Since Black Ops 2 Zombies released in 2012, it contained a very interesting ranking system which was never explained to the players. The community as a collective began debunking and testing loads of different things during 2012-2013 to determine exactly how it worked and a small % of people understood it. To this day however, a LOT of people still don't properly understand it. In the last six months, this ranking system was finally cracked by @destinydobby who has reverse engineered the system to include it in his remastered version of Die Rise coming to Black Ops 3 Zombies!

As far as competitive zombies goes, I would love to see Grief from BO2 make a return. Countless hours of fun screwing with the enemy team to get an early dub

I believe we're getting 2 full years of Round based zombies, being now in 2024, and 2025. I do like MW3 zombies, however, I would love to see Outbreak from Cold war also be another selection as well. I have hopes we'll get Round based this year, let's keep our fingers crossed 🤞🏽🤞🏽 because treyarch are doing Call of Duty 2024 this year.

6:51 I feel that they had the idea of party type games down just felt limited. I remember my grief matches with my friends from school, and we would also play turned. Turned and grief had way much more potential and I always wanted more from it. It's a shame you only get to experience it if you were there now.

I totally forgot that these ranks existed... I would find it cool if something like this came back. Would be one more thing to "grind" even when the game is not as populated anymore in the future.
Round based zombies needs to be the main feature with zombies, with regular updates. The new modes are ok for a while but the replay ability is not there.
Still don't understand how someone me and my friend carried through the tranzit ee got shotgun rank. He went down 15+ times, and hardly did anything. My friend and I were dumbfounded he got it. It was like his 3rd ever match. I felt like at times it was truly random
In the early days of Tranzit there was a round skip glitch that you could use to get to Round 255 in less than an hour. So a lot of players got Shotguns that way.
he probaly already had the Round/Down requirement and was only missing time played, which he probaly completed in that match. I had a similar experience with my knife rank

I would love to have that level ranking system back. Not 100% the same but a little close to it, so we really know who is good and who is not at zombies. Would also like to play old maps in todays COD Games.
It goes without saying.. this is just as complicated as we all expected back in the day. Blue eyes was all I ever had because I’ve been playing zombies daily since WaW 😂

My brother and i used to call the first two ranks chicken bones and we would always back out when we saw them chicken bones ppl. Good times man.
Part of me would like Grief back. It was casual. It was a silly goofy time. But the other part of me knows modern grief would really put meaning behind the mode’s name. People would find dirty glitches/bugs much like what’s been going on with MWZ. Then again, it’s not like grief has an inventory system. One game ending in a dirty loss isn’t going to affect future games. Maybe Grief is what we need rn.

My friend used to sit in glitch and leave trigger down with elastic band killing zombies overnight and get to round 100+ get skull and shotguns
Ive been wanting a "ranked" zombies FOREVER, the ranked mode you increase the speed and damage of zombies by 1.5x and rank up based on this system (Round/Down ratio)

Also there were times where I would play get my rank up pretty high then if I didn't play for a day or so I would boot the game back and I would go down a rank
I expected it to be about rounds/down ratio but it seems like there is more to it.
So how is it calculated exactly? What are the numbers we have to use the 0.25 influence and stuff?

Zombie is an experience (was) and grief and turned were a funny way to play chill and having fun, no competitive needed
Ever since they took that from us It's been hard to tell if it's OK to play with people or not.
i hope they stick to regular awesome roundbased. maybe as a side thing to try ok, just don't let them think it's ok to veer away from round based. EVER
Zombies should be competitive back in the old days i would play against friends betting money who could survive the longest doing things like who can survive longest in the first room who could go the highest round with out going down its was good times purposely leading a horde of zombies into the other player when they least expected it was always fun were you good enough to get out or did you fail to make it out

Mine was always a knife and a skull and that's what we figured it had to do with deaths
I can disprove 2 things in this video.
1. BO1 did in fact have a ranking system (at least how most of us saw it). It tracked your highest rounds and displayed it in the pregame pub lobbies.
2. I’ve created brand new accounts on BO2 for the sole purpose of trying to get dbl shotguns in one game & succeeded. Is it because there’s still 30hrs of playtime tracked on the system I was playing on? Maybe I’m not following what you’re saying 100%…

Personally they should’ve done the competitive gameplay for zombies right after ending the aether story line they shouldn’t have rebooted it, it’s a good story but not the OGZ they could’ve carried in chaos, but personally a skill based zombie mode would be good

Easy boost jump on oragins (best map imo) do the ee but dont send the drone ice primary stg secondary wind in kick or fire run 60+rounds easy

Plus now multiplayer and zombies rank are the same thing like what’s even the point of that? We didn’t know all the specifics, but figured out the time played, rounds/downs portion. This is a great explanation.

Feel like this wasn’t a secret though? I remember a friend telling me it’s all based on time you play, he was slightly wrong but I mean
you could never get the numbers right of how many kills you needed or deaths or whatever but TheRelaxingEnd made it pretty well known how to get max rank he literally has 10 play throughs on his channel ranking in any possible way

DUUDE!! I Always ended the game by killing myself if i had to stop playing the game. I thought it was bad luck to just quit from the menu.
Make ah asymmetrical game, have two teams Players vs entity, 10 players vs 2 or 1 entity players, let's look at Evil dead game, the skill tree as well as the prestige system is by far best example of balance for both teams. Now for spawning zombies, Killing floor spawns zeds in by walking into the map cod zombies spawn undead through windows, gaps and holes, use evil dead idea but instead of 3 spawning max it to 8 or 10 for fps experience. Put events in the game like outbreaks (cold war zombies) or the 3 objectives like evil dead that'll have upgrades heals ect (drops from zombies too), loop it, the objectives spawn in every 5 or 4 minutes for players to get supplies and drops such as (an idea or example) ah wristwatch that cools down action skill, armor that increase health, shoes that increase movement speed, coffee that temporarily gives reload spped by 15% ect, make it into ah endless horde mode vs entity player (s) with mini objectives that keep healing up players and dropping weapons, let's say we're in wave 8, new wave starts from the entity screen. They'll want to travel back to other parts of the map to find new ghostly buffs that spawn in each new wave, when used it'll give the horde ah boost in hp or faster hits knockback, or ah buff gold buff found in the junkyard (these buffs are randomly generated to be anywhere) that let's the entity spawn horde at faster rate etc, this will keep them from staying on the players, it'll convince them to move away from players to get entity points or hidden buffs on they Mini map when hovering over ah namesite location, make the maps regenerate maps, meaning make it rain or sunny or put this location on another spot instead of the same location, in endless mode you have to survive 10, 20 waves to get the evacuate objective to spawn in, you need at least 4 players there to start the objective, to keep the team aspect in check. (Remember this is fps on killing floor or Cod Zombies style content not 3rd person.) Players have classes that expand more classes when dlc or update patches release, that'll give the character Fear/Entity abilities, such as half entity powers half mercenary skills, such as demon Hookshot to get on roofs, turn ah horde against each other with undead substance in ah grenade that'll make them distracted if thrown on player or entity in control of ah horde They'll Attack it. Call on helicopter to attack for 3 mins, or drop down some Ai troops that the entity can not tell if its ah player or Ai and distract them. You'll find these entity abilities in buildings that's randomize locations and these mercenary abilities are in randomize names items locations (if it's ah gun store expect to find ah radio they're, example) normal mode you fight ah big boss in max of 10 or 20 waves in endless mode its balanced to make the entity's skill tree in game to go down 2 or 3 levels in each wave to decrease the entity's power, if human team completes ah objective in the wave the entity level goes down one or 2, if they cannot complete objective and next wave starts the entity stays at that level. Max entity level is 40 or 50, max spawn is 12 beginning is 4. Have abilities that when ah player runs into ah corner near ah window shooting at zombies in front of them, the entity players
Either rush the zombies into breaking through the windows instantly or increase the spawn rate by the windows to surprise players. Similar to cod zombies perks they're perks that you get through the maps that'll give you ah slight boost in status. Prestige has 10 to add to skill tree and 5 additional points that you can increase rates such as boost spawn rate or movement speed. Example spawn rate default is 5, 2 prestige rate increase goes up depending on who the character entity is (this will when in high levels make it so that humn team fights against 150 zombies in wave 1 vs default level 75 . There's jump scares that'll decrease recoil and abiltiy to see players outlines and traps that'll teleport players across the map once ah wave (set trap by the entity) or teleport them into ah objective location in ah small area away from general location (like outbreak in cold war) where they'll have to survive in that one location until the timer ends,they're rewarded and get spawned back into the map, the entity can only do this once or twice (if Perstige) to distract trap players and attack the ones still in the main map. They're customizations for microtransactions on characters and entity's, vehicle customizations and weapon skins. No campaign, endless mode (humans vs entity), pvp (humans vs humans) lost tapes mode explaining the characters complete lost tapes unlock hidden perk or customizations, you'll spawn into the map, chat with pilot wholl teach you how to play the basics tell you what to get what objects to do ect, each lost tape is found in game, the 1st 2 are tutorials in ah bot situation,the others are challenges that have to be completed in ah online game (to make it challenging) to give you these hidden rewards/ perks that contribute to the entire team such as get 25% ammo back each round or increase stun damage by 10%( if the teammate with the perma perk gets down in game the bonus Stats is gone for ah wave or the entire match, its when you get down and you dont get revive you repawn in the match the perma pwrk is gone he rest of the game,if you get picked up or revived its still stays, respwaning decreases your health to 70% healing max 85% getting hit by undead or entity's attacks are increasd to 15% if you get down and respawn again its 30% ect ( because its 10 vs 1 or 2 players this will balance overpowered health perks. You get the tape you go to ah old TV with ah vcr play it and dialogue appears at the bottom of screen exampling the Senario and hidden objective that only the players near the TV or cabin can see. The bonus object is underneath the main object but you don't get ah mark on the map it's all hints. They'res ah easter egg but it makes the entity's maxed out and the fights are longer because your team has to contribute in finding parts to bulid structures and dialogue moments, that'll have you fight the horde at the same time, team coordination is key. This is ah rts/fps hybrid game similar to Evil dead Game but in ah fps or Zombies inspired idea.

Shotgun means you're like prestige master in zombies bro. It was never explained but this is how I perceived it, regular 1 bone is recruit, 2 bones is a step up from that but still recruit just a bit better. Then the regular skull is just like when you hit prestige for the first time in bo2, but for zombies. The skull an knife is basically you're good af. And the eyes glowing just means if you have all 5 of you're checkmarks already on that rank. An obviously shotgun is the OG best rank, master prestige for zombies though.
I had shotgun with glowing eyes back in the day. I only have shotgun now but it's because I don't play bo2 zombies that much anymore

@@NejiEyes it's something that I discovered quite a while back when dumping and looking through the games files. I just figured that the game was old enough that people would have already known about how it works, because I was far from the first person to dump bo2's files for modding sake. Guess I never really looked into it and thought nothing of it
With the amount of COD zombies games out now, Zombies should be its own separate game. Keep the new "DMZ" style but also add in competitive games modes and bring back the round based matches, and remaster ALL the maps! The main reason why I keep buying COD is for zombies, Multiplayer is enjoyable but playing zombies with friends is where the real fun is with this franchise!
