days are 6 hours M-F. But I also have a goal of being an author as my career. And I also highly value reading, fitness, cooking healthy meals for us, and lately watching some really good anime and Japanese drama. Also I’d like to learn a language or 2. It seems making time for everything is impossible. So I’m trying to develop the perfect schedule for me.

This was perfect. I do independent study, and am a chronic procrastinator. It’s become a giant problem and step one of getting better at it is waking up early so I can have enough time to do what I want to as well as get my work done. I’m working my way up, so I’ll start getting up at 7:00. I’m trying to implement more exercise and meditation into my routine, as well as have time to make my own meals rather than eating junk 😬 This was so so helpful!! I’m excited to try it.

    What I am working on:
    - Find a part time job that I enjoy (nothing out there yet)
    - Reduce waste (I already cut back 50% on my plastic waste)
    - Save money with cooking more and be more concious about what I buy
    - Get to a capsule wardrobe / donating everything I didn't touch in 6 months
    - Get back on track with my Japanese studies (Already started, I forgot a lot :D)
    - Start Tai Chi (I love it so far

I just put together a night routine over the weekend. My goal with this is to sleep better, wake feeling rested and to keep my mood and mental health up!
I started like you did, last thing first and worked my way backwards. I start with tea and finish with about a half hour of reading. the middle includes night time suppliments, packing lunch, a little tidying, planner/journaling, hygiene, and about 20 minutes of yoga

This is so relevant to my life right now! I'm planning how to best use my days for the next couple of months while I'm working a theater job during the week and working at an orchard on the weekends. I have a lot of free time in the morning during the week, so I can plan out a routine I like, and I want to get back in touch with my spirituality too. I'm hoping to spend some time refocusing on my big goals and figure out how to put them into practice. I feel like I've been a bit lazy with that lately. Thank you for this! How encouraging and practical! I am very interested in resuming reading before bed since I've gotten so distracted with my computer that I tend to go to bed way past midnight. Definitely need to change that. I love that you're practicing Falun Dafa and approaching spirituality in a holistic way by not only meditating but also practicing writing and your language skills in the process. It makes me want to pick up calligraphy and do that for Biblical texts as well as books of poetry that I admire. What a special way to read and absorb the content of what you're reading! Also, my goodness, I have never heard of those collagen tea products and they look like such a perfect addition with many benefits. Thanks so much for linking those, the skin care and for every thing else, including the motivation to get back on track!

Thank you for this! I did this exercise this morning and it has brought so much clarity into what I need to do in order to achieve a better life. I had been feeling a bit meh for the past few days because I was feeling way too overwhelmed about all the goals I want to achieve but not having enough time for all of them (which resulted in me procrastinating almost 24/7) and your tips have helped me realize what are the most important steps to take and what requires my attention and focus now and what can wait. I feel so relieved now and ready to kick those goals in the butt! 😁

the start of school was really good for me but I got sick which gave me a Covid scare (turns out I was just sick). That consumed my mind and I didn’t do any work for 2 weeks... now I’m behind and my midterms are coming up. And just today someone hit my back tire so now there’s a big dent and scratch there. Also I’ve been wanting to finally get fit but as a working college student I feel like there’s no time anymore. I’m so lost and stressed (but still grateful for what I have).
